We have another exciting product test for you - we are looking for 40 Mumsnetters who don't already have a Wii at home but would like to take part in "My First Wii Challenge" with Nintendo.

Nintendo say they "are keen to offer Wiis to 40 MN families to encourage them to spend fun time together as a family as well as give them the opportunity to test out some great games". If you already have a Wii, please look out for the feedback thread for this project as Nintendo would like to hear your views too (in exchange for a prize draw Grin).

If you are selected for the test you'll be sent a Wii console, handsets and nunchucks for all the family plus the following games:

uDraw GameTablet with uDraw Studio
Mario Kart
Kirby's Epic Yarn, and
Just Dance Jnrs

We'd then like you to take part in 4 weekly challenges with the Wii. This will involve playing with one game per week and adding your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet.

The challenge will start week commencing 4 July and last for 4 weeks - so please only apply if you are able to add feedback every week in July.

Ideally we're looking for MNers in the UK with at least 2 children.

After the challenge is completed and you have added at least 4 lots of feedback you will be able to keep the console and games for your family to enjoy.

In addition, we will need 10 of the families selected to film themselves and their family playing with the Wii. These videos will be used on the Nintendo pages on Mumsnet in the autumn and possibly elsewhere (they will be hosted on YouTube). If you are willing to undertake the video element please indicate this on the form link below. You will be supplied with a FlipCam (which will need to be returned). You will be briefed on filming requirements but it shouldn't be too onerous.

To sign up please add your details here

Good luck and many thanks

Nothing yet!

McNameChange · 06/07/2011 10:23

Oh bugger forgot my name change.

LawrieMarlow · 06/07/2011 12:01

Am about to go out for about 30 minutes.

Hoping this does not mean a courier will arrive. Although they could for other people, just not me.

DC have nearly given up asking about the Wii now...

Scootergrrrl · 06/07/2011 12:07

I was sure mine would arrive while I was in the shower after my run Sad Everything always does.

But no.......

IShallWearMidnight · 06/07/2011 12:28

I've told the DDs it won't be here before Friday in order to cut down the constant cries of "when is is Wii man coming with our Wii?" (as well as bad puns about wee samples to test Hmm)

LawrieMarlow · 06/07/2011 12:36

Got back.

No Wii :(

ShatnersBassoon · 06/07/2011 17:55

I've got a good feeling about tomorrow. It will come tomorrow, it will come tomorrow, it will come tomorrow, it will come tomorrow...

LawrieMarlow · 06/07/2011 18:07

Well I am in all day tomorrow apart from school runs and then the children are at their dad's house tomorrow night so I could play Grin. Although if it did come while they were at school might need to hide it or they might refuse to leave Grin

Bohica · 06/07/2011 18:08

Y Y IShall we have had lots of wee jokes banded about.

We get to play with wee.
We are going to be filmed having a wee.
What will the wee smell like mummy.

Ha ha, yes very funny Hmm

Bore off.

Collision · 06/07/2011 18:15

I really hope it is here tomorrow. I neeeeeeeeeeed it for the weekend.

GypsyMoth · 06/07/2011 18:17

Have a good feeling about tomorrow too!!

Fingers crossed

HumperdinkFangboner · 06/07/2011 19:21

It will be tomorrow, I'm on my volunteer placement all day ergo all my deliveries will arrive tomorrow!

Jux · 06/07/2011 19:42

Hello, all. I'm very surprised I won one, too. I contacted MN late Mon to say hadn't got it, they said it was delayed and would come Wed/Thur. Tues am, big knock on my door and massive parcel arrived, for which I signed. Clever clogs here got straight onto MNHQ to say wowed wonderful, it's here. Opened parcel this morning ( had to wait for both dh and dd to witness grand wondrousness). Lo, 'twas something else entirely Blush

MNHQ, mine hasn't arrived after all. Sorry.

Bohica · 06/07/2011 21:01

Ahh your poor DD Jux I can feel her dissapointment from here!!

NeverLandPirate I'm still waiting to know if you have seen your neighbours wife yet

NonnoMum · 06/07/2011 21:21

Oooooh - is this just a giant wind up???

Bohica · 06/07/2011 21:27

It's the Kate Middleton web chat all over again isn't it?

We will probably get an email telling us there has been a mistake & offering us a 20% discount voucher for Primark instead Sad

HumperdinkFangboner · 06/07/2011 21:32

Lol @ the primark voucher Grin

IShallWearMidnight · 06/07/2011 21:47

surely with a 20% discount Primark would be paying us? The DDs would be happy enough with that actually as they do some quite nice jumpers...

GypsyMoth · 06/07/2011 21:54

have you seen the other product test thread for the american fridge freezers??

lots of sarky 'wii' comments lol

Fennel · 06/07/2011 21:58

I haven't seen the fridge freezer thread but I'm rather enjoying the product feedback thread for the Dettol handwash dispenser (I didn't enter that competition, can't get excited about handwash). I nipped on to get an idea of what we might have to post. It does make the Wii look fun in comparison.

Bohica · 06/07/2011 22:12

ILove Linky please, if only to get my mind off the non existent Wii win.

LawrieMarlow · 06/07/2011 22:20

Here's the fridge freezer thread

Am starting to think the Wii is probably not going to happen. Feel a bit stupid for mentioning it to the DC to be honest. Maybe if we all think positive thoughts it might really happen.

Triggles · 06/07/2011 22:44

Just thinking positive thoughts. I have to say though, I won't be signing up for the fridge freezer. First of all, I'd feel a bit cheeky after getting the Wii (well, hopefully, as it hasn't arrived yet Grin) and then applying for the fridge freezer. And secondly, the Samsung American-style fridge freezers have been known to have a substantial flaw that causes it to ice up in the back and then overheat the motor or some such thing, which causes it to break down frequently. Apparently it's a huuuuuuuge thing that I don't believe has been fixed yet. So I wouldn't touch one! Hmm Although (cheerfully hopeful) perhaps they think they have finally fixed that flaw and want testers for it. Hope so - it's a nice looking appliance, but looks don't keep food cold. Grin

Jux · 07/07/2011 00:54

The email I got from MNHQ on Tuesday was that there had been a delay and they were expecting to get them out "tomorrow or Wednesday". That could mean they don't arrive until Friday.

Are they easy to hook up, do you know?

GypsyMoth · 07/07/2011 08:00

Could be today tho.....could be today!!
