Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Looked interesting, nice colours on packet. Tasted nice - was apprehensive as looked liked Ryvita minis a bit, and they're horrible and dry - but these were really tasty and unlike crisps 1 bag was enough for me!.

Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were? healthier crisps, wholegrain, natural colours and no preservatives, low fat.

Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range? I hated the cheese, but the kids loved them - then again I hate Quavers! My favourite was the simple salted, DS1 loved the sour cream

Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it? Flavour

Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not, why not? Definitely. Going to look at buying some in the supermarket too, the boys really enjoyed them.

Coca · 05/09/2011 19:57

Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not? I did enjoy the, I was pleasantly suprised as "healthy" alternatives are normally pretty rank

Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were? They are like doritos without the grease

Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range? Sour cream. I'd like a bacon flavour (although it would probably be called "pancetta" to fit in with the image!

Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it? They appear to be aimed at women with the pastel colours and healthy snack message...unlike most things aimed at the same market they actually taste nice.

Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not, why not? If I was having a particularly dull conversation, yes. Grin

WhipMeIndiana · 05/09/2011 19:57

last pack, so my final comments - was sour cream flavour,
really not my favourite. strongest flavour of them all. smelled nice, quite peppery then were very tangy, but not for me.
I would rank the flavours as follows
best- onion > chilli > cheddar > salt > sour cream- weakest

thankyou for the crisps!

Mumleigh · 05/09/2011 20:03

Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

I really like them. I am a crisp addict and these are a great alternative. I found them more filling than a normal packet of crisps too.I liked the flavours.

Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were?

A bit like tortilla chips but whole grain so a bit healthier and yet really tasty and filling too.

Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range?

Cheddar and caramelised onion

Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it?

More filling and substantial than regular crisps - I think it's the whole grain.

Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I would recommend - particularly for kids lunchboxes

Instinctivemum · 05/09/2011 20:06

Mine have not arrived yet...Sad

Fillybuster · 05/09/2011 20:08

Enjoying them lots so far...will hold off with feedback until we've eaten some more :)

EsioTrot · 05/09/2011 20:10

Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

I thought the product looked good. The packaging was appealing and gave the impression that they are a healthier snack than crisps. I really enjoyed eating them. The texture was great, nice and crunchy and the flavours were really tasty.

Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were?

Crunchy, wholegrain snack. A little like a tortilla chip in texture.

Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range?

I like the cheddar flavour the best. I'm another one who'd love to see a salt and vinegar type flavour.

Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it?

Interesting flavours and crunchy non-greasy texture.

Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not why not?

I definitely would. I think they're yummy and like he fact that they are healthier than crisps, I was happier to let the DC's have them as a treat than I am with crisps. I'll definitely buy these instead of crisps from now on.

ilovesprouts · 05/09/2011 20:10

Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

Overall I was impressed, I didn't think they'd be very tasty, but they were. Nice packaging too.

Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were?

Healthy alternative to crisps, or least, normal crisps. Very crunchy.

Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range?

I liked the sour cream ones best. But the salted ones gawjuss I wouldn't eat them by themselves. The chilli flavour needs more chilli. The kids liked the cheese and onion best.

Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it?

They're wholewheat.

Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would, because they're tasty. It would be nice if there were more in a packet though! It's easy to be low in calories when tree aren't that many of them!

Bedat10 · 05/09/2011 20:14

Thanks for the sunbites! Heres my feedback:
Q1. Overall impression, enjoyed eating them, liked having a healthier alternative to crisps
Q2. Describe to a friend as like tortilla chips but healthier and more of a range of flavours. Would be nice with a dip
Q3. Favourite flavour - chilli. But we did a blind taste test on them and found it v difficult to tell the difference between them! Chilli was the only one that stood out
Q4. Seem to be healthier, less greasy than crisps
Q5. Yes would recommend, but agree with a previous poster that there are too few in each pack - feels like they are only lower calorie because there are so few per pack!
Thanks

DurhamDurham · 05/09/2011 20:20

Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
The packaging is great, the crisps look awful but tasted very nice. I enjoyed all the flavours, I like strong tastes and these all had plenty of tast

Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were?
They look like cardboard but don't be put off because they actually taste very nice!

Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range?
I liked all the flavours equally. We love crisps in our house and we would buy them all again

Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it?
They are marketed as being healthier than some other snakcs. They don't compromise on tast, just on looks!

Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend the snakcs, I don't think I would 'rave' about them nut would say they were nive, tasty and apparently healthier than other options on the market

debka · 05/09/2011 20:29

Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
I thought the packets looked nice, crisps looked unappetising but we all enjoyed eating them They were crunchy and tasty and full of flavour.

Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were?
They are like more healthy and more interesting doritos.

Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range?
We enjoyed them all, although the salt were the least interesting.

Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it?
Really tasted good with a nice crunchy texture.

Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would, we enjoyed them.

LaVitaBellissima · 05/09/2011 20:29

Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
I liked both how they looked and tasted, although I would of prefered a bigger portion, they just disappeared in seconds Smile

Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were?
Wholegrain, healthier crisp substite but nice and crunchy

Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range?

I liked the onion and rosemary, probably would of liked the sweet chilli but DP ate them all when I wasn't looking. My favourite flavour crisps are the Lemon and chilli ones by Burts, it's an unusual combination but tastes great

Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it?

How thin they are & the crunchy texture, in my student days we always used to make pasta bake and put crisps on top, sunbites would be a good addition

Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes I like them Smile

devilsadvocaat · 05/09/2011 20:30

My overall impression is a light healthier option to crisps.

I would say they're whole grain thin crisps and that they come in some nice flavours.

Chilli was my favourite, could be more spicy tho.

The fact that they're whole grain makes them different.

I wouldn't out of the blue recommend them to anyone else but if someone asked me I would say they're nice if someone asked.

TimeForLunch · 05/09/2011 20:33

They were good. I have been working my way through all the flavours and would say my favourite is the sour cream or black pepper ones. The lightly salted were my least favourite as I found them a little bland. I ate them all as a snack at work (spread over several days, of course). I often eat crisps but these are healthier so a much better but still satisfying option. I suppose I would describe them as healthy(ish) crisps. I would be happy for DCs to eat them occasionally too (although they didn't get a look in on this batch!). Thanks for the freebie, I thoroughly enjoyed my part in the research!

devilsadvocaat · 05/09/2011 20:33

Oh and I would like to see Salt and Vinegar flavour.

Gemd81 · 05/09/2011 20:35

I love the sweet chilli flavour the best second plain flavour. I think a chicken flavour would work well in this range.
What I like about sunbites is they are low fat and have a good flavour and they taste salty but are not it is just the flavour and I like the fat that they are whole grain.
My only complaint is that my local tesco only stocks rosemary flavourSad

Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
We did enjoy eating them. One question though are wholegrains really heavy? These packs were 25g which is the same as a regular Walkers pack yet these didn?t seem to go as far or fill me up as much. Was also quite surprised to see the Nutritional Values didn?t vary as much as expected , energy and fat which saturates hardy differed.
Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were?
Light and crispy snack with a wholegrain taste
Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range?
Sweet Chilli ? very tasty but have to say the Lightly Sea Salted ? too lightly salted, virtually no flavour
Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it?
Less greasy than most crispy snacks
Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes definitely, they were tasty and you can be less guilt ridden when eating them

missorinoco · 05/09/2011 21:17

I've tried 3/5 flavours - lightly salted, cheese and onion and sour cream; sweet chilli and rosemary and onion to go. Shall post now because if I think about it and don't I will forget later.

Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Very impressed - I don't usually like this style of crisps, I find they lack the substance and the flavour and just taste worthy but these were light and tasty.

Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were?
Wholewheat crisps but so much nicer than other versions

Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range?
Cheese and onion, so far
Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it?
They are edible c.f other wholewheat crisps
Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes, I would recommend these to friends and ould probably bring it up in conversation at a picnic/occasion where we were earting crisps.

Nippysweetie01 · 05/09/2011 21:34

I loved them, what a great idea, low in calories, and all the other bad stuff. I loved the different texture, nice for a change. Flavours weren't too strong, just right, with exception of the Sweet Chilli which could have slightly more flavour the spicyness was about right though.

A cross between tortillas and McCoys, but wholegrain and tasty.

Sweet Chilli and Sea Salt were my favourites. Although the sea salt could maybe have some vinegar. Perhaps tomato would be a good one to have as well.

The one feature that makes them different I suppose is the wholegrain. Makes them seem healthier.

I wouldn't have a problem recommending them, always try new things and you might be surprised!

NotShortImFunSized · 05/09/2011 21:46

Mine not here yet and I'd quite happily munch them all right now!

turnipvontrapp · 05/09/2011 21:47
  1. They were just ok, would possibly buy them but would depend on what else was on offer.
  2. crinkly frazzle shaped.
  3. I liked the cheese ones best.
  4. Yes would say to try them.

Thanks for sending them!

MrsKitty · 05/09/2011 21:49

Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

Tasty, a bit more 'wholesome' than crisps.

Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were?

Like crisps, but crunchier & more textured

Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range?

Favourite was cheese flavour (which was unexpected!). Really cheesy and by far my favourite. Hated the onion & rosemary - rosemary too overpowering and no taste of onion at all.

Flavours I might like to see: Madras/Curry, Spicy tomato, Blue Cheese, Prawn Cocktail

Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it?

Wholegrain. Makes them seem healthier than other snacks (although checking out the label they're probably not that much healthier - agree with a previous poster that the sugar content seems rather unnecessary.

Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, probably. Something a bit different, and would be great with or without dips. I think the flavours currently available would appeal mostly to adults.

Wiifitmama · 05/09/2011 22:03

Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

I only tasted them as I am dieting. My kids ate them mostly. The packaging was fine, but nothing special. They tasted nice.

Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were?

A slightly healthier version if crisps. But the reality is that they are still crisps so not something that should be prt of your regular diet.

Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range?

The kids liked the sweet chilli flavour surprisingly. They we not so keen on the plain salted.

Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it?

Not really. I am just not convinced they are healthier.

Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend them based on flavour rather thn health.

grubbalo · 05/09/2011 22:12

Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

The packaging is lovely, however unfortunately none of us (me, DH, DS1 (4), DS2 (2) thought they tasted good. They were extremely artificial tasting and very sweet - the cheese and onion ones in particular were vile (sorry)

Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were?

Healthy crisps

Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range?

At a push, the sour cream ones were ok compared to the others

Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it?

Not really

Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not, why not?

Sorry but no - they were horribly artificial tasting and I'd rather just buy proper crisps, full fat or not
