We have another exciting product test for you - we are looking for 40 Mumsnetters who don't already have a Wii at home but would like to take part in "My First Wii Challenge" with Nintendo.

Nintendo say they "are keen to offer Wiis to 40 MN families to encourage them to spend fun time together as a family as well as give them the opportunity to test out some great games". If you already have a Wii, please look out for the feedback thread for this project as Nintendo would like to hear your views too (in exchange for a prize draw Grin).

If you are selected for the test you'll be sent a Wii console, handsets and nunchucks for all the family plus the following games:

uDraw GameTablet with uDraw Studio
Mario Kart
Kirby's Epic Yarn, and
Just Dance Jnrs

We'd then like you to take part in 4 weekly challenges with the Wii. This will involve playing with one game per week and adding your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet.

The challenge will start week commencing 4 July and last for 4 weeks - so please only apply if you are able to add feedback every week in July.

Ideally we're looking for MNers in the UK with at least 2 children.

After the challenge is completed and you have added at least 4 lots of feedback you will be able to keep the console and games for your family to enjoy.

In addition, we will need 10 of the families selected to film themselves and their family playing with the Wii. These videos will be used on the Nintendo pages on Mumsnet in the autumn and possibly elsewhere (they will be hosted on YouTube). If you are willing to undertake the video element please indicate this on the form link below. You will be supplied with a FlipCam (which will need to be returned). You will be briefed on filming requirements but it shouldn't be too onerous.

To sign up please add your details here

Good luck and many thanks

Triggles · 27/07/2011 11:20

Our delivery had the wrong address on it, but postman recognised our names and brought it to us. Whew!!!

Jux · 27/07/2011 11:33

ILove, no I can't I have things to do while the others are out.

IShallWearMidnight · 27/07/2011 11:36

Humperdink, I've had both a parecel and letter deliveries today, with nothing from Nintendo either Sad

Collision · 27/07/2011 11:43

oooh post hasn't been yet! Am hanging on for a while but have told the boys we will go out later

oneofsuesylvesterscheerios · 27/07/2011 12:06

Postie has been along with red controller and the wii motion game - Bonus! Hurrah!

Now then -again, don't want to sound ungrateful; this is more of a fact-finding question and I realise it may not be answered for some time but I just want to know what to expect so I can plan ahead and be careful what I tell the dds/dh (the big kid). Also we're away from this weekend and parcels might be arriving.

The original speil said 'enough controllers/nunchucks for all the family'. We now have 2 controllers (hurrah) and 1 nunchuck but 4 family members. Will this be it now? I expect most families don't have 4 controllers so I'd be surprised if we did get 4 of them. Was just checking it out.

Still no Dance Juniors. Is it likely to arrive at any point or do we just review what we've got?

I'm aware this sounds spoilt - I more than appreciate that we've been sent extras, which is brilliant. I just wanted to ascertain what our end of the bargain still is...?

Neverlandpirate · 27/07/2011 12:12

Mine arrived by regular postman, like others I got the red controller, dance game and motion play Grin dd at nursery now so she will delighted when she gets home. Grin

I don't want to sound ungrateful but there are three of us in this house- me, dd and her granny so it would have been great if we had got enough controllers for us all to play against each other and test the products, but ah well, it is still wonderful that the parcel arrived this am. Thankyou Nintendo and AnnMumsnet. GrinGrin

Neverlandpirate · 27/07/2011 12:14

oneofsue Smile great minds think alike?

pithtaker · 27/07/2011 12:17

OOh, extra controller, play motion and dance juniors arrived today!

Off to try them out now. Grin

oneofsuesylvesterscheerios · 27/07/2011 12:21

DER!!!! Dance Junior was underneath wii motion. Dd1 has just found it in the packet! sorry sorry sorry!

Jux · 27/07/2011 12:40

DH and dd both here for a few minutes so we have: red remote, dance juniors and Wii motion. Goody. Thanks Nintendo. Reading through the blurb, they look likely to be more used than anything except Wii sports resort and MarioKart.

Does anyone know if MarioKart works without the steering wheel, ie with just the remote?

GypsyMoth · 27/07/2011 12:47

yes,you dont need the steering wheel at all

Triggles · 27/07/2011 12:58

yep, DH & I are already planning on racing on mariokart after kids in bed tonight... hahahahaha

LawrieMarlow · 27/07/2011 13:24

No post here yet. So still feeling hopeful Grin

ProfYaffle · 27/07/2011 14:30
