Thanks very much for sending me the product to test Smile. I have only scanned the other replies.

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

Overall I liked it. I didn?t think I?d like the orange smell but I did. I think it will probably last a long time as a little goes a long way. I like that you can use it as bubble bath as well as hair and body wash. I thought it foamed up really well, particularly impressed if it?s meant to be more natural than other products.

I thought it compared well to Sainsbury?s or L?oreal kids products. I think it was superior to Sainsbury?s but not quite as good at making tangle-free hair as the L?oreal fruity shampoo I usually buy.

I?m not hugely keen on the ?little devils? thing ? I don?t particularly like it when people call children devils; not for any religious reason, it usually just means an energetic small child being a normal child. I also don?t like that the word ?halos? is in pink and the ?horns? is in blue ? suggesting girls are angels and boys are devils. Actually, I think this is pretty awful ? such crass stereotyping. But that alone probably wouldn?t put me off buying it in future.

Hate the text speak on the back. Why? Why?

What does "dermapaedic" mean? For you children's skin? In which case say that, rather than this (made up?) word. It's not well-known enough to have prominently on the bottle.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

My older DD is 3.5. She was excited about trying it (because it was novel). She said ?it feels nice, feels squashy? (she meant it was a gel not a liquid). She said it smelled of orange juice (I think this was a positive comment!). DD2 is only 8 months but was perfectly happy being washed in it.

It made bathtime more fun because it was novel. I think the novelty would soon wear off it this was our usual bath product for the children!

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

I thought it performed very well. Definitely cleaned well. Easy to use. Agree with others who have mentioned a pump bottle might be even easier. I think I used the right amount ? liked that you only need a little.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?

I liked it, despite thinking before I tried it that I might not like it. Agree that it wasn?t particularly ?zingy?, but this wasn?t a problem. I would probably prefer apple smell, or apple and blackcurrant (Ribena?!) smell.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?

See answer to Q1 about devils / angels/ horns / halos.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I could envisage buying this in future.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would recommend it. Although I think I actually prefer the L?oreal shampoo because it makes my daughter?s medium-length hair easy to comb after washing.

stressheaderic · 22/01/2012 17:41

Tried with DD nearly 2yo, who has eczema

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

, it didn't look too 'premium'. The colour and texture of the packaging is much like the huge tube of Aqueous cream I have by the side of the bath which was about £1.50
I wondered it 'Dermapedic' was a made-up word, it looked it. Don't really like the 'devils' reference.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?
DD liked that she could flip the lid open by herself and squirt it into the bath when I wasn't looking for a moment. I didn't like this.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?
It did clean well - got felt tip off her arms and neck (!) without any scrubbing. Easy to dispense, lather up and measure amount. Hasn't aggravated her eczema so far which is great. Her skin felt soft after.
OK as a shampoo but will prob have to wash her hair sooner than usual as it didn't seem as effective as actual shampoo. It may be ok for babies but my DD has long thick hair.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?
It was very mildly orangey and not zingy at all. It smelled when you sniffed the tube but I couldn't smell it on her. We usually use a watermelon one from Avon which I love the smell of.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?
A pump-action bottle would be great, or a hanging shower hoop. It is fine as it is though.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I might, as it doesn't seem to have aggravated her eczema (so far - 3 uses) but only if it was on offer as it is expensive for this kind of thing. I don't really buy premium bath products just yet as DD knows no different.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?
I'd probably tell those with children with eczema who can't use Matey etc to try it as an alternative to Simple.

Thanks for letting us try it :-)

SleepyCaz · 22/01/2012 18:32

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried? First impressions were that it looked very appealing and had nice bright child-friendly packaging. Smelt nice. Had never tried all-in-one hair and body stuff before.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not? They were looking forward to it and said it was 'nice and washy'!

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right? Bit too much ran out all at once, cleaned the DC's hair and grubby bodies nicely.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use? Nice fragrance, not overpowering like some. I always distrust overtly perfumed products, due to DD's sensitive skin/eczema.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how? Another vote for pump dispenser.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not? Loved it, but think it's far too expensive.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, it was convenient, being for hair and body, plus it didn't make DD's skin flare up, so it's a thumbs up from me. Might mention the price though.

dinkystinky · 22/01/2012 18:46

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

Liked the packaging - as did my 2 kids (DS1 aged 5 and half and DS2 aged 2) as it was bright, cheerful and funky. Also loved that it is a squeezable tube so could hold in one hand in showers after swimming and dole out to the boys/lather them up. Smelled lovely too.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

They liked it and liked squeezing the tube. My fruit obsessed DS2 liked telling me he smelled like a satsuma!

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

Performed well - cleaned them well. Have used directly on skin (soaped up well) and in bath - doesnt create many bubbles but am happy it was sufficient soap in there to clean the boys. We used alot the first time in the shower - but that's because the boys were helping themselves too.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?

Really nice and fresh. Not particularly zingy but certainly citrusy (without being overpowering). Any fruit fragrances would be a hit with my kids - particularly melon, strawberry - as would mint (they like the mint showergel DH sometimes uses).

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?

I guess it would be slightly better if it could foam abit more in the bath (would appeal more to those kids who like foamy baths) but otherwise think its pretty much spot on.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I think so - more for showers than baths (as my kids love very foamy baths - all the better to hide under the foam). Love that it can be used on hair as well.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes - I had a few mums at swimming asking me about it when we used it!

chrisrobin · 22/01/2012 18:53

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried? It looks fairly attractive, not overly fussy packaging but obviously for children. The bottle is a good size and I liked it being a squeezy bottle too.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not? The DC liked it, they said it was tickley and soft when I used it. They weren't keen on the fragrance though, DS2 aged 3 said it was 'yucky moo'- but they don't like oranges so that may have something to do with it! I don't think it made bathtime more fun, although they loved the thought that they were testing it to tell other boys and girls about it.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right? It cleaned well, though it didn't lather quickly. I found I needed more product than I normally use so I had to have a few goes before I got the right amount out. The lack of lather made it easier than normal to wash DS2's hair as we didn't have to contend with bubbles running down.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use? I didn't think it was overly 'zingy' and would have said it was a mild fragrance- which I prefer. As above, DS2 wasn't keen on the fragrance, I liked it though. I would like to see a lavender fragrance as bathtime is before bed and a calming scent would be good to wind them down.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how? A pump action would be good, so it can be dispensed one-handed. Maybe the corners could be rounded on the crimp so they aren't so sharp.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I would. DS1 has sensitive, dry skin and this bodywash left his skin soft and smooth with no sign of irritation.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, it seems much milder than other childrens bodywashes I have used.

Firawla · 22/01/2012 19:08

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

first impressions were good, i like that it looks like something specially for young children rather than just for babies

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

they liked it being orange but 3 year old would have liked it even more if it made the bath orange colour he said but they did like it. 2 year old was quite attracted to the packaging he wanted to play with it

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

yes cleaned them well and easy to use, didnt have any problem getting the right amount to use

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?

smelled nice, i think other fragrances could be something like strawberry or other fruits

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?

quite liked it how it is

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?

yes i would as i liked it and dcs liked it

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?

yes probably would as it was good and some of my friends look for products which are sls free and good for sensitive skin so this would be good for their dc too

OneTwoOrThree · 22/01/2012 19:14

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

The packaging is ok, reasonably eye-catching compared to the Johnsons products, but not overly exciting.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

DD is 3, so take what she says with a pinch of salt! I used it as a bit of a bribe to get her into the bath (getting to use the new exciting body wash) which worked a treat. At first she told me it smelt yucky (however she also tells me most nights that her dinner is yucky, then proceeds to eat it all), and the said it smelt fruity. It made bathtime more fun for the first night, but the novelty had worn off by the second night.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

Performance... Hmmmm. I found it harder to lather on DDs hair than her usual product (Johnsons baby shampoo), and to start with ended up using more product. After a few nights I just put more effort into lathering.

I also found the product didn't rinse off easily, taking many more cups of water than my usual product, which is not helpful if/when you have an uncooperative child.

On her body, it was fine, but again harder to rinse than her normal product.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?

Fragrance was ok - nor particularly orange-y, but non-offensive. He hair smelt ok the next day, but not as "clean smelling" as I'm used to.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?

I think it could be made easier to lather, and easier to rinse, but perhaps this is hard for a derma-friendly product. I would also liven up the packaging a bit - make it more eye-catching for mums and toddlers.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Maybe, but the extra rinsing effort puts me off.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes to those with kids with sensitive skin and/or those who feel strongly about natural(ish) products. Probably not otherwise, due to mediocre scent, and rinsing difficulties.

Hope this is helpful feedback, please let me know if you've any other questions.

turkeyboots · 22/01/2012 19:22

Bath and hair wash
Q1. Packaging looked good and like the squeeze tube.
Q.2. DC made no comment
Q3. Seemed to take more that expected to wash hair, was ok as bubble bath.
Q4. Expected it to be stronger, possibly too subtle. But my hands smelt nice after!
Q5. Stronger scent, packaging better than product.
Q6. Maybe depends on cost. But like the no nastys angle.
Q7. Yes, as it didn't set off DC ezema and is one of the very few things I could buy from the children's toiletries aisle in the supermarket, which would make DD (5) happy.

nextphase · 22/01/2012 19:58

Q1.Looked good - not linked to Disney / cbeebies, which is always a bonus. Cute cuddly teddy free also.
Q2. DS (2.5) obviously like it - he wanted to use "orange cream" in place of eczema emollient post bath!
Q3. Got rid of all the remains of a very messy dinner, and smelt lovely after. No issues with amounts, but then I've very mean with quantities of cleaners due to sensitive skin.
Q4.I liked it, but not what I'd call Zingy - was expecting something more like the original source scents from the name, but something that strong might not be very kid friendly. It was a pretty artificial smell. A million times better than the ubiquitous lavender everyone seems to think I want. (stay clear of lavender - I associate it with old ladies, not little people)
Q5. The big box with SLS / phthalates etc on the back is pretty off putting til you read the tiny free from above the box!
Q6. I'll use the tube. Judging from the rate we get through cleaning stuff for kids, its going to be a year or 2 before its finished. Would get a different scent after that. Not seen it round here tho - but we don't look at that shelf very often, and we're in the back of beyond!
Q7. yep, would recommend it to people talking about cleaning sensitive skin as a possible - doesn't seem to have caused any aggravation here.

georgieandjess · 22/01/2012 20:08
  1. I thought it looked very good. The packaging was bright and eye catching. It looked like a nice, paraben free product with good ingredients that would not irritate my daughter?s skin.
  2. She seemed to like it and pointed at the bottle when it was at the side of the bath
  3. It cleaned my daughter well. It doesn't lather too much but that is not really a big issue. I thought it smelled really nice and my husband thought the same too. It might be easier if it was a pump system.
  4. Maybe some kind of passion fruit flavour would be nice.
  5. It could be improved by switching to a pump based system.
  6. I would definitely use this again but it would depend on the retail price. If it is too expensive it would only be bought on special offer.
  7. I'd definitely recommend halos and horns, especially for kids with eczema like my daughter.
libbyssister · 22/01/2012 20:36

Q1 - good neat packaging, nice and bright. I liked the fairly thin tube so you squeeze it easily with one hand.
Q2 - my older children liked the smell, nothing they disliked. They liked splatting the leftover suds on each other!
Q3 - the product performed really well. I have 3 sons all with different hair thickness so I had to adjust how much I used on each one. You didn't much to get a good lather going.
Q4 - loved the fragrance! Just like the other Halos and Horns products it is fresh and fruity with none of that clinical perfumed smell like Johnson's .
Q5 - no, it was all good.
Q6 - yes, I would.
Q7 - if someone was looking for a product with minimal chemicals and that was gentle on the skin then yes I would recommend it.

EddiesTeddy · 22/01/2012 20:38

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?
First impression of the packaging was that the layout was smart looking but HATED the angels/devils idea and having to explain to my five year old son what they were :(
I'm another person who massively dislikes text speak, it is very childish, patronising and unprofessional.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?
Three year old daughter thought it was a novelty to not get shower gel out of a bottle but from a tube but once that novelty wore off we soon went back to the normal "I dont like my hair wahed" blues. She was also quite disapointed that it didnt lather up.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?
I was actually pleasantly suprised by the effectiveness of the product as I was sceptical as to how well it could work as a shampoo if it was mild enough to be used regularly as a shower gel but I found it cleaned the hair well and made the skin very soft. I initially used more than necessary on my daughters hair as I found that it didnt lather much but once I got used to this it was fine.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?
The product wasnt strong smelling at all and was quite a let down on that front. Other fragrances which would be nice would be cherry or amond.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?
Please get rid of the devils off the packaging and lose the text speak.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I probably would use it when swimming as it is easier to take one thing in the shower than two.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?
Price depending then yes I would based on the effectivness of the product

babloogirl · 22/01/2012 22:10

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

The product looks nice and quite modern but I didn't like the fact that it refers to kids as little devils, with regards to the other products we have used before, it doesn't compete at all, I would say it is a cheap product (but then we have only used products you can buy in french pharmacies for dd so far

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

I wouldn't say bathtime was more fun, she doesn't talk yet so I can't ask her, her skin was soft afterwards but the smell doesn't stay on the skin for long, she didn't seem freshly washed for very long

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

the product did clean, but I found it quite thick and quite hard to make it foam so maybe I have used to much of it we have to give it another go

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?

it wasn't as zingy as I thought it was going to be, it was very mild, I was expecting a product with a bit more of a citrus smell

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?

a dispenser pump would be great as it is not easy to wash little one, grab the tube and flip the lid

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I wouldn't use it again as I think that the pharmacy product we used in the past are better

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?

No as it didn't perform to my expectation and seems to me more like a cheap supermarket product with artificial smell than anything

bluegnueboo · 22/01/2012 22:29
  1. Packaging was fine, liked the squeeze tube. Dd seemed to like the graphics, me not so much.
  2. Dd complained loudly about the lack of bubbles so definitely didn't make bath time any more fun. Saying that she tried to grab it to use again this evening so she can't be too bothered.
  3. Seemed to work only so so the first evening, I had to use a lot more this evening to get bubbles and to remove dried snot. (charming image I know) It also leaves her hair very dry and brittle so definitely won't use it as a shampoo again.
  4. The smell is slightly synthetic but she liked it. Not sure that any smell is needed for baby products.
  5. Like above, not really my kind of choice but she was impressed.
  6. Don't think I'm swayed from my usual choice.
  7. Would depend on what they were looking it's by no means a bad product just wouldn't be my choice, which is a pity as I've been tempted by the range before.
scarytom · 23/01/2012 08:45

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

It was quite unassuming ? I suppose a more ?natural? look to the packaging rather than the brightly coloured stuff. I?d have probably assumed it was hand cream from a distance.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

My DS is just 3. He liked it as he found it easier to open and squeeze out himself than a bottle.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

Seemed to clean although there was lots less lather than with other products. Had to use more on his hair than normal shampoo. Seemed to clean him though.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?

It was very mild and didn?t smell of oranges at all, as far as I could tell. It smelt like a moisturising cream to me. I?m not sure where ?zingy? comes from? It wasn?t zingy.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?

I think it needs to be more colourful and needs to smell of oranges.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Probably not, but this would depend on price. I tend to use own branded stuff so if this could compete on price, then maybe.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?

Probably not, but then I don?t really talk to friends about shampoo and bath products!

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

We have been using Halo and Horns Blue from the time we started using wash and love it. The orange is a more "grown -up " smell and would prob use it when DGS is older than 16 months.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

16 months- no opinion.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

Same as Blue version so are well used to it.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?

Very fresh, suitable for older children.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?

It's lovely as it is.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Certainly, it's a good product.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend this product. It's fresh and gentle.

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

I thought it was really nice looking, in a nice big bottle and looked like a straightforward product that wouldn't hurt my daughter's skin. Thought it smelt nice too but not overpowering - some of the other "sensitive" products smell quite strongly.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

DD is 20 months and really wasn't interested either way - sorry!!

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

Thought it was good, I used it when she had been painting and had a lot of paint in her hair and it did a good job getting it out. Possibly just a bit greasy if you put on too much, I think you need to use less of it than I thought originally.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?

I liked it, it wasn't too strong. I prefer products not to have too much fragrance tbh.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?

No I thought it was great as it was.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, it didn't irritate my DD's skin (she has eczema so this is important) and seemed to work well.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?

yes because it was a nice product that cleans well and seems to be good for sensitive skin. Plus I liked you could use it for both hair and body.

Q1. Loved the packaging, writing and pictures and ?chat? on it. Thought it looked a bit small. We tend to use Sanex which comes in a big 500ml bottle. This was more ?fun? to look at though, definitely ? the Dc?s felt it was ?theirs? which was a nice touch.

Q2. Both DC?s (4 and nearly 3) liked the fact they could hold it easily and open the lid. DD loved the smell.

Q3. Very thick, took a few goes to get it right. Didn?t like it as a shampoo, took ages to get out but my DC?s do have extremely curly hair.

Q4. Wasn?t ?zingy? ? bit orangey. Would like a lemon one and a mint.

Q5. Bigger bottle ? 500ml. Pump dispenser on top lid opening ? after the DC?s realised they could squeeze it, so much of it was wasted. Loved the fact it wasn?t too drying and was free from all chemicals.

Q6. Yes, with modifications and price drop maybe, have seen that it is quite expensive after searching for it in shops

Q7. Yes I probably would

Thank you for our sample. I received this last Monday so have given it several tries for DD(3) and DS(5).

Q1. I liked the tube, it was bigger than I expected and looked nice and bright. I am not keen on the devils/angels or the text speak. We normally use products from our GP for the shower and this was a definite improvement as the other stuff is beige! Not sure about dermapaedic though, what does that mean? Maybe you should put an explanation on of what that means as I would think it was a particular specialty shower gel and not knowing what it meant would result in my not purchasing it.

Q2. DD(3) was very excited to receive this. I told her it was hers (never had her own proper shower gel as she has sensitive skin/eczema) so she was very excited. She liked the bright lid and like that she could open it herself to use with her bath mit. It did make bathtime a bit more fun as I let her squeeze the tube and use it herself. I did also use it as a bubblebath and did get a few bubbles but they did not last very long.

Q3. It was very easy to use, my DD(3) opened it easily and squeezed the right amount out by herself. I was not keen on it as a shampoo, I only used it the first time as a shampoo as took a long time to rub into her hair and I felt like it left a residue. It worked well in the shower and bath as a body wash though.

Q4. I did not like the fragrance, I thought it smelt of plastic. DD said it smelt of flowers, DS said it smelt of oranges and DH said it smelt of orange blossom! Definitely not zingy though.

Q5. No, I thought the product and packaging were good.

Q6. Yes I would use it again but only as a body wash or run into the bath water. I would not buy it as a shampoo.

Q7. Yes I would but again only as a body wash.

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

We liked it - it was attractive, in a tube (so we can take it to swimming as it's convenient) and it smelled fine. It was on par with the other products that we currently use for them.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

DS (3.11) was excited to use it (as it was different). The smell was fine. Not overpowering which is great. It made bath time exciting for them (as it wasn't the same old). washed both their hair (dd is 16 months) and no complaints.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

I thought it cleaned the children fine. easy to use. It was easy to use the right amount of product.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?

I thought it was fine - not overpowering. another fruity one?

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?

not really. I quite liked it.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'd use it again if it was the right price.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?

I will recommend it - but it's not something at the top of my mind!!

Q1. What were your fist impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?
I love the packaging, the tube of bodywash feels nice to handle and I love the way it is easy to read and understand. I like the vibrant colours on the packaging and the flip top lid is great!!

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?
My DD enjoyed squeezing the tube to get the body wash out, and it was the perfect size for her 2 hands. Unfortunately for me, it was too well suited to her hands and she squeezed lots and lots of it out Sad so it didn't last very long in my house. I would say the fun for DD was in the squeezing of the tube. I can't say it made bathtime anymore fun than that for DD tbh.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?
I thought this bodywash performed quite well, it cleaned up my DD very well, although it was more of a squeaky clean feeling than a silky soft clean feeling IYSWIM. It was very easy to use, too easy for my DD when she got hold of it Grin. It was easy to control the amount I used.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?
I wasn't impressed with the fragrance tbh. I expected it to smell strongly of orange, and imo it smelt more like almonds, in fact, on smell alone, I couldn't tell the difference between the Zingy Orange version and the original. I was disappointed in the fragrance. I would like the fragrance to reflect what is on the tube, and smell much more orangey. If the smell was stronger, I'd like to see more fruity Halos N Horns fragrances, such as Strawberry, Lime, possibly even banana?? I love to smell fruity fragrances on DD and she loves them too, so more fruity fragrances would be great!!

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?
I like the packaging, although I showed a friend, and she thought it INCLUDED sls, Phthalates, Mit, Parabens, Triclosan, Propylene glycol and Sles on first glance. Upon looking at the back of the tube myself, I realised that the list of ingredients NOT included are in bold print, but the fact it doesn't include these is actually in the smaller writing at the top of the tube. I think it would be easier to understand if it actually stated in the box that it doesn't include these things rather than just the list of non ingredients in the box. It is easy to mistake this for being the ingredients IN the product, and since this is one of the selling points, I would make it much clearer that it DOESN'T include these ingredients.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I wouldn't buy this particular version of Halos N Horns again, mainly due to the extra cost of the Zingy Orange version and the poor fragrance. However, I have bought the original and will continue to do so.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend Halos N Horns to my friends and have done so, because of the fact that it doesn't contain a lot of the chemicals and nasties that other leading brands do, and it is a hair and body wash, as opposed to two seperate products for hair and body. I have found that using a seperate shampoo whilst DD is in the bath can cause her irritation, so I prefer a hair and body wash, but I wouldn't recommend the Zingy Orange because I don't feel it is any different from the original and it costs considerably more.

KingstonRugbyMum · 23/01/2012 12:11

Q1. What were your first impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?
Like the packaging, was hoping for a more orangy smell. The product itself is quite thick and as a few other has said it doesn't seem to lather very well.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

DC all happy, all able to squeeze the tube themselves and happy to be able to wash hair and body with one product.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?
The thickness of the product gives you the impression you need to use less but as it doesn't lather well you end up using more that you would have thought you needed.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?
Love the idea of an orange fragrance but was disappointed with such a mild smell when sold as "zingy orange". However if more chemicals were needed to give a stronger fragrance would prefer to stick with the milder smell.
Any fruity fragrance would be nice.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?
As already mention- the lather.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes will buy again, also use the baby version

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes have already reccommended.

BigBadBear · 23/01/2012 12:34

Q1. What were your first impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried? I don't like the text speak, but quite like the bright packaging.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not? They seemed to like it (ages 1 and 5), mainly because of the smell. It didn't really make bath time more fun, but they enjoy it anyway.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right? I have used it before, so was used to only using a small amount. It got all the grubbiness off, and was good at washing hair though I still had to use conditioner for their long curly hair.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use? I really like the orange smell. Lavender would be good too, as it's a nice bedtime smell.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how? No text speak please.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, I like it and my kids have eczema so it seems a good option.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, I would. It isn't too pricey, smells nice and does the job without irritating the skin or scalp.

Thanks for letting us take part in this trial!

Q1. My first impression of the product - was that I liked the look and colours of the item. The tube was a good idea and looked fun. It was also very interesting for my children they liked the look of the item and my older child said it looked fab !!! Products normally come in a bottle which is difficult with a youngster to unscrew, this product seemed like you just squeezed into the bath. Great idea.

Q2. My children liked the look of this product. Liked the smell - the little one thought it was cream and therefore liked holding it before we put it into the bath - she hates shampoo - and liked this idea. The bubbles appeared nice and big and foamy which she liked. The smell was lovely too - she liked the smell. Even my older one wanted to try the bath as the smell was delicious !!. Definitely made bath time more.

Q3. The product bubbled and foamed nicely, lovely smell. Cleaned the child well and left a nice aftersmell of orange. People in group the morning after commented on how nice she smelt. Very easy to use and was able to wash my little girls hair really quickly without her noticing what was going on.

Q4. Loved the smell - also left a nice aftersmell throughout the whole of the floor. Another nice smell would be Strawberry - as a suggestion.

Q5. Can't think of anything I would change on the packaging, looks appealing.

Q6. Would I use the product again, unfortunately no, it does tend to make my daughter itch throughout the whole of the bath time session. I have tried it on my older child and it didn't. Might be due to my little one having very sensitive skin - but she was itching terribly - so much so that as soon as she came out that I had to put some cream on her legs and tummy to stop her scratching. However, I will still use this for her hair - but just not put it directly into the bath water for her. As I did find the squeezing idea of washing her hair so simple.

Q7. I would recommend it to other people - as it is a good idea with a nice smell.

TheOldestCat · 23/01/2012 13:21

Thanks for selecting us to take part in this.

Q1. What were your first impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

First impressions - I like the idea of 'hair and body wash' as it means less fussing about with different bottles.I loved the smell as it's not too strong; can't stand over-fragranced stuff.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

'Oooh' said DD (5) when she saw it - she immediately wanted to pour lots in the bath. 'MINE' bellowed DS (23 months) but he says that about everything. Yes, it did make bathtime more fun, although that could have been the novelty.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

Very easy to use. I like the fact it doesn't lather much (we all have eczema, which SLS aggravates), but before we got used to it, I used too much. After a few goes, we've got it right. It cleaned both children well - I only used a bit (but because of their sensitive, dry eczema-pone skin, I usually just use water or a bit of Simple soap). Regular bubble bath irritates their skin, so this was a great alternative.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?

'mmmh, cabbages and flowers' said DD, adding in response to my raised eyebrows 'I love cabbage!' (she doesn't). She did say though 'this smells really nice'. I really like the fragrance as it's not too strong. It reminds me of orange lollipops. I don't think it's particularly 'zingy' but then that's a good thing (not keen on those minty shower gels and so on). We've bought the strawberry one for DD's hair, which smells lovely. I love the smell of vanilla, but it seems that all children's smellies must smell of fruit.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?

Can't think of anything. It's easy to spot on the shelves, which is a good thing.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, it cleaned the children without irritating their skin. DS's skin was a bit dry afterwards, but that's the case with all bath things, except the emollient ones.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I would. They smell lovely and seem to do the job, even on sensitive skin.

Thanks again.
