We have another exciting product test for you - we are looking for 40 Mumsnetters who don't already have a Wii at home but would like to take part in "My First Wii Challenge" with Nintendo.

Nintendo say they "are keen to offer Wiis to 40 MN families to encourage them to spend fun time together as a family as well as give them the opportunity to test out some great games". If you already have a Wii, please look out for the feedback thread for this project as Nintendo would like to hear your views too (in exchange for a prize draw Grin).

If you are selected for the test you'll be sent a Wii console, handsets and nunchucks for all the family plus the following games:

uDraw GameTablet with uDraw Studio
Mario Kart
Kirby's Epic Yarn, and
Just Dance Jnrs

We'd then like you to take part in 4 weekly challenges with the Wii. This will involve playing with one game per week and adding your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet.

The challenge will start week commencing 4 July and last for 4 weeks - so please only apply if you are able to add feedback every week in July.

Ideally we're looking for MNers in the UK with at least 2 children.

After the challenge is completed and you have added at least 4 lots of feedback you will be able to keep the console and games for your family to enjoy.

In addition, we will need 10 of the families selected to film themselves and their family playing with the Wii. These videos will be used on the Nintendo pages on Mumsnet in the autumn and possibly elsewhere (they will be hosted on YouTube). If you are willing to undertake the video element please indicate this on the form link below. You will be supplied with a FlipCam (which will need to be returned). You will be briefed on filming requirements but it shouldn't be too onerous.

To sign up please add your details here

Good luck and many thanks

MNHQ

I am not applying as we already have one. I hope others are as honest.
:)

IHeartKingThistle · 20/06/2011 21:43

Done. Fingers crossed - I want to do the dancing with DD!

KateMiddletonsMum · 20/06/2011 22:01

I have a wii but will happily test drive any other games/programmes for Nintendo Wink

Tortington · 20/06/2011 22:11

i gave up smoking and i deserve it SO BACK OFF

DebiTheScot · 20/06/2011 22:30

Is it a lucky dip with everyone who's entered or does our bit at the end we wrote get taken into account?

AnnMumsnet · 20/06/2011 22:38

Hi debi - all kinds of things are taken into account when choosing testers, so yes it does count but we do want to get a good cross section of MNers on the other questions too.
If you have a Wii already...do look out for the feedback thread as I think you'll be able to add your comments then!
Thanks to all who have applied so far.

Done. I really hope we win- I haven't won anything on here in about 2 years and I'd love a Wii to burn off some of the DCs' energy!

DebiTheScot · 20/06/2011 22:52

Thanks. Glad you understood my terrible sentence construction Blush

Collision · 20/06/2011 22:56

done, i hope!. omg how cool would that be?!!

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 21/06/2011 00:32

I've included my stepdaughter ie DH's daughter - she is not technically mine, but she is part of our family and household so i assume that is ok, MNHQ!!

inmysparetime · 21/06/2011 07:07

I have applied too, always wanted a wii but put off by the cost.

jasper1980 · 21/06/2011 07:23

Applied. Everything crossed! My kids would actually think Santa visited early if chosen!! Goodluck to everyone!Smile

shelley72 · 21/06/2011 07:33

have applied, though think maybe DCs are bit too little (nearly 4 and 1). DS would love the dancing and drawing games. have never owned ANY console - does that make me old Smile

CharlotteBronteSaurus · 21/06/2011 08:08

we are thinking about getting a console so the chance to test-drive one would be great. and technically we do have 2 dc, although i suspect 8mo dd2 is perhaps not exactly nintendo's target market Wink.

widedreamer · 21/06/2011 09:39

Good luck to all and Happy Testing!

Think the wii is a great console for children of all ages. (although 8months might be a little bit young lol)
I would love to see if my son could actually do the dance jrn would be so much fun!

GypsyMoth · 21/06/2011 09:59

Oh. I have just applied and then seen they are wanting families with more than one child. Hope we are considered despite this - being a one parent, one child family sucks sometimes! Sad (Still seething about holiday prices)

Neverlandpirate · 21/06/2011 12:39

Hopefully I have registered too, though used my old name of am36butfeel66.
