We have another exciting product test for you - we are looking for 40 Mumsnetters who don't already have a Wii at home but would like to take part in "My First Wii Challenge" with Nintendo.

Nintendo say they "are keen to offer Wiis to 40 MN families to encourage them to spend fun time together as a family as well as give them the opportunity to test out some great games". If you already have a Wii, please look out for the feedback thread for this project as Nintendo would like to hear your views too (in exchange for a prize draw Grin).

If you are selected for the test you'll be sent a Wii console, handsets and nunchucks for all the family plus the following games:

uDraw GameTablet with uDraw Studio
Mario Kart
Kirby's Epic Yarn, and
Just Dance Jnrs

We'd then like you to take part in 4 weekly challenges with the Wii. This will involve playing with one game per week and adding your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet.

The challenge will start week commencing 4 July and last for 4 weeks - so please only apply if you are able to add feedback every week in July.

Ideally we're looking for MNers in the UK with at least 2 children.

After the challenge is completed and you have added at least 4 lots of feedback you will be able to keep the console and games for your family to enjoy.

In addition, we will need 10 of the families selected to film themselves and their family playing with the Wii. These videos will be used on the Nintendo pages on Mumsnet in the autumn and possibly elsewhere (they will be hosted on YouTube). If you are willing to undertake the video element please indicate this on the form link below. You will be supplied with a FlipCam (which will need to be returned). You will be briefed on filming requirements but it shouldn't be too onerous.

To sign up please add your details here

Good luck and many thanks

Aaargh, nothing here either, was hoping to leave for our hols tomorrow (taking the wii with us to keep the dc entertained in the sunny rainy Highlands) and I really don't wanna have to hold off until Monday

HumperdinkFangboner · 08/07/2011 16:02

Doubt they'll have paid extra for a Saturday courier delivery.

ShatnersBassoon · 08/07/2011 16:07

It will be Monday at the earliest now, if they have sent them.

What a shame that there's been such a delay and confusion. I was so chuffed and excited this time last week, now I'm getting fed up of fielding texts from DH asking if it's arrived yet and leaping towards the window every time I hear a vehicle coming up the road Angry

HumperdinkFangboner · 08/07/2011 16:35

Well we've got quite a substantial reward for very little, even if it has taken a bit longer than expected to receive it. Plus the delay has meant my eldest has been very well behaved with constant threat of no wii time Blush Grin

Sad
AnnMumsnet · 08/07/2011 17:21

Now i don't want to get hopes up or for anyone to change plans but i can say there may well be saturday deliveries for this.
I just want to be cautious with you as i am very aware of managing expectations with you all as you have all been so patient. It may well be that not everyone has a delivery tomorrow depending on where they live and i don't know what delivery method is being used but all i am saying is there is a chance....
Do let me know and i'm crossing everything

Oh it would be great if i could be a sat delivery but I do doubt it! I live in Northern Ireland and we have some public holidays here next week which would make tues/wed deliveries impossible. So if it doesn't come tomorrow it may have to be next thurs for me...Hmm

heymammy · 08/07/2011 17:41

Fingers crossed then everyone for a delivery tomorrow. Thanks for the update Ann, you must be bashing your head on your desk by now Grin. Of course we're not being deliberately ungrateful Wink we just want our super duper FREE WII immediately sometime soon

ShatnersBassoon · 08/07/2011 17:47

Thanks Ann, I realise I've the organisation of this product test must have been a pain in the neck for you.

We'll be Wii-ing with gay abandon by Monday, and I'm very grateful for your efforts.

HumperdinkFangboner · 08/07/2011 17:49

Knew there was a down side of living on a Island!

Triggles · 08/07/2011 17:50

Thanks Ann for the update. We're waiting ever so patiently... if you disregard the wear in the carpet from walking back and forth from the sofa to the living room window, that is ! Grin Looking forward to the delivery!

TheProvincialLady · 08/07/2011 17:53

Oh thank goodness. I'll be out all day Monday so Saturday will be perfect (if it happens). Thanks for letting us knowSmile

AnnMumsnet · 08/07/2011 18:34

Blush I am trying my best...and so are Nintendo - just seems to have been tricky for reasons unknown. I think it'll be worth it!

GypsyMoth · 08/07/2011 18:41

Thanks Ann!! Sure it will!

LawrieMarlow · 08/07/2011 19:37

Ooh if it were tonorrow that would be brilliant Grin. Have told DC it is unlikely tp come until Monday so may be a nice surprise for us all.

Triggles · 08/07/2011 19:38

Ann - you've been brilliant about letting us know what's going on. No worries. Grin

Jaquelinehyde · 08/07/2011 19:58

Thanks for the update Ann and I love the fact that you are attempting to manage our expectations, when quite clearly some of us are doing nothing to manage our own or our families expectations! Grin

So tomorrow maybe, at least that would take my mind off waiting for my degree results.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 08/07/2011 20:08

Tomorrow would be great (if it's being delivered here not DH's work)!

I'm off shopping in the morning leaving DH and DS's at home so a Wii delivery would be just perfect!

If not next week would be fine too Grin

5inthebed · 08/07/2011 21:33

Thank you Ann.

ProfYaffle · 09/07/2011 07:36

SCREEEEEEEEEEAM!!! It's here - house in meltdown Grin

ProfYaffle · 09/07/2011 07:37

Just noticed Just Dance isn't in the box but the other 3 are. I'm guessing it'll come separately.

ShatnersBassoon · 09/07/2011 08:05

Woohoo! It's here! The children are over the moon and desperate to get it set up.

The dance game and extra controllers weren't in the box, assuming that's what will come separately.

WhatShouldWeDo · 09/07/2011 08:07

Woooohhhhh!!

The ONLY lie in I get all week & I have just had a massive knock on the door & it's now like christmas morning in our house!!

Thanks Ann
