wasn't sure is the liquid was supposed to go in the drawer or straight in the drum? And at £6 it's too expensive for us, and seems a lot for such a small bottle, even if it does do 25 washes.

LOVED the smell, it was quite different from most powders i've used an smelt really fresh and clean. Liked that i could squirt it straightfrom the bottle onto stains, and it got my baby's poo-stained vests clean.

I would rave about the smell, and the eco credntiwals, but would hesitate to mention it bvecause of price.

Thought it was nice. I'm not a big fan of overly perfumed products so this was nice.

I would tell them to try it if their normal product was in the same price range. I usually pay £3ish for 30 washes (Aldi) so I would probably get Method if it was on offer ( or when the country comes out of austerity measures )

I really like it's compact bottle, sits well with all the other laundry gubbins you acumulate. I also like how easy it is to dispense. For the terminally cack-handed such as myself the fact that there are no tiny beakers to fill from enormous bottles is a result.

Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid?
I'd like to see refills in sustainable packaging. These may of course already be out there but I haven't looked.

Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power?
I liked the fragrance. Subtle but enough to be sure you'd washed it. No allergic reactions to it in a house of sensitive flowers.
It coped better than my usual liquid in removing the back marks from socks worn on mucky floors.

I probably would recommend that my friends give it a try - I think most of us have used Method products at one time or another. It's a brand I trust.

I liked it and loved the small size, the pump is a good idea.

It would be better if it was available in a larger size.

The fragrance seemed ok, nothing special but not offensive. Seemed to clean ok but not yet tried it on really tough stains.

I wouldn't say anything bad about it but I don't think it'd be my first choice to recommend. Mainly due to the price.

DIFFERENT FRAGRANCES /BUILT IN SOFTENER

FRAGRANCE NOT REALLY NOTICEABLE ONCE CLOTHES ARE WASHED BUT NEAT, THE LIQUID SMELLS FRESH AND CLEAN. NOT TOO CHEMICAL. SMELLS 'GREEN' RATHER THAN OVERFRAGRANCED SYNTHETIC AND TOILET CLEANER-ISH !
CLEANING POWER IS GREAT, DONE A WHOLE VARIETY OF CLOTHES, SPORTS KIT, TOWELS, SOME 30DEGREES, SOME 60, MAJORITY ON 40DEGREE. WASHES EXCEPTIONALLY WELL, EVERYTHING COMES OUT CLEAN, ALL FABRICS WASH BEAUTIFULLY IN IT .

I WOULD, ALTHOUGH WE RARELY DISCUSS CLEANING /LAUNDRY, BUT WOULD BE HAPPY TO RECOMMEND, IT'S LIGHTWEIGHT, COMPACT, CLEANS VERY VERY WELL, BUT IT WOULD DEPEND ON PRICE . IF IT WAS A COMPETITIVE PRICE, THEN IT'S GOT EVERYTHING GOING FOR IT.

1. I really liked this- bottle was great and it cleaned well. I liked that you didn't need much for each wash too. I already use several Method products but hadnt tried this- I was impressed.

1. The only thing I might change would be the price- I usually buy washing capsules on offer.

1. Fragrance was lovely and cleaning power great on colours and whites. Definitely compared to the Fairy I usually use.

1. I would recommend - I already recommend Method cleaning products as they smell nice and arent harsh like other products. I would recommend this for the same reason.

The pump dispenser is cute and really easy to use with no drippy mess. The liquid smells quite strong on wet clothes but dries to an almost imperceptible but fresh fragrance - v nice.

I have washed 3 loads of lightly soiled clothes and they emerged as good as usual. Spag bol for dinner so there is bound to be a challenging stain on the daughter's white t shirt to test out the spot stain removing power.

I usually use Aldi's own brand of washing gel which performs as well as this and smells good too. It does not have any green credentials though and I'm probably murdering several water voles with every wash.

I would pay a LITTLE extra for the Method pump because of it's eco-friendliness but £6 is almost 3x what I pay for my usual brand, so I probably won't be buying it.

Like the pump a lot; precise and non-messy. Compactness of the bottle is fab too

I really like the smell; just right on levels of intensity. Cleaning power seems fine - no better or worse than usual Ecover. After reading some of the initial reviews I did expect some miracles, but it didn't quite stand up to a towel (ab)used by 10 conservation volunteers (but nothing much would I think)

Not sure how it would come up, but to friends with similar interests I would probably recommend, although I haven' actually spotted it in the local supermarket

I really like the bottles size, it would be light and easy to carry home from the supermarket. It also was easy to store in the cupboard and didn't leave any powder residue or gel marks. I like that I can pump it direct into the drawer or into the drum. I also found the pump useful for dispensing on to stains for extra stain treatment. This will be especially useful to take away on holidays

So far no, but I have only used it for a week so I feel I need to use it for longer to ensure that my whites stay bright

Fragrance was ok, I didn't notice that it lasted very long. I like my laundry to have a fresh washed fragrance that I can still smell whilst ironing. I thought the cleaning power was good, everything came out stain free. I would need to continue using it just to ensure that this can keep my whites bright and not start going grey.

Yes I would recommend Method. Love the size of the bottle and how effective this product is.

Q1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump? It is neat, efficient and can be used with one hand. As others have said - hopefully refill pouches will be available.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? Only to have refill pouches - or possibly larger bottles to use as refills. The size that it is means that you can easily use one hand to operate the pump.
Q3 What did you think of the fragrance? And the cleaning power? The fragrance was light and didn't appear to survive tumble drying, though haven't worn anything washed with it yet. Didn't use conditioner - towels were a bit rough even after tumbling. (Yes, I know I am evil using a tumble drier!)

Yes - because of the size and ease of use - would want to know what the price would be though - as cost plays a large part in the decision whether to purchase. (have to pay for large electric bills because of all that tumble drying)

Thank you for sending me the washing liquid to try. I was quite surprised when I saw how small the bottle was, this would appeal to me. Saying that I would be interested in if larger pack sizes are a ails me as I do tend to bulk buy washing powder as I can't risk running out!
The fragrance and performance compared well to my usual powder so on that basis I would recommend it.
In the e-mail survey it said the pack would cost £6, in theory that is ok but I want to check exactly how many washes I get before if that is good value!

1 What was your overall impression of the Methon Laundry Liquid 25 Wash Pump? I was really impressed by the design which is much better than the usual concentrated liquid bottles. It was so easy to dispense the detergent, the bottle is easy to store and quite light to carry given the amount of washes it can do.
Q2 Is there anything you'd change about Method Laundry Liquid? The only thing I would change is the fragrance. Whilst I would definitely buy the pump I tested, it would be even better if it had a more exotic fragrance.

Once I'd managed to remove the plastic seal, I accidentally squirted a few pumps up the wall! But once I got the hang of it, I found it really easy and quick to use, much simpler than scooping out powder or measuring liquid out.

Don't think so. Maybe the price, I'd probably only buy it if it was on special offer 'cos I'm a tight arse.

The fragrance was quite light but my laundry still smelled clean, and everything came out clean. The kids uniforms go in covered in lunch/paint/mud and everything came out stain free so no complaints there.

Yes, I would recommend it, especially as it is so easy to open the drawer, couple of pumps and you're away. I should imagine it would be easier to carry home too, unlike big heavy boxes of powder.

It's compact, has a simple design, and looks expensive.

Give it a nicer smell, and a larger sized bottle. Needing 7 pumps in a hard water area means I've only 1/3 of the bottle left after 5 washes.

The fragrance was not good! The first time I didn't use fabric softener and the washing smelt awful - worse than before it was washed! The fragrance needs to be fresher. I wouldn't say the cleaning power was good. Had a white school polo shirt with a classic tomato pasta sauce stain, washed in method and it only faded a tiny bit, would have expected it to disappear.

I would say it's nice that it's eco friendly (although I am unsure what makes it eco friendly as my bottle is French!) but the cleaning power and fragrance really let it down. Something like Ecover has a really fresh natural scent and it would be good to replicate this.

1. Nice smell, couldn't believe it would do 25 washes.
2. Price is a bit much as having to do 4/5 pumps due to area
3. Cleans well. Smells fine, does the job
4. Yes I would recommend it. Especially to people not in a hard area, compact bottle easy for storage, smells nice and easy to use and bottle does not drip plus good for the environment

I love the fact that it's so small and yet should do 25 washes. Looks good too - a bit quirky. Washes well, smells good.

Make it a bit more affordable. And for the fragrance to last longer. Other than that, can't think of anything.

Smells lovely and washes well. Definitely no complaints on either count! I like the fragrance more than other brands I've used.

I would (and have!) recommend method laundry liquid. I'd say it doesn't break your back carrying it home, it fits nicely in the cupboard, it smells gorgeous and it washes beautifully.

Absolutely fantastic, a great way of dispensing detergent without any mess or messing about. Love this bottle.

The fragrance was really nice, fresh and clean but not too strong. This cleaned everything beautifully and even washed paint out of my daughters school clothes. Was great on my sons school shirt collars too.

I would definitely recommend this to friends or family. I would tell them that it is really easy to use and creates no mess. I would tell them that the fragrance is fresh and clean and not overpowering and cleans brilliantly, perfect for our busy family.

Really don't lie it.... The smell is chemical and my washing just smelt like wet clothes
The one good thing is the pump action, it is a lot cleaner, no mess!
It is expensive for what you get and what it does
Really disappointed, would not recommend

It would be a strange conversation, but I really liked how compact it was, and it does work very well. So yes, happy to recommend it.

I was quite impressed by the size of the bottle and the presentation but must admit I was not too keen on the smell.

The cost is much too high for me to be able to use it as a regular cleaner as we wash at least 10 loads a week with a larger family which means it would cost nearly double the amount I currently spend.

I did not like the scent of the liquid as it reminded me of germoline however once the clothes had been cleaned I could barely smell it any more. It cleaned reasonably well although struggled on my girls grotty socks, although I am yet to find anything that works on them!

Like that it doesn't leave too much of a smell on laundry once dry. I hate that synthetic smell that some detergents have. Cleaning power was pretty good. Didn't get rid of all the tough tomato sauce stains but then I've not found anything else that does either.

Yes I would recommend this product. I would say its really convenient and Eco friendly.

Very small and light and fits in my cupboard which is a bonus. Amazing if it does 25 washes.

I like things with a stronger scent but that is just because it makes me feel like it has really worked (I know, nothing to do with it's cleaning power really, it's all in my head!!) The packaging label is a bit non-descript.
I am a little concerned it will clog up my waste pipes as washing liquid normally does that in my area (which is why I use powder). Can method do tests to see if it forms grey gunge or not please?

Yes I would recommend as it fits in the cupboard!!

OK, I've had a chance to give it a thorough testing now, so I can answer the Qs properly...

I'm generally very impressed. I love the dinky little bottle, I walk to the supermarket, so having to carry a smaller bottle is a real benefit to me. I also like the fact it will take up less room in the cupboard. Having said that, I would buy a 50 washes size if it was available. I see that there is a refill pack (85 washes) which is great. However, I bet I would get it everywhere, trying to refill the smaller bottle. (But that says more about me )

I really liked the fragrance. I was impressed with the cleaning power too. It got tested on dd1's muddy jeans after a day on the farm - perfect result.

I definitely would recommend it. My only reservation, as I said in my earlier comments upthread, is that the Miele man said liquid washes are not good for your washing machine.
