We have another exciting product test for you - we are looking for 40 Mumsnetters who don't already have a Wii at home but would like to take part in "My First Wii Challenge" with Nintendo.

Nintendo say they "are keen to offer Wiis to 40 MN families to encourage them to spend fun time together as a family as well as give them the opportunity to test out some great games". If you already have a Wii, please look out for the feedback thread for this project as Nintendo would like to hear your views too (in exchange for a prize draw Grin).

If you are selected for the test you'll be sent a Wii console, handsets and nunchucks for all the family plus the following games:

uDraw GameTablet with uDraw Studio
Mario Kart
Kirby's Epic Yarn, and
Just Dance Jnrs

We'd then like you to take part in 4 weekly challenges with the Wii. This will involve playing with one game per week and adding your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet.

The challenge will start week commencing 4 July and last for 4 weeks - so please only apply if you are able to add feedback every week in July.

Ideally we're looking for MNers in the UK with at least 2 children.

After the challenge is completed and you have added at least 4 lots of feedback you will be able to keep the console and games for your family to enjoy.

In addition, we will need 10 of the families selected to film themselves and their family playing with the Wii. These videos will be used on the Nintendo pages on Mumsnet in the autumn and possibly elsewhere (they will be hosted on YouTube). If you are willing to undertake the video element please indicate this on the form link below. You will be supplied with a FlipCam (which will need to be returned). You will be briefed on filming requirements but it shouldn't be too onerous.

To sign up please add your details here

Good luck and many thanks

Well I've managed to find a way to stay in all day, so that means it definitely won't arrive today! Sod's law and all that.

In fact I bet they all arrive but the games won't and we'll have to stare at the unusable console whilst our DC glare at us! Grin

Triggles · 08/07/2011 07:59

pmsl HumperdinkFangboner - the same thought crossed my mind - console but no games! Grin But I'm being careful not to mention that possibility to DH - wouldn't want to traumatise him!

It's like waiting for Christmas, only Christmas does eventually arrive...

5inthebed · 08/07/2011 09:34

Still waiting.
Have decided not to take DS3 in his nursery beach trip today so I can wait it

No deliveries here yet.Sad

Ann wrote that they should arrive by the weekend..not that they will, so my bet is that a numchuck thingy will arrive tomorrow, followed by a plug on mon, the wii on tues, and a game on wed.....Wink

HumperdinkFangboner · 08/07/2011 09:48

I doubt they'll do a Saturday delivery.

I know I'm never 1st on the courier delivery rounds usually after lunch here.

5inthebed · 08/07/2011 09:51

Why didn't they just send us all a voucher for the stuff? Then we could have gone and got them ourselves

Jaquelinehyde · 08/07/2011 10:02

Right, children at school, jobs done, checking in for a day of delivery van spotting and general spying on neighbours...Also waiting for my degree results that should be out today, so I think it's going to be a long one!

HumperdinkFangboner · 08/07/2011 10:03

Oh degree results are exciting!

IShallWearMidnight · 08/07/2011 10:03

I'm usually lunchtime here, so if nothing by 2, then it's not today. Unless it's Home Delivery Network in which case it will either be 3.20 (if it's the mum from school) or 6.45 (if it's the old bloke).
[wonders if it's a bit sad to know which couriers deliver when round here]

5inthebed · 08/07/2011 10:10

Ann, is there any way of finding out the tracking numbers, or even who it is coming from?

Wazs thinking about this yesterday, maybe we are not getting Wiis. MAybe we are a diversion and there are 40 other MNers who have won.

I tend to over think things though.

Not a single delivery van stopped near here yet today so it could still be any of them.

Neverlandpirate · 08/07/2011 10:56

Ok dd now at nursery for a day of fun (they're having a big party today for those that are leaving)Smile and I am now sitting in a chair in front of window. Waiting.........

I am still feeling yuk after tummy bug so that is my excuse to not move from this chair all day doing van watch. Grin

Any degree results yet?

rusmum · 08/07/2011 11:12

not here either! and I am in all day! next week out everyday so whats the chances lol x

GypsyMoth · 08/07/2011 11:14

Not looking good for today then, again.

Out of 40 of us I'm sure someone would have had a delivery by now.

HumperdinkFangboner · 08/07/2011 11:19

Not looking good is it?!

See you here on Monday?

Triggles · 08/07/2011 12:18

We never get our deliveries here until after 4pm... so I am still waiting in hope. Grin

Jaquelinehyde · 08/07/2011 12:19

Still nothing and to make matters worse I have just been told our degree results probably won't be available until next week sometime! Sad

Jux · 08/07/2011 12:44

Good luck Jaquelinehyde.

No delivery here either, and they usually come late morning. We have to be out from about 4 this afternoon. I'll be out from 8.30 until 5ish tomorrow, and dh will probably be out from midday until 5ish.

My friend was going to do a barbecue tomorrow to which I was going to bring the Wii (having forgotten I had a tutorial anyway! Blush), because she and her dp really wanted a go on it.... Grin

DH can't eat that sort of stuff atm anyway, so we'd have cried off with or without Wii.

Scootergrrrl · 08/07/2011 13:10

What am I going to do with my children on Sunday morning now? We have a big night out on Saturday and the Wii was my secret tool for a) getting them to stay in bed past 6am and b) play nicely downstairs without resorting to beating each other with sticks or fist fights over the tv remote Sad

IShallWearMidnight · 08/07/2011 14:48

nothing here today, not even regular postman, so i'm guessing there's a black hole somewhere down the road which has sucked up all deliveries for the day Sad.

GypsyMoth · 08/07/2011 14:53

So is a Saturday delivery likely?
