Q1 What was your overall impression of the product? Did you enjoy eating them or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
A1: Yes, DS9, FD5, FD3, DF60+, DSM60+ and I enjoyed them. The flavours were nice without being too over powerful. I expected them to have a texture similar to Doritos but was pleasantly surprised to find them to be more like crisps ? though the lightly sea salted version tasted very much like Doritos. DS, DSM and DF did not like these
Q2 How would you describe Sunbites to a friend who didn't know what they were?
A2: A little like crisps but with a slightly lower fat content, but when you consider 30% less of a lot of fat in regular Walkers crisps (33%) to start with, they could never be considered to be low fat or a healthier alternative snack -they are still over 20% fat. Then, when you factor in the almost 300% extra sugar than standard crisps and around the same amount of salt in both the gap narrows even further.
Q3 Which flavour did you like the most? Are there any other flavours you'd like to see in the range?
A3: I preferred the Sweet Chilli and Onion and Rosemary flavours the best. All 3 children liked the Cheddar ones the best. Dad and Step mum liked the sour cream best with the cheddar coming in a close second. None of us were too keen on the Sea Salt ? too bland.
Q4 Thinking about Sunbites in comparison to other snacks, can you think of one feature which makes Sunbites different? If so, what is it?
A4: They are nice and crunchy, but I prefer standard crisps or Doritos to be honest.
Q5 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Sunbites to your friends? If so, why? If not, why not?
A5: Not sure. I dislike the inference that they are somehow healthier for you than crisps when they are not.
Thanks for letting me try them though.
