We have another exciting product test for you - we are looking for 40 Mumsnetters who don't already have a Wii at home but would like to take part in "My First Wii Challenge" with Nintendo.

Nintendo say they "are keen to offer Wiis to 40 MN families to encourage them to spend fun time together as a family as well as give them the opportunity to test out some great games". If you already have a Wii, please look out for the feedback thread for this project as Nintendo would like to hear your views too (in exchange for a prize draw Grin).

If you are selected for the test you'll be sent a Wii console, handsets and nunchucks for all the family plus the following games:

uDraw GameTablet with uDraw Studio
Mario Kart
Kirby's Epic Yarn, and
Just Dance Jnrs

We'd then like you to take part in 4 weekly challenges with the Wii. This will involve playing with one game per week and adding your feedback to a thread on Mumsnet.

The challenge will start week commencing 4 July and last for 4 weeks - so please only apply if you are able to add feedback every week in July.

Ideally we're looking for MNers in the UK with at least 2 children.

After the challenge is completed and you have added at least 4 lots of feedback you will be able to keep the console and games for your family to enjoy.

In addition, we will need 10 of the families selected to film themselves and their family playing with the Wii. These videos will be used on the Nintendo pages on Mumsnet in the autumn and possibly elsewhere (they will be hosted on YouTube). If you are willing to undertake the video element please indicate this on the form link below. You will be supplied with a FlipCam (which will need to be returned). You will be briefed on filming requirements but it shouldn't be too onerous.

To sign up please add your details here

Good luck and many thanks

MNHQ

It should have been fairly obvious that those of us without a Wii already may also have old TVs as well Grin Ours is a big rear projection jobbie my DH got before we met Hmm I have offered to buy a new TV but he won't give it up for anything less than 50 inches Shock

Neverlandpirate · 30/06/2011 21:59

My tv is so old I actually have to power it up by a bicycle peddled by any small child in the area Grin

LawrieMarlow · 30/06/2011 21:59

Have found this which makes it sound not too complicated. Am very determined not to need to ask ex H to help at all, as I am well known for being useless with wires and want to prove my abilities to get something right Grin

Bohica · 30/06/2011 22:01

Grin @ never

5inthebed · 30/06/2011 22:01

I think they are very easy to plus in, just one scart IIRC, my Dsis has one.

I was pulling into my street this afternoon and saw a Parcelforce van pulling out, sped home to check for a card, luckily nothing. Hoping tomorrow so it is here for weekend.

Anyone received theirs yet? No sign here, I'm waiting in today because I don't want to miss it.

Fennel · 01/07/2011 10:58

No sign of ours yet but I have already threatened No Wii for a few days if the dc don't stop squabbling. Not yet here and it's already an effective threat Grin.

5inthebed · 01/07/2011 11:35

Grin Fennel.

I have promised DS1 a Wii game if he does all his jobs. He said COD Hmm, he is 8!

ProfYaffle · 01/07/2011 11:36

I'm bored of waiting in now

ShatnersBassoon · 01/07/2011 11:37

Nothing here either, so I assume they'll be coming tomorrow or Monday (surely one of us would be at the start of a courier's round and would have had it this morning if they'd been out for delivery today).

GypsyMoth · 01/07/2011 12:09

Nothing here either

I get a lie in tomorrow, so will expect it bright and early!!

5inthebed · 01/07/2011 12:15

MNHQ, have you any idea who the delivery company will be, so that I can phone and harrass keep an eye out for them.

HumperdinkFangboner · 01/07/2011 13:11

Not arrived here yet either.

I've just risked leaving the house.

SamsGoldilocks · 01/07/2011 13:12

Phew it's not just me who hasn't got theirs yet. I haven't told the dc yet. They have no idea. Dh is excited but i can hardly contain myself. Although i feel i should have kept it a secret from DH - it's his 40th next week and i could've given it to him as a pressie !

AnnMumsnet · 01/07/2011 13:12

Sorry guys...I know nuffink...my contact is away too so I can't check.
Please don't wait in though...Smile

Nothing here - have been out all day so slightly glad in a way it didn't arrive in my absence. Although will probably turn up v early tomorrow when I am having a lie in now Grin

ProfYaffle · 01/07/2011 16:18

Still nothing, though in other news, I took delivery of a wheeled push hoe so not an entirely wasted day.

Bohica · 01/07/2011 16:57

Nothing here but I'm glad because I have been at work all week. No doubt it will be here at 7am & no chance of going back to bed as the DC will want to get started straight away Smile

IShallWearMidnight · 02/07/2011 09:29

another day, another courier watch [excited]

IHeartKingThistle · 02/07/2011 09:34

I really hope it's today!

Bohica · 02/07/2011 09:47

It HAS to be today, I the children can't stand the wait any longer!

satine · 02/07/2011 09:54

I'm sitting here still in my dressing gown as I know the second I step into the shower the doorbell will ring - well, I hope so, anyway! And it's a great excuse for slobbing around and not getting dressed.

MrsSnaplegs · 02/07/2011 10:06

Nothing here yet and we have to go out this morning Sad

GypsyMoth · 02/07/2011 10:07

Have a feeling it won't be today. We rarely get deliveries on a Saturday!
