We have just received a box of Chocolate Oat So Simple - I have checked but have not received an email so I guess this box informs us that we have been selected to try it!

Both DDs are VERY excited - we might even have to try it for dessert this evening! Otherwise it will be breakfast in the morning and we will post our feedback as soon as we have some.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 10/02/2012 18:01

Just received mine. Two year old DD is clutching the box saying "my porridge". Think DH has his eye on it too!

StellaAndFries · 10/02/2012 18:43

Ours arrived today so I know what will be on the breakfast menu tomorrow morning :)

katz · 10/02/2012 19:27

Ours is not here yet either

shaka12003 · 10/02/2012 19:56

We haven't got ours yet either.

Tortoise · 10/02/2012 19:59

Ours arrived this morning. DDs can't wait to try it.

PurpleKittyKnitting · 10/02/2012 20:00

Not got ours yet, but am looking forward to trying it when we do!

boredandrestless · 10/02/2012 20:17

I missed our porridge delivery and will now have to pick them up from the post office depot on Monday. Annoyingly I was at the post office depot when they tried to deliver them! Hmm

notcitrus · 10/02/2012 21:00

Ours got delivered while I was in the hospital giving birth! Looks like the sort of thing I'll enjoy over the next few weeks but I'll let the family have some too!

eyestightshut · 10/02/2012 21:04

Ours hasn't arrived yet either, and we're off on hols on Monday! Will be forcing porridge into ours when we return!

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 10/02/2012 22:09

Missed a parcel delivery today so I'll dispatch DH and Ds's to collect it in the morning.

I have reassured DS2 that porridge can be eaten at any time of day - he doesn't need to wait until Sunday morning to try it!

tobecalm · 11/02/2012 00:50

It arrived today (no snow here! Grin ).

Looking forward to trying it and reporting back.

Box has arrived! DD loved the bear on the front.

Will leave feedback when the thread goes up.

Thanks :)

eleanorwish · 11/02/2012 08:08

no porridge here - am hoping it arrives in time for us to give some feedback. I've told the DC's that they are trying a new chocolate breakfast for mumsnet - I haven't broken the news to them yet that it's porridge.

Well I have a very disappointed DH!

Didn't receive an email to say we'd been selected but on Thursday the postman left a card to say he'd been unable to deliver a parcel. DH drove 30 minutes to the sorting office, queued for 20 minutes then drove 30 minutes back for my parcel.

As neither of us knew what the parcel was, we had a very exciting parcel opening ceremony last night when I got home from work and inside found a box of chocolate porridge Blush.

DH was not impressed especially when he said it would have been cheaper to go to the supermarket and buy some!

DS2 is trying some as I type although, as has already been said, it's very sloppy so will add less milk next time. Will post proper feedback when the thread opens.

Choclatespread · 11/02/2012 08:55

Missed my packet yesterday, so on my way to the sorting office now. Can't wait to try it. Grin

OracleInaCoracle · 11/02/2012 09:12

It has just arrived!! I DS is very excited.

shaka12003 · 11/02/2012 09:26

ours hasn't arrived will have to go buy some cereal for breakfast tommorow now lol.

crunchbag · 11/02/2012 09:46

DD (6) tried it today and it wasn't a success. I will wait untill the proper feedback thread but in short she said it smelled funny and didn't really taste like chocolate.

QED · 11/02/2012 09:51

DS 8 and DD 6 tried it today and felt it was too much like rice pudding and not chocolately enough. I quite liked it but prefer something like Ready Brek which us also easier to make (don't have a microwave so had to stir the porridge whereas with Ready Brek you only need to stir the milk into the cereal).

PattiMayor · 11/02/2012 09:54

DS was a mite suspicious at first but then pronounced it yummy and ate the whole bowl. I didn't like it personally but I'm the sort of person who eats curry for breakfast :o

lubeybooby · 11/02/2012 10:03

The box arrived this morning, thanks MNHQ and Quaker :o Will conduct the first test tomorrow. Yum.
