We have another exciting product test for you - we are looking for 40 Mumsnetters who don't already have a Wii at home but would like to take part in "My First Wii Challenge" with Nintendo.

Nintendo say they "are keen to offer Wiis to 40 MN families to encourage them to spend fun time together as a family as well as give them the opportunity to test out some great games". If you already have a Wii, please look out for the feedback thread for this project as Nintendo would like to hear your views too (in exchange for a prize draw Grin).

If you are selected for the test you'll be sent a Wii console, handsets and nunchucks for all the family plus the following games:

uDraw GameTablet with uDraw Studio
Mario Kart
Kirby's Epic Yarn, and
Just Dance Jnrs

We'd then like you to take part in 4 weekly challenges with the Wii. This will involve playing with one game per week and adding your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet.

The challenge will start week commencing 4 July and last for 4 weeks - so please only apply if you are able to add feedback every week in July.

Ideally we're looking for MNers in the UK with at least 2 children.

After the challenge is completed and you have added at least 4 lots of feedback you will be able to keep the console and games for your family to enjoy.

In addition, we will need 10 of the families selected to film themselves and their family playing with the Wii. These videos will be used on the Nintendo pages on Mumsnet in the autumn and possibly elsewhere (they will be hosted on YouTube). If you are willing to undertake the video element please indicate this on the form link below. You will be supplied with a FlipCam (which will need to be returned). You will be briefed on filming requirements but it shouldn't be too onerous.

To sign up please add your details here

Good luck and many thanks

Interesting word order there Grin

Am glad people are getting Pictionary and Spongebob - I was feeling a little guilty that we had them and other people didn't.

IShallWearMidnight · 12/07/2011 10:06

Pictionary and Spongebob arrived just now - DD2 is happy (she's off school ill at the moment and is really cross about it, so can sit on the sofa playing Wii games) as she's now the Main Tester of Stuff Grin.

udraw is popular with the teens in this house Blush

WiiDram · 12/07/2011 10:21

Oooh are pictionary and spongebob coming with the normal post or by courier?

Adair · 12/07/2011 10:42

normal post and fitted through the door so on the mat when I jsut got in - wow! What a nice surprise!

Jux · 12/07/2011 10:53

DD is enjoying the Resort Sports so much that I can't get her to do anything else. I am going to try them all today and tomorrow, as have been really busy over the last couple of days (dh's birthday).

When we get the extra controllers then it'll be worth people coming over to play. Yesterday, the adults decided not to, as there was only one controller so left it to the kids. The 4 yr old was OK watching dd play but wasn't absolutely delighted, iyswim. They preferred the trampoline in the garden!

Neverlandpirate · 12/07/2011 11:18

AnnMumsnet do you know yet from nintendo if we are going to receive extra controllers?

I am really glad that others are now getting spongebob and pictionary as I was feeling a tad guilty that we had received it while others hadn't.Smile

oneofsuesylvesterscheerios · 12/07/2011 12:03

Have had pictionary and spongebob in post (hurrah!) and a royal mail note about a package that wouldn't fit through door. I wondered if that might be the extra controllers but going by the comments today I don't think it can be.

Yes, also don't want to be moaning Minnie but one of the ideas behind considering a Wii was the inclusive nature of the console. What I didn't want is each dd playing alone and nit engaging with others. Dd2 especially is getting frustrated waiting for dd1 to finish what she's doing. Would be good to find out if other controllers are to follow.

(bet Ann is rueing the day she got involved with this one!)

ProfYaffle · 12/07/2011 12:18

Post just been and no extra games Sad

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 12/07/2011 12:22

Just got our spongebob and pictionary games delivered by our postman - are these games that we're supposed to be reviewing?

I'm getting a bit confused re: what we've got in terms of games and what we've not got in terms of controllers to enable the family experience to start!

AnnMumsnet · 12/07/2011 12:25

Hi - yes you should be getting extra controllers/nunchucks soon!
The first review I think will be looking at the uDraw and (not that I have one) I understand you can play extra games with it - eg pictionary - so please do have a play with all aspects of the uDraw and we'll be sending out the link soon for the feedback thread

Thank you Ann Grin

GypsyMoth · 12/07/2011 12:29

Can you play more than 4 people? Im not sure. But that should be at least 3 more controllers, so will be fab!!

Many thanks Ann!!

AnnMumsnet · 12/07/2011 12:32

Not 100% sure how many you'll get but at least one extra one.

Thanks AnnMumnset. I was going to go out and buy another controller, but I will wait now and see what arrives.

Hope you ok AnnMumsnet and not getting too stressed with all our queries?

HereLiesDobbyAFreeElf · 12/07/2011 12:48

Oh wow, pictionary and SBSP, will have to stalk my mailbox today then. Would be great if we got them as would make the Udraw more user friendly.

DS3 (2) loves the udraw though and has just about figured out how to change colour.

Pictionary and SBSP here as wellGrin
Out of interest I just calculated how much nintendo have spent so far on this product test based on amazon prices
Just with what we've received so far it is nearly £10k Shock for all 40 of us!

Scootergrrrl · 12/07/2011 13:04

I had to start my five year old off very gradually - draw me a picture just using one colour, make me a picture just with stamps etc. Is she using the clicky button on the pen to get to and from the toolbox?

Jaquelinehyde · 12/07/2011 13:06

Ann I think I love you a little bit for sorting all this out!

HereLiesDobbyAFreeElf · 12/07/2011 13:07

Wiinetter, I have no idea. He just "gets" it. I change the colour for him, but he can get on the screen. He loves the colouring in pages.

Postman has just been with Pictionary and Spongebob. Kids will be happy when they get in from school!

Thrilled to hear that we're going to have more nunchucks/controllers coming! I've noticed the kids (and us) want to play AGAINST each other on some things (sports, mariokart) and at this point can't. It also saves the whole fiddly "changing the size of the wrist strap over and over until you are batty" thing.

SamsGoldilocks · 12/07/2011 14:46

Me and ds1 have been having a go on Udraw this lunchtime but we've given up for a bit of Beebies - we both need a bit more practise to 'get' it. But joy of joy we too have recieved the pictionary and squarebobs package in the post too. Happy day.
