We have another exciting product test for you - we are looking for 40 Mumsnetters who don't already have a Wii at home but would like to take part in "My First Wii Challenge" with Nintendo.

Nintendo say they "are keen to offer Wiis to 40 MN families to encourage them to spend fun time together as a family as well as give them the opportunity to test out some great games". If you already have a Wii, please look out for the feedback thread for this project as Nintendo would like to hear your views too (in exchange for a prize draw Grin).

If you are selected for the test you'll be sent a Wii console, handsets and nunchucks for all the family plus the following games:

uDraw GameTablet with uDraw Studio
Mario Kart
Kirby's Epic Yarn, and
Just Dance Jnrs

We'd then like you to take part in 4 weekly challenges with the Wii. This will involve playing with one game per week and adding your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet.

The challenge will start week commencing 4 July and last for 4 weeks - so please only apply if you are able to add feedback every week in July.

Ideally we're looking for MNers in the UK with at least 2 children.

After the challenge is completed and you have added at least 4 lots of feedback you will be able to keep the console and games for your family to enjoy.

In addition, we will need 10 of the families selected to film themselves and their family playing with the Wii. These videos will be used on the Nintendo pages on Mumsnet in the autumn and possibly elsewhere (they will be hosted on YouTube). If you are willing to undertake the video element please indicate this on the form link below. You will be supplied with a FlipCam (which will need to be returned). You will be briefed on filming requirements but it shouldn't be too onerous.

To sign up please add your details here

Good luck and many thanks

Postman came.

He knocked.

He gave me my contact lenses :(

am now jealous of other people here Grin

IShallWearMidnight · 27/07/2011 14:47

Lawrie, you can join me on the doorstep as we scan the streets for misdirected parcels from Nintendo. I even went and did the washing up earlier (that worked for the original parcel Wink).

LawrieMarlow · 27/07/2011 14:52

I thoroughly cleaned the fridge before. That didn't work .

Maybe more housework is needed....

HumperdinkFangboner · 27/07/2011 15:02

Ours will come tomorrow when I take DD for her preschool boosters at the docs!!

ProfYaffle · 27/07/2011 15:13

Just Dance Jnrs and 2 controllers! Now this is how imagined the test would be! 4yo dd2 very cute doing the dances Smile

GypsyMoth · 27/07/2011 15:18

2 controllers prof? 2 red ones in the box?

Jaquelinehyde · 27/07/2011 15:39

Hurrah! I too have recieved the extra red controller, the play game and the dance juniors game! How exciting.

Now I need to make the DC's understand the process of winner stays on as there are 5 of us and 2 controllers. It will be a good lesson learnt for them.

Thanks Nintendo and AnnMumsnet Grin

GypsyMoth · 27/07/2011 15:50

WARNING

just dance juniors contains Justin Bieber!!
and 'old mcdonald had a farm'

Grin at 8 yr old ds dancing his heart out!

ProfYaffle · 27/07/2011 15:57

Not 2 red controllers, we have the original black one plus a white one borrowed from bil. I'm not touching the newly arrived red one til dh gets in, the white one won't sync to our wii properly for some reason, if I stuff up the red one in a similar manner he will be cross.

GypsyMoth · 27/07/2011 15:59

lol.

well i can say just dance jrs was WELL worth the wait!

Triggles · 27/07/2011 16:56

DS2 likes the dance game, even if he is just watching them dance at the moment. LOL

5inthebed · 27/07/2011 19:06

:( Ours didn;t come, hopefully tomorrow then.

Now I have a question. Our sensor seems to be playing up, keeps losing the signal from both the black controller and the borrowed white one. Ann? Can I get a new sensor off Nintendo?

NonnoMum · 27/07/2011 19:09

thank you for the nice box with a red thingy in it.
and the dancey game thingy.

Now, WHERE do I have to file my reports? (Still worried about the Nintendo Police coming round as I don't think I've done my homework yet?)

Bohica · 27/07/2011 19:15
Sad
LawrieMarlow · 27/07/2011 19:26

Am a little Envy of those with more controller and games. Hopefully my day will come. Preferably tomorrow.

IHeartKingThistle · 27/07/2011 19:28

I'm on the doorstep too...

Tried SpongeBob last night and a) hated it and b) couldn't stop playing it. It'll be WAY too quick for DC but I'm going to get past Level 3 when they're in bed if it takes all night!

Oh and I have an AIBU - AIBU to let DS who is barely 2 play Speed Slice Swordplay on Sports Resort? He loves it, it's one of the few games he can do on his own and it IS only slicing fruit, right? He's not going to turn into a machete-wielding maniac?

Can't wait to see them on Dance Jrs!

Bohica · 27/07/2011 20:34

YANBU - let him slice away.

AIBU to lead DD3 (3yrs) to believe she is driving the mariotkart & doing a very good job using only the numchuck whilst mummy plays mariokart

I'm at work for the rest of the week so fingers crossed it's our nice postie who leaves parcels in the garage & double fingers crossed the new travellers we have aquired on the back field don't come snooping.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 27/07/2011 20:45

Nothing extra here yet - fingers crossed that postie will be sensible and leave it under the trailer or with our neighbours rather than taking it back to the depot (50/50 chance!)

Really excted about getting the Just Dance Junior game - think both of ours will love that.

I also have an axe wielding 3 year old - the chopping is his favourite by far!

IHeartKingThistle · 27/07/2011 21:55

It's my favourite too Blush

Bohica that is evil genius!

LawrieMarlow · 27/07/2011 22:11

I like chopping things too Grin

Belo · 28/07/2011 09:08

Ha ha Bohica.

I had a red card from the postman when I got home from work last night. Won't be able to get to the post-office to collect until Saturday. I'm assuming the parcel is from Nintendo and that it will be a fab way to start the w/e!

HumperdinkFangboner · 28/07/2011 11:39

Still haven't received anything!

IShallWearMidnight · 28/07/2011 12:40

nothing here either Sad.

LawrieMarlow · 28/07/2011 12:43

Nothing here either. But no post yet so still have Hope.

ruddynorah · 28/07/2011 12:46

Nothing here. And no feedback thread email. So I might just post on here seeings and everyone else is. Done some good filming anyway even if thread never emerges...
