We have another exciting product test for you - we are looking for 40 Mumsnetters who don't already have a Wii at home but would like to take part in "My First Wii Challenge" with Nintendo.

Nintendo say they "are keen to offer Wiis to 40 MN families to encourage them to spend fun time together as a family as well as give them the opportunity to test out some great games". If you already have a Wii, please look out for the feedback thread for this project as Nintendo would like to hear your views too (in exchange for a prize draw Grin).

If you are selected for the test you'll be sent a Wii console, handsets and nunchucks for all the family plus the following games:

uDraw GameTablet with uDraw Studio
Mario Kart
Kirby's Epic Yarn, and
Just Dance Jnrs

We'd then like you to take part in 4 weekly challenges with the Wii. This will involve playing with one game per week and adding your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet.

The challenge will start week commencing 4 July and last for 4 weeks - so please only apply if you are able to add feedback every week in July.

Ideally we're looking for MNers in the UK with at least 2 children.

After the challenge is completed and you have added at least 4 lots of feedback you will be able to keep the console and games for your family to enjoy.

In addition, we will need 10 of the families selected to film themselves and their family playing with the Wii. These videos will be used on the Nintendo pages on Mumsnet in the autumn and possibly elsewhere (they will be hosted on YouTube). If you are willing to undertake the video element please indicate this on the form link below. You will be supplied with a FlipCam (which will need to be returned). You will be briefed on filming requirements but it shouldn't be too onerous.

To sign up please add your details here

Good luck and many thanks

Brilliant! Is that ok, that I used my more regular name? I'm in hiding at the moment.

SeenButNotHeard · 22/06/2011 13:41

Bast and anyone else who has an unused Wii - I would be very willing to take it off you hands for you Grin

AnnMumsnet · 22/06/2011 16:18

when do we find out who has been successful? im a little excited at even having the chance x

FiveInTheBed · 22/06/2011 18:13

When do we find out if we got picked?

PippiLongBottom · 22/06/2011 18:19

By the 27th wasn't it?

Collision · 22/06/2011 18:20

Can you imagine your children's faces if you won a Wii on Mumsnet?

Blatherskite · 22/06/2011 22:20

DS was almost shaking with excitement over a Lego Police car this afternoon, I think he'd probably just melt into a puddle on the floor if I told him we were getting a Wii Grin

ihavenewsockson · 23/06/2011 14:02

I know! I haven't told mine that I've entered because the excitiment would be too much.

I don't know why I told DH either- he keeps asking me to check my e-mails and have we heard anything yet? Smile

GypsyMoth · 23/06/2011 14:18

'end of the week' we were told......my hopes are not up on this one!

PippiLongBottom · 23/06/2011 14:45

I haven't told mine either. Wouldn't it be amazing to get one.

Blatherskite · 23/06/2011 14:58

I haven't told anybody. I'm hoping to surprise them all if we're lucky enough to be chosen.

Neverlandpirate · 23/06/2011 15:04

I would be over the moon to get one..it would be fantastic as I have always wanted one. But I only have one child so I expect my chances to be so slim that you would need a magnifying glass to see it :) ..

But I do have a grandparent living here too and was hoping to use her to show the usefulness of the wii for the whole family Grin

jasper1980 · 23/06/2011 15:48

I haven't told my kids either or dp! Not convinced I'll be lucky enough to be chosen!

magnolia74 · 23/06/2011 15:50

I haven't told dh or the kids either. They would convince themselves we will get picked then have a meltdown if we don't Grin

Neverlandpirate · 23/06/2011 15:58

I wonder if everyone that signed up also wrote on this thread..as there are so far 90 posts..and some of us have written more than once...so if my maths is right that is roughly a 1:2 chance of getting it?

My maths may be completely off though Blush. Knowing my luck 2090 people signed up and all of those but me have two or more children and have a wonderful vibrant command of the English language that would make them ideal for writing feedback! Hmm.

I wonder if I could bribe the organisers of this with some banana and chocolate chip muffins I have just made instead? Grin.

Bohica · 23/06/2011 16:20

I haven't told the children, if we win I will set it all up before they come home from school. If we are picked to also video use I will video there reaction!

5inthebed · 23/06/2011 16:40

I wonder if my reason for getting one will help? Does "gimme gimme gimme" count as a reason?

Blatherskite · 23/06/2011 16:51

DS would love being videoed. DD always does her "camera grin" though so she'd be constantly gurning into the lens :)

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 23/06/2011 16:58

We had a Wii untill it met an untimley demise with DS shoving something in the disk slot, so if we win it will be a miracle good as we could not afford to replace it!

Although i won some cheese on a comp here a few months ago so my winning Karma for my lifetime will prob be over!

thinbridewaitingtogetout · 23/06/2011 17:00

Actually i prob should not win as its my FIRST WII challenge Blush.

Blatherskite · 23/06/2011 17:26

If it helps my case any - the last console I owned was a Playstation.

Not a PS2/3/whatever they're up to but an original Playstation.

MrsSnaplegs · 24/06/2011 08:11

It's the 'end of the week' anyone had an email yet?
Waiting with baited breath hereGrin

SeenButNotHeard · 24/06/2011 09:12

No email here yet - so relieved that no one else seems to have heard either Grin

IShallWearMidnight · 24/06/2011 09:15

Bltherskite - I can beat that - my first and only games console was a Sega Megadrive bought in 1991 Shock.
