Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
I love the bottle - really compact and smart looking, and really quick, easy and mess-free to use. I love the fact that there's no lid to remove each time or tablets to unwrap. I have eczema so prefer not to touch the detergent at all.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
Not really

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
I've got a cold so can't smell it at all! It seems to clean pretty well - the only dirt it didn't shift was mud on dd2's trousers, but I think my usual Ariel tablets would have struggled too.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
I would possibly recommend it... I love the bottle and pump dispenser as it's very easy to use but I'd need to use it for longer to be sure it cleans as well as my usual brand.

Shinyshoes1 · 17/12/2012 10:32

I still didn't receive mine Sad

maxylou · 17/12/2012 11:44

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?

I liked the product, doesn't take up much space and the dispenser is easy to use.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
I agree with other posters regarding the price. I tend to buy products that are on offer and if I really like something I stock up when its on offer. If theprice was reduced a bit I would use this all the time.
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
I found the fragrance nice. It wasn't overpowering and my clothes smelled clean. It removed stains well and i have used it on 4 loads so far with no complaints!
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method
Yes based on the dispenser action and cleaning power

AVL · 17/12/2012 11:50

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
I really liked the size as it was compact so easily fitted in my cupboard. I liked the pump, so easy to use and no mess.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
No, really happy with the product.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
The smell was fine and the product seemed to clean as well as my current product.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend it as I really like the pump and it seems to clean well, with the added benefit of being eco friendly.

smileyhappymummy · 17/12/2012 11:50

Really love the design of the pump, much less messy and easy to use.
Price is the big thing that would put me off. £6 is expensive for me compared to own brand options.
Liked the fragrance.
Would recommend to anyone who didn't mind the price!

Rigantona · 17/12/2012 12:13

Love the smell, - and the small sized bottle. I wash at 30 or 40, bedding/towels at 60 and it's fine. BUT I don't dare risk washing the boys' muddy rugby kits OR my dirty horse gear without first adding a few squirts of Vanish, - as I find that if you wash something really dirty 'normally' it's nearly impossible to get the stains out later. However, I never use biological liquid, just the stain remover when I need it. But generally I'm happy to use Method for ordinary day to day washing, and I would recommend it to others. I use other Method cleaning products as well and am generally a fan of 'green' products. Thank you for letting me take part!

MissMummy1 · 17/12/2012 12:14

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
So simple to use. Leaves soap drawer spotless (unlike some other brands!) and has so far been very kind to mine and DP's sensitive skin. Just a tiny amount cleans our clothes brilliantly!
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
A lower price. I normally buy what's on offer and Method rarely seems to be on offer in the local supermarkets (Tesco and Sainsburys)
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
Not overly fragrant. Which pleases DP and is great for DD's clothes. For my clothes or bedding I'd use a nice smelling softener as well.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
Would definitely recommend. Great cleaning power and the perfect compromise between washing powder and natural alternatives. Only thing that would put me off is the price.

Jenny70 · 17/12/2012 12:22

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump? Good, seems a good size bottle, easy to use etc.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? No, seems quite easy to use etc.
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? I was impressed at stain removal when sprayed onto the stain, and the clothes seemed very clean and fresh smelling using the pump (I used 4 pumps per medium wash).
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? Possibly, it certainly worked well on our white school shirts that are usually so hard to get clean - there is often playground chat about marks that will not budge etc, so I might recommend people try it.

Woodlands · 17/12/2012 12:28

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
I liked it, especially only having to use a small quantity. It is much more convenient for a small kitchen.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
The pump seems to have leaked slightly and got a bit sticky.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
I liked the fragrance, it smelt citrussy to me. It didn't last once the clothes were dry though. Clothes seem to have come out nice and clean.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
Yes, probably.

lottie63 · 17/12/2012 12:30

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?

I thought the design of the pump was very good. It worked well and easily.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?

Cost. this would be a significant factor for me.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
I liked the fragrance but actually would like it to stay on the clothes longer. The cleaning power I thought was fairly average. That is to say, it's okay but nothing special. It failed to remove stains of fresh(ish) blood on my daughter's socks where she'd fallen over and cut her knee

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not?

Not especially. I think it wasn't as powerful as other brands. I've also noticed that my daughter's excema was exacerbated. Now this may be co-incidental but I'd have to be convinced that it was truly suitable for this kind of skin type.

ElleCee · 17/12/2012 12:32

I really liked the smell and the overall efficiency of this product but I just don't get why it's so expensive, the packaging doesn't really tell me why it's so special, am I missing something? Until I 'get' why it's so expensive I just don't think it will be going in our trolley.

JustFabulous · 17/12/2012 12:42

I did my last wash with it last night and no way have I got anywhere near 25 washes with the one bottle.

Thank you for giving it to me though as it has saved me some money and was easy to use.

afromum · 17/12/2012 12:47

I cheated a little as mine didn't come when I expected it and I'd run out of liquid so I went along to waitrose to buy some. Nevertheless here's my verdict;

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Method Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?

Brilliant, I am confident I've found my new washing liquid. I love the fact that there are no cheap (therefore harsh) sulphates in it and the majority ingredients are biodegradable which I think is important for baby skin. It also washes well which I wasn't expecting but was a pleasant surprise. I'm also liking that thee is a refill bag so I can keep the pump and just refill it when needed. I don't think the fragrance is strong enough though and I'm missing my just washed musky smell on clothes - perhaps here's something in the method range that adds fragrance? I'm not ken on adding a fabric softener as firstly I don't have hard water due to a water softener and I don't like he cheap harsh sulphates he put in them.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?

The strength of the smell. While clothes wash very well its not accompanied with the just washed smell or maybe it's just no strong enough for me?

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?

As above I don't think there was a strong enough fragrance but he cleaning power was better than expected. On par with my usual harsher cleaner

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?

Definitely - I think everyone should consider buying a greener, healthier cleaner. I really like its simplicity (pumping action) and the amount of liquid required for a clean wash is a plus also. All in all a great buy :)

beaverhq · 17/12/2012 12:55

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Method Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump? I like the small size, space being a premium in my kitchen. I was disappointed with the amount of packaging used to send it though....

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? I would hope that there was refill option ?? but other than that, nothing.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? I really liked the fragrance and seemed to work just fine on a normal 30 degree wash.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? I like the fact it's compact and I can choose the amount to use, unlike the liquid tabs I usually use.

fruityxmasAbuHamzamouse · 17/12/2012 12:56

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
Good nice compact bottle. Easy to use.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
The price.
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
Fragrance is pleasant. Cleaning power is reasonable although some stains were not removed on whites.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
I?d recommend if they were ecologically minded. Not so if they were economically minded! Although having used this for a few weeks I really like it. I would definitely buy the refill if it was on offer.

Nothedevilyouknow · 17/12/2012 12:56

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Method Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
Loved it! Easy to use, compact design and so much less space needed to store it.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
Can't think why you would need to change it. You only need a relatively small amount and it isn't gloopy and claggy to mess up the dispenser drawer. Maybe the price is a little high and would put people off.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
Clothes washed fine but they weren't particularly dirty. We always add fabric conditioner so the fragrance was an irelevance. Used an extra squirt because we live in a hard water area.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
Definitely mention it to fellow caravanners and boaters, also would recommend to people with small areas for storage as it takes up so much less space than the usual detergents.

Bluetit · 17/12/2012 13:02

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?

Compact and neat, really liked the pump method of dispensing, as often doing loads of washing 'one armed' with small child in other! Very handy.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?

Not in itself, slightly more competitive pricing is always a bonus, particularly in these times, but it would depend very much on the target audience.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?

Fragrance was pleasant, although not as long lasting as others, but not a negative in the face of the eco-credentials and quality of ingredients in Method.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?

I would certainly mention it; the biggest plus for me is the convenience of dispensing and the size of the bottle for storage. It's so small and so easy to use I would happily keep it out tucked in on the worktop for ease of access when washing.

HarkTheHattifattnerSing · 17/12/2012 13:06

HAs anyone else had a skin reaction to this? DS is a sensitive soul, we usually use Fairy. started wearing stuff washed in method (school stuff mainly) and has had a major eczema flare up - elbows, stomach, backs of knees. Poor kid is an itchy mess.

helpyourself · 17/12/2012 13:09

Q1 amazed at the smallness!
Q2 would be great to have a side window to see how much is left.
Q3 liked the smell. Cleaning power possibly not so good, not tested on food stains or grass, but dog mud didn't come out.
Q4 definitely! Particularly as it's so small.

WA4 · 17/12/2012 13:22

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
The size is great. Very compact and SO easy to use. No boxes, fiddly wrappers or measuring lids and NO MESS WHATSOEVER. I didn't like the smell - I think this would put me off using it. It's also great for washing by hand. The pump is very sturdy so I would like to see a refill pouch available.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
Definitely the smell. I used my usual fabric conditioner which I can always smell as the washing dries, but the smell of this detergent overpowered the fabric conditioner.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
The smell wasn't offensive, but did have a strong "chemically clean" smell. Even with a fabric conditioner, the smell was overpowering.
In terms of cleaning, I've used it for everything; colours, whites, dishcloths, woolens and for handwashing some wool mittens which seemed to have been used for washing the dirty car by my toddler. I was amazed that every trace of dirt was removed.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
I'd recommend the convenience and cleaning power, but warn about the smell.

PJbysea · 17/12/2012 13:24

Definitely a convert to this lovely stuff! The wee ones' clothes are nice and soft, and they smell great, an off the line fresh kind of smell, not "perfumey" or too strong. I love the pump too, not a drop of wastage. Good on cleaning, definitely stronger on stains than other eco friendly detergents I have tried... so all in all highly recommended to anyone! I will be trying to locate the best price for the large refill to make it a bit more economical, and then it will be perfect :)

Idratherbe · 17/12/2012 13:27

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Method Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
Nicely packaged, really easy to use (much less messy than the usual dosing ball), smells lovely.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? No - well, maybe the price. I usually buy Persil non-bio and prefer to do so when it's on offer, so fingers crossed Method is widely sold and subject to reductions now and again. However, I am happy to pay a premium for genuinely eco friendly products.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? Lovely fragrance, and seemingly brilliant cleaning power. I usually struggle to shift stains and a dried blood stain came out first time after I pretreated with Method, and washed with the usual dose of Vanish Oxi Action and 6 shots of Method. If I'd have done the same with persil non-bio it wouldn't have come out first time.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? Absolutely, I'm always keen to bore my friends to tears with the latest eco friendly or paraben free etc offering. I'd say it was a genuinely efficient eco friendly product that I would use in place of my usual liquid.

Thanks for picking me to trial it.

joencaitlinsmum · 17/12/2012 14:06

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?
Perfect size, no carrying home heavy bottles or boxes of tablets or powder. Easy to use and get the right amount straight into the machine drum directly.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
Not really. I have read comments about the price but have'nt really compared it for value, I cant recall seeing this product in my local supermarket and would'nt want to go out of my way to purchase it from another store on a separate trip.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
Great product, tried it on all types of clothes and laundry and can honestly say its totally done the job, just washed my U13s rugby squad match shirts with it yesterday and even they have come out clean, love the way it makes my whites seem whiter a must in my book! Not big on fragrance as my guys have sensitive skin and are eczema suffers but using this product has posed no problems at all another big plus.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?
Yes I would recommend, no fuss, no mess does what it says on the tin, perfect for busy mums who want results first time.

monkeychambers · 17/12/2012 14:14

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump?

I was very impressed. I love the fact I can just grab it out of the cupboard and squirt into the drawer, saves time and also spills (which happen often, especially with children running around). Also nice and small to store.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?

Only a more compettitive price in these times, maybe on special offer occasionally.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?

I loved the smell, not too overpowering, nice and delicate. The cleaning power was great also.

Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not?

I would say its so handy to use, quick and easy....and all the comments I have made above.

In general a great product. A joy to test really.

VerityClinch · 17/12/2012 14:24

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump? I liked its size and styling, I was sceptical that it held enough liquid for 25 washes. I would prefer it to have a pump lock as my children are obsessed with pump action things and I would worry they would get it on themselves and its highly concentrated and could burn.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? No, I really liked the liquid. It was very easy to use and felt economical.
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? Loved the fragrance, my cleaner commented on how much nicer the ironing smelled, and that the clothes seemed softer. The cleaning power has really been put to the test as both my preschoolers have had the sickness bug and the washing machine has been on constantly. The laundry has come up really clean even at low temperatures, smells lovely and I can confirm I easily got 25 washes out of the bottle.
Q4 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Method Laundry Liquid to a friend/relative or not? If so, what would you say about it? If not, why not? Yes, I would recommend it. I have switched from Fairy Non Bio now, Fairy is cheaper per wash when it's on offer, but I have purchased the Method 85 wash refill carton and I think that was good value for money. It cleans well and I prefer the smell.
