We have another exciting product test for you - we are looking for 40 Mumsnetters who don't already have a Wii at home but would like to take part in "My First Wii Challenge" with Nintendo.

Nintendo say they "are keen to offer Wiis to 40 MN families to encourage them to spend fun time together as a family as well as give them the opportunity to test out some great games". If you already have a Wii, please look out for the feedback thread for this project as Nintendo would like to hear your views too (in exchange for a prize draw Grin).

If you are selected for the test you'll be sent a Wii console, handsets and nunchucks for all the family plus the following games:

uDraw GameTablet with uDraw Studio
Mario Kart
Kirby's Epic Yarn, and
Just Dance Jnrs

We'd then like you to take part in 4 weekly challenges with the Wii. This will involve playing with one game per week and adding your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet.

The challenge will start week commencing 4 July and last for 4 weeks - so please only apply if you are able to add feedback every week in July.

Ideally we're looking for MNers in the UK with at least 2 children.

After the challenge is completed and you have added at least 4 lots of feedback you will be able to keep the console and games for your family to enjoy.

In addition, we will need 10 of the families selected to film themselves and their family playing with the Wii. These videos will be used on the Nintendo pages on Mumsnet in the autumn and possibly elsewhere (they will be hosted on YouTube). If you are willing to undertake the video element please indicate this on the form link below. You will be supplied with a FlipCam (which will need to be returned). You will be briefed on filming requirements but it shouldn't be too onerous.

To sign up please add your details here

Good luck and many thanks

Thank you Ann :)

So does that mean they could come tomorrow or is Wednesday the earliest?

Just told DC and they are glad to hear they will come one day Grin

QueenOfFeckingEverything · 04/07/2011 17:02

When are we expected to add the first feedback? Cos we are away at the weekend - I was assuming we'd be able to test the game during this week but if it might not even be sent til wednesday we'll be cutting it a bit fine!

Scootergrrrl · 04/07/2011 17:17

Waiting with anticipation.....

rusmum · 04/07/2011 17:23

SO WE WILL PROB GET THEM THURS OR FRI?

oops caps sorry

Triggles · 04/07/2011 17:24

oh, so glad I've seen this.. we were getting concerned as we hadn't seen ours yet! not so nervous now... lol

AnnMumsnet · 04/07/2011 17:41

I'm guessing then they'll say arrive Thurs or Fri and then you should try the uDraw game tablet over the next few days - into the weekend (if you can, no prob if away/ busy) - I've suggested we'll start the thread end of this week - and once it's live you can add your feedback when you have tried the games.... Sorry all a bit vague but we're getting there Grin thanks for being kind!

WOuld be good for the weekend as DH at work and it will keep the DC occupied.

Thanks Ann.

Jaquelinehyde · 04/07/2011 18:28

Ah ha, I had last minute guests all afternoon so that put an end to my delivery van obsession Grin

So I suppose we shall all re-group here Thursday am...I wonder who shall be first?

HumperdinkFangboner · 04/07/2011 18:31

Thanks for the update Ann.

At least the bribery period can be extended! Grin

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 04/07/2011 19:19

Great - at least I know they didn't leave it under the trailer like lots of delivery companies have started doing! I was starting to think someone had pinched it!

NonnoMum · 04/07/2011 20:14

Awww - the promise of a freebie was what hurried me home from work today. Oh, and the smiling faces of my three offspring... Nearly forgot.

Bohica · 04/07/2011 20:40

Thursday suits me as DH is home all day whilst I go to Cambridge so he can set it up & then me & the children can spend the weekend playing uDraw, filming & reviewing Smile

NeverLandPirate have you seen your neighbours wife yet?

Fennel · 05/07/2011 10:39

No worries with waiting here, I'd already banned it this morning til the house is TIDIED UP AND YES THAT MEANS ALL TOYS AND CLOTHES... etc. It's a fab threat, I am enjoying this virtual wii very much already.

GypsyMoth · 05/07/2011 10:49

Yes,it's a fab parenting tool!!

I can see my teens bedroom floors...I have all my cups/plates/bowls washed and in the cupboard instead of in their rooms!!

Brilliant....... Delay it a bit longer and maybe I will get them cleaning the car/cutting grass/cleaning skirting boards!

5inthebed · 05/07/2011 16:53

Another Wiiless day I see :)

Bohica · 05/07/2011 21:15

I GOT A Wii!!!!!!!!!

Ok, not a whole Wii console it was actually the Wii handheld charger I ordered from Ebay but it's a start, right?

Fennel · 05/07/2011 21:22

I came home to a super-tidied house after my dire No Wii Threats yesterday. I'd threatened to give the Wii away to someone else if they didn't clear up. This wii is such a good thing....

Triggles · 05/07/2011 23:43

Between this Wii and the puppy we're getting next week, I swear the kids think it's Christmas here. LOL

ProfYaffle · 06/07/2011 07:06

Aww, Bohica - you got me all excited then!

GypsyMoth · 06/07/2011 07:52

So if they did actually 'go out' yesterday, it is possible they could arrive today???

5inthebed · 06/07/2011 07:54

Glad DH is off today! Will be watching again for courier, hope it comes today or tomorrow!

Triggles · 06/07/2011 08:35

Yep, we'll all be jumping every time a vehicle goes by the house. patient, us?? not a chance! Grin
