Q1. What were your first impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried? It's a nice big tube, I like the smell but would say it's a mild orangey smell rather than very zingy. Not too runny so you don't waste lots, can squeeze it directly onto the children's heads. Text speak not a winner with me - 4 ur devils - please write it in English instead. Bit of random capitalisation going on as well. Liked it more than Johnsons but that's not difficult. Have bought other organic things before but some of them still have SLS in, would rather get non organic but SLS free like this. I thought I had used it before but I have had the blue bubble bath one and the berry shampoo, not this product.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not? DD (nearly 5) was quite happy with it, it foamed up quite well. DS doesn't care TBH, he's a three year old boy would would bath in mud quite happily.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right? Foamed up better than I expected, rinsed out easily enough, washed hair at night and it was nice and silky the next morning, didn't seem dry or static-y.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use? I like fruity fragrances, things like cherry, pineapple, apple, blueberry would be nice.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how? Just the random capitals and text speak. The box isn't very clear, it says in tiny print contains no... then a panel of the detergents etc that are not in it.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes I would happily buy and use it again, as DD like to use my nice posh shower gels and this is much cheaper Grin I wouldn't make a special trip to a shop I don't usually visit for it though.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not? If they asked, yes. I already advise against another leading baby toiletries brand Wink so I would be happy to suggest people try this. My local Asda stocks at least a couple of the products and they are generally around £2 or less, which is fine by me.

Questions

Q1. What were your first impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

I've used the brand before so not a true first impression. I don't think the packaging grabs you but it is not offensive in anyway and the halos and horns/devils and angels thing doesn't bother me. I like the fact that it is gender neutral. I prefer it to other products due to the lack of SLS and Parabens.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

DS2 too young, DS1 couldn't get a straight answer, said it was pooey Blush but he says this about lots of things so don't take it personally!
I wouldn't say it made bathtime more fun, there was some novelty value as it was new but it's not a toy.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

The product was good on hair and body, didn't dry the skin as much as other products but still needed to moisturise fterwards. I didn't find the amount a problem but I have used the range before.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?

THe fragrance is virtually identical to the baby bath, certainly nothing zingy about it. The fragrance was fine just not as described. I would like a zingy orange Grin

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?

Better smell, I would make a bigger deal about the no SLS etc on the front as it is the main selling point for me.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes because it doesn't irritae their skin and is environmentally sound.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I think so but it isn't a regular topic of conversation!

MoaningMinnieWhingesAgain · 23/01/2012 21:50

Just to add - I like the tube and try to avoid pump dispensers, because my children cannot resist messing with them and they end up broken/empty/in the bath full of water. But a swivel type opening would be good, when you press one end firmly and the product comes out of the other side, like on the Aussie shampoo, is my favourite.

Sorry - the bubble bath was languishing at the post office until yesterday.

Q1. First impressions - product ticks a lot of boxes for us, no SLS, parabens etc. I suffer from sensitive skin and flare-ups of eczema so am pretty picky what I use for myself and the children.

Q2. Kids are a bit young to comment but bubbles always go down well!

Q3. Yes, easy to use and easy to get the correct amount. I tend to only use small amounts of any product. It rinsed easily after hair washing. A pump dispenser would be an improvement so you could dispense a measured amount.

Q4. Struggled to "get" the fragrance due to a rotten stinking cold, but DP assures me it smells fine Hmm

Q5. Can't think of anything tbh.

Q6. Yes I would buy it again, since it contains no SLS. Finding products at this price point with natural foaming agents seems to be quite difficult.

Q7. Yes I would certainly recommend for anyone concerned about sensitive skin and eczema.

Flyingoutofcontrol · 24/01/2012 11:55

Here's my (slightly belated!) feedback on the product. We've used it in both the bath and the shower due to a plumbing issue over the weekend.

Q1. What were your first impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?
Good overall impression of the product. Nice size to hold, very easy to squeeze and use, but I'd prefer if there was a more "child-proof" cap as DS grabbed it and tried to eat the tube resulting in a funny face and a slightly foamy mouth! Would also prefer a bottle with a rocker top as the seal at the top is quite sharp and DS managed to scratch his leg with it. It's similar quality to other "premium" baby products used, but much better than Johnsons for DS's skin - much less after bath moisturiser; probably works out cheaper based on the amount you need to use.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?
DS loved the packaging and poked it repeatedly and appeared to like the smell and foam while he was being washed. He really wanted to play with it (think it's the bright colours) but (due to the scratchy packaging) he wasn't allowed to do so.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?
Very easy to use and did a good job cleaning DS - also very eay to rinse out of hair and caused no squinty eyes when the rinse went into them - a definite bonus. First time out I did use a bit too much, but this would happen with any product; after that it was a doddle.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?
Loved the fragrance as did DS & DH (I found DH using it the other day!). I'd like a more "relaxing" fragrance as DS usually has his bath at the end of the day so a lavender frangrance would be good. Would also like maybe an aloe vera option or a mint option.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?
As above, the only issues we had were the ease of opening for DS (foamy mouth) and the sharpness of the corners - while we do try not to let DS "play" with bottles, it's not always possible. Based on the type of product a screw cap is not really viable, but a stiff rocker top on a bottle would be brilliant (and a smaller travel version would also be a hit I suspect).

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?
Would definitely use this again - DS's skin is much improved and the price is reasonable based on how little you actually need.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?
Would definitely recommend (and have!) to friends especially as it seems that it doesn't dry skin out as much as other products. I've also noticed (now I know what it is) that it's widely available in supermarkets so they wouldn't have to hunt for it as with some other moisturising bath products.

Hope this helps!

Shanastar · 24/01/2012 12:37

Q1. What were your first impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

First impressions were good, was diffent in that it was in a tube rather than a bottle - I liked this and found it easier to manage.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

DD is one - think she liked the packaging too as she managed to have nice play with it rather than a bottle which she can't quite manage to get her little hands around :)

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

Product performed v.well, didnt need to use much at all - at first I think I used too much as it took a while to wash out of DD's hair.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?
Really like the fragrance, perhaps another fruity one like strawberry would work well or stick with the fresh theme but have a flower fragrance like daisy and maybe a more "relaxing" flavour for bedtime - lavender etc.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?
No all was fine.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?
I'm not sure - it would depend on how competitively it is priced - wouldn'tbe willing to spend more than what I spend on johnsons for example.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes it's fresh and a bit different - partucularly for older DC's managing themselves in the shower and things is very easy to use.

Baconsarnie · 24/01/2012 15:17

Q1. Liked the look of the bottle, and DS (3) loved it as it's orange, his favourite colour. Like the fact it's not twee/babyish, and is gender-neutral. The only other product I know is Sanex for Kids and it looks `cooler' than that.

Q2. Definitely made bathtime more fun, or rather, made it easier to get DS into the bath by promising him his new `big boy' bubble bath. Have struggled to know what to buy now that DS is past the baby stage, so still usually buy baby bath.

Q3. Think I used too much of it at first - there's hardly any left now and we haven't used it every night. It cleaned him well, but I was expecting mor bubbles. Which may be a bit unreasonable as it doesn't say bubble bath on it.

Q4. Liked the fragrance, as did DS (he insisted on having a blob on the end of his nose each night) but didn't think it was that orangey, more almond! Off the top of my head, would like a cotton fresh version! Or is that just for scented candles??

Q5. Perhaps a pump action bottle, so it's easier to dispense?

Q6. Definitely, depending on price.

Q7. Would definitely recommend.

costumequeen · 24/01/2012 17:07

Q1.
Good size bottle and I much prefer a squeezy bottle so you can all of the product out. Secure cap so my daughter could play with it in the bath. The label didn't seem particularly aimed at younger children though - if I saw it on the shelf I would assume it was for older kids.

Q2.
She's only 12 months, but seemed to enjoy playing with the bottle!

Q3.
When run under water it didn't seem to foam up an awful lot and there was always a blob of it at the bottom of the bath unless I specifically swirled it around. On the sponge and on the hair it foamed up nicely though, and certainly did the job - on the hair especially, and eft it nice and silky too!

Q4.
I'm not sure I'd describe it as zingy - it was more of a sweet orange (reminded me of orange ice lollies!) and it didn't smell particularly strong either. That said, I could really smell the fragrance on my daughter - her hair still smelt lovely and orangey the following day! I think a fresh minty smell, or a vanilla is always nice on little ones too.

Q5.
Apart from it not foaming up massively in the bath (which wasn't a problem for us, but I know some kids like to play with the bubbles) and perhaps giving it a 'zingier' smell to match the description, the only thing I would change would be the label to look a little softer, as it seems a little grown up for toddlers.

Q6.
Yes if it was on offer, but not sure I'd pay nearly £3 for a bottle in my regular shop. I'd definitely keep my eye out for other products by the same brand though.

Q7.
Yes I would probably say I liked it, although I'm not sure I would rave about it over other products, iyswim!

Dylthan · 24/01/2012 19:55

Q1. What were your first impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried? I liked the look of the bottle when ds (age 5) first saw it he asked if it was to stop him burning he thought it was sun cream and at first glance the colouring of the product and the fact it is in a tube does make it look a little like sun cream.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not? ds (5) was excited to try it but dd (18months) hates bathtime and no amount of nice new soap will probably make any difference.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right? I have finally got the hang of the right amount to use. At first I was using too little to wash their hair and I thought I would come on here and say that I liked it fine as a body wash but not as a shampoo however it left their hair so soft and shiney that I have persevered and now I love it just much for washing their hair as I do for washing their bodies.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use? the fragrance is great but like other posters have said I think calling it zingy is mis leading it is certainly not zingy.

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how? no I like the product as it is.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not? yes I do think I will use it again I love the smell and it leaves the children wonderfully clean dd gets all manner of food stuff in her hair throughout the day and it washes it all out really well her hair is also fairly easy to brush afterwards as it leaves it so soft.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not? yes I would for all the reasons I have mentioned above.

CharlieN79 · 24/01/2012 21:24

Q1 liked the packaging and the logo, good size and shape

Q2 dd only 2 so not interested in packaging, other than trying to squeeze it!

Q3 product cleaned well as a body wash but didn't really like it as a shampoo, didn't feel it washed as well as the regular shampoo I use. I do prefer more bubbles but appreciate that this lacks them with good reson

Q4 I thought the fragrance was too faint and not zingy at all

Q5 I think te product would work better in a pump dispenser

Q6 I don't think I would use it again as a shampoo and I prefer a bubble bath to body wash. Would be useful for holidays.

Q7 I probably wouldn't recommend the product as i think there are better products on the market, especially forthe price

addictediam · 24/01/2012 21:35

Q1. What were your first impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried? i quite liked the product, didnt have a very strong smell to it which is good.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not? dd (1yo) really likes bubbles and in the bath, and she was alittle confused about the lack of them :o

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right? it worked, it cleaned dd and made her smell nice. very easy to use as its in a squeezy bottle

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use? the fragrance was quite weak, but still made dd smell nice, which i liked as i wouldnt want too much perfume in the product. however i wouldnt particularly describe it as zingy, just orangey

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how? the packaging is quite plain and boring, i'm not sure i would pick it out on the supermarket shelf.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not? if the price wass right then yes i probably would. although i ended up using alot as dd wanted bubbles so have gone through it much quicker than my usual brand.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not? i would probably recommend it to someone who was struggling with a child with dry skin or excema if it came up in conversation. i doubt i would ever start a conversation about it tho!

addictediam · 24/01/2012 21:37

having just spotted the price, i would say, to question 6 probably not. i pay half that price for a much bigger bottle.

8rubberduckies · 24/01/2012 21:39

Q1. What were your first impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

I have used other products in the range before so not a true first impression, but I like the packaging - a lot more fun than other Organic / Eco-friendly / paraben free children's products.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

Its not a toy at the end of the day, so it didn't make bathtime more fun, but my son loves squeezing out his own bodywash, so he enjoyed using it.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

Performed well - I like the fact that it is a body wash, shampoo and bubble bath all in one.

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?

Mild, but maybe a little sweet? I think a lemon / lime one would work too, or chocolate? (I only say this because our toddler is always stealing my partner's chocolate shower gel)

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?

Its pretty thick and gloopy, I would like it a bit thinner

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, because I know the range, so I know they are not expensive, and it is difficult to find SLS/paraben free in this price range.

LifeOfKate · 24/01/2012 22:00

Sorry it's taken me so long to do this!

Q1. What were your first impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?

DH was quite suprised at how much the bottle reminded him of the innocent smoothies... he reckons the halo symbol looks very much like their logo. I found the packaging a bit busy, the information wasn't easy to read in a hurry. We also didn't like the style of bottle, 2 yo DS whipped it straight off the side of the bath, got the lid open and squeezed a load in the bath before we could stop him. He can't do that with more 'traditional' packaging.

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?

DS didn't really have any reaction at all, he's not very interested in bath products, I suppose he's too young really. Also not sure how body wash/shampoo would make bath time more fun Confused

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?

It was funny, DH and I had differing opinions on the performance. I know that this is due to the lack of sls, but I didn't like that you couldn't really make a 'proper' lather with it. DH, on the other hand, loved this aspect as it meant there weren't a tonne of bubbles hanging around in the bath after the water had gone down!

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?

I wasn't very keen on the fragrance. I used it on DD 5mo as well and kept catching a whiff of it as the day went on and having to check to see if she'd pooed Confused She has very sweet smelling poos obviously!
DH said that strawberry would be nice and DS said melon when we asked him what smell he would like!

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?

We didn't like the packaging and the ease at which it could be opened by a child.

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?

I don't think we would buy this, it is about the same price as a much larger bottle of what we normally use, but we need to use a lot more of this, so we can't really justify the price. Obviously we will use the rest of the tube though, although I don't like the fragrance very much.

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?

If they were looking for something with no 'nasties' and weren't worried about value for money, I would recommend it :)

Sl1nkyMalinki · 24/01/2012 22:04

We've loved this trial! Thanks for picking us :)

Q1 Like the bottle and the graphics, although could do without the pink and blue please. My DS is far more angelic than DD! Also like the fact there's no nasty chemicals involved. We normally use Johnsons Bedtime Bath because I love the smell of it. Less bubbles with the zingy orange but it felt nicer in the water. If that makes any sense at all! I like an all in one product as there are too many bottles in the bathroom as it is.

Q2. DD (5.9) liked the bright orange cap and the graphics. She was really pleased that it was a product designed for her, but not babyish! DS (19 mo) is just happy to have bubbles! We don't use bubbles every night due to their dry skin and eczema on DD. Bathtime with bubbles is always fun and I found that this didn't dry their skin out at all, they both came out with lovely silky skin where previously there were dry patches that would need treating. Clearly, eczema always needs treating but I found that the HnH didn't exacerbate it at all. Both DC were really impressed that it was orange!

Q3. Both kids sparkly clean. Very easy to use and found just one squeeze of the bottle under running water was enough so no messing about. It didn't disperse in the water though,so I had to give it a good swoosh about. However I appreciate that it would have to be thicker to use as a body wash/shower gel compared to a bubble bath. I haven't washed their hair in it yet but intend to and will pop back and add more feedback.

Q4. In all honesty I was a little disappointed with the fragrance. I really thought it would be more like the Body Shop satsuma smell which everyone in this house loves and I have to hide if I'm going to get to use it! It just wasn't orangey enough for me, sorry. I'd love a lavender smell for bedtime, and maybe something minty would be nice in hot weather :)

Q5. The fragrance please. Would love it to be a bit more orangey (although not at the expense of the general loveliness of the product). The packaging is great although a pump bottle would be even better.

Q6. Yes I would. Bubbles which don't dry their skin out - yes please! I've never used Halos n Horns before and I'm a definite convert :)

Q7. Yes I would recommend it. Mostly because my friends are product-tarts like myself and we all love something pampering, even if it's for the children! But also because it does exactly what you want it to do (make the DC's happy and clean) with the added bonus of not drying their skin so it can be used every night.

WelshMoth · 25/01/2012 05:17

Q1. Nice sized tube, good soft packaging instead of the hard plastic casing that you get with some bath products. Never keen on text-speak/spelling though.

Q2. Both DC liked the smell (6yrs and 3yrs) and it's orange colour.

Q3. Cleaned well. I always use a sponge or body-puff to get maximum lather and bubbles. I didn't seem to get the same consistency of bubbles using just my hands, but I'm happy to accept that considering the lack of parabens and foaming agents. A 10p sized dollop went quite a long way on a body puff, too. Hair washing was a success too, foamed well, rinsed well and left her shiny and clean with a long lasting fragrance.

Q4. I really liked the fragrance - wouldn't have said it was particularly 'zingy' though. I love 'baby' fragrances though in general. More definite citrus smells (lime, lemon) as well as a more obvious orange would be lovely. Berries, vanilla would be nice?

Q5. Get rid of the text speak/spelling. DD is 6 and reading at every opportunity so when she grabbed this in the bath, she was confused! Perhaps a larger bottle with pump for those who need to hang onto their littler one's whilst bathing?

Q6. Yes, I'd use it again. Cleans well, leaves a lovely fragrance and is still very gentle. Have bought from this range before especially when on special offer. Price a major consideration.

Q7. Yes, would probably recommend, for all the above reasons.

Thanks for sending me a bottle to try.

  1. good first impressions. nice packaging, lovely smell. Looks fresh and 'healthy' for young skins. Slightly thicker consistency than other products I've used, which I liked as its a bit tricky dealing with water, slippery child and runny washing stuff!
  1. DD liked it. Liked the smell, was interested in the tube. Didn't make bathtime more fun, as it wasn't a very bubbly product.
  1. Product performed well, although i struggle with products that don't lather - I've been indoctrinated with 'more lather = better cleaning". I know this is not true, but its something i've been brought up on!
  1. Loved the fragrance. Not zingy, but really fresh and pleasant. What about a tee tree product? Slightly antiseptic for bumps and grazes?
  1. I agree that a pump action dispenser would be great.
  1. I'd possibly use it again, although it is quite pricy.
  1. yes, I'd recommend although not to those with sensitive skins. For some reason, my DD who has slightly sensitive skins reacted a little to the product and was a bit rashy for a few hours after her bath.

Q1. Quite indifferent to it really; can't say it excited me but nor did I dislike it.

Q2. My 2 year old doesn't take any notice whatsoever of what he's being washed with; he loves bathtime not matter what!

Q3. I found the cap a bit dribbly on mine so felt like I was wasting some; found I needed a lot to feel as if I was cleaning him properly but I know that's probably due to the lack of foaming agents.

Q4. I liked the fragrance, it made a nice change to lavender which I can't stand!!

Q5. Didn't like the packaging for reasons stated above and the fact my toddler would be able to flip it open and use it himself, I prefer something that's more childproof especially if I'm paying a premium as I wouldn't want any wasted.

Q6. Yes because it's a bit cheaper than other comparitive products.

Q7. Yes I would because it is good value for money, but if someone wasn't bothered about cost there are things I'd recommend above it.

Q1. What were your first impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried? Liked the packaging = bright and the children seemed excited to use it. More 'exciting' looking than other types we've tried. Nothing I didn't like, except flip-tops can be hard to open one-handed (as seems to always be the case when bathing toddlers!)

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not? The children enjoyed pouring some into their hands and washing their bodies/each others hair, but they were pretty wasteful so I had to take it away from them towards the end

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right? The product cleaned the children well, very easy to use, used a smallish quirt and this was easily enough for both bodies + another squirt for hair

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use? Really liked the fragrance, reminded me of Refreshers sweets! The children liked it too. I like fruity-flavoured things so would definitely try a cherry/berry/melon/banana version

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how? As I mentioned before, flip-tops can be a bit awkward to open one-handed. I really like the squeezy hole-type of dispenser that Original Source use, as do Aussie with their 3 Minute Miracle conditioner

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, would definitely buy this again. More so if it was on special offer

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes, I would. It didn't aggravate my daughter's cradle cap and was a nice alternative to the boring old Johnson's baby wash we normally use

  1. I liked the packaging and fragrance, the design is fun and appealing to children. It has a subtle orange smell, I do have a bit of a cold at the minute.
  1. They liked the look of the bottle, although dd2 was more interested in the "snowy" packaging it was wrapped in! It was more fun because it was something new to try.
  1. Yes, it cleaned them well, was easy to use and only needed a small amount so it would last a long time.
  1. The fragrance was pleasant but would prefer it to be a bit stronger, as you might expect from a "zingy" orange smell. I would love Halos and Horns to do one with a lavender fragrance, if they don't already. We all love the smell of lavender and it might help them get to sleep. We usually do bath time just before bed.
  1. A pump dispenser would be easier to use.
  1. Possibly, depending on the price. I did find a little went a long way.I loved the naturalness of the product as it is more gentle on skin, especially for my child who has mild eczema. But I would prefer something with a different fragrance, such as lavender.
  1. Yes, I would recommend it as we all liked using it and it has more natural ingredients.

Q1. It looked like a generous sized product and the colour scheme was quite fresh. However DP mentioned it looked a little like suntan cream.

Q2. DS is only 12 months so didn't have much of an opinion Wink however it didn't hurt his eyes at all. He enjoyed knocking it into the bath though.

Q3. The product cleaned well but I found it a pain to have to screw the end back on every time I wanted to stand it on the side after using it (during the bathtime). I agree that a pump would be good. I think I managed to use the right amount.

Q4. I liked the fragrance, but it definitely didn't live up to the 'zingy' name. I think it's more sherberty, like an orange sweet! It didn't seem to linger in DS's hair the next morning either which was a shame. I'd like a lavender fragrance and would buy it as a bedtime bath product.

Q5. Just the pump dispenser.

Q6. Yes, I liked the 'free from' aspect to use on DS's young skin and would buy this again.

Q7. I would mention the product if such a conversation came up.

Q1. What were your first impressions of the product? What did you like? Was there anything you didn't like? How did it compare with other products you've tried?
liked the packaging, looks fresh and clean, like the smell

Q2. How about your DC - was there anything they liked or disliked about the product (if they're not old enough to tell you what they thought, then your interpretation of their opinion is fine!)? Would you say it made bath time more fun at all? If so, why? If not, why not?
they liked the smell and the colour but my ds 6yo thought it smelt the same as the other detangler and shampoo from halo and horns that we have that is berry burst and he was right, they do smell similar.

Q3. Overall, how did the product perform? Did it clean your child well? Was it easy to use or not? Did you find you used about the right amount to start with or did it take a few goes to get this right?
performed well and children felt and smelt clean after use. You need a little more than 'other' products as this one doesnt foam up the same but once you know that you can use accordingly which we knew as we have used H & H before

Q4. What did you think of the fragrance? Can you think of any other fragrances that you'd like Halos N Horns to use?
liked the fragrance but was not particularly orangey, like all the fruity and fresh smells

Q5. Is there anything about the product and/or its packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what and how?
cant think of anything, i liked it how it was

Q6. Do you think you'd use this product again? If so, why? If not, why not?
yes we would use it again as i like the fact that H&H dont have 'nasties' and i like the way this particular one does bath, hair and body, and it did them all well. It is so much easier especially if going away

Q7. If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Halos N Horns Zingy Orange Hair & Body Wash to your friends who have children? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes i would recommend, it does everything it says it does and is so much better for my children than having chemicals

Thanks for the chance to try it!

  • First impressions were good, packaging slightly different to the usual pastel colours. DD (4) liked the angel reference and the halo - not so keen on the horns part!
  • DD was excited to use the product and liked the smell. She liked the novelty factor of using something new and she was able to squeeze the product out of the tube herself *Overall the product performed well, the smell was pleasant and it was effective in cleaning both DD and DS without drying their skin. It was fine as a shampoo for DS (1) but I didn't like it as a shampoo for DD. I found it left her hair more tangled than her usual shampoo and her hair felt a little dry. I used fairly small amounts and this seemed to be about right. *DD likes the smell. I think it smells pleasant but not particularly orange-y.I think this is a tricky one as if it smelled too strongly of orange, it would possibly have an 'artificial' frangrance rather than a natural one, however, maybe there is a middle ground! I like floral fragrances, for example rose - and so does DD but as I bath both children together at the moment I would probably stick to fruity or herbal fragrances - other suggestions - lemon or apple.
  • If I were to use this regularly, I think I would prefer a larger bottle with a pump action. *Would possibly use again but wouldn't rush to change from the products I currently use
  • Would recommend if it came up in conversation.
