Asda is looking for 50 Mumsnetters to try out their Back to School uniform range. They've put in a lot of effort to make it hard-wearing, comfortable and easy to wash and iron and want to put it to the test on your child.

If you have a school-aged child or a child about to start school and would like to put the new range through its paces please add your details by clicking here.

You can select uniform for one child - we're sorry if this causes any problems for those with more than one school aged child but we wanted to ensure as many MNers as possible were able to take part.

You may select a t-shirt/ shirt pack, one trousers/ dress/ shirt and one jumper/ cardigan. The uniform will be worth up to £15.

If you are selected to test the uniform, your name, address and sizing/ clothing requirement details will be sent to Asda who will send you the uniform directly.

We will then need you and your child to try the uniform - really putting it through its paces, washing it, wearing it as usual then to add feedback on Mumsnet.

We'll want you to add feedback three times -

~ once when you first receive it

~ when it has been worn and washed once or twice and

~ lastly when it has been washed and worn a few times

Everyone who is selected for the test, and then offers three lots of feedback will be entered into a prize draw to where one winner will receive £200 of Asda vouchers.

Thanks and good luck. If selected you will be emailed confirmation and should receive uniform within 2-3 weeks.

Thanks for the feedback already on this thread....

ln1981 · 20/09/2010 12:14

nothing here yet either. i have everything crossed that perhaps the postie is just a wee bit late...

ElizabethWakefield · 20/09/2010 17:21

Got some of mine this morning, picked it up from the sorting office and then left it in DP's car Grin

Still waiting on the green sweatshirt.

coolma · 20/09/2010 17:52

Just got mine - the sweatshire does seem a bit thin, but the polo shirts look nice, I like the fluted necks! The skirt is ok, fits dd well - it's a 5-6 and she's a BIG 4!!

asdx2 · 21/09/2010 11:20

Dd fell in the playground yesterday and the cardigan now has a massive hole in the sleeve and is now unwearable Sad
Have to say I was a bit surprised as she barely has a graze on her elbow so would have expected the cardigan to be more hard wearing than it is as her tights managed to survive the fall and the scrapes on her knees are far worse.
Pretty disappointing as it's been worn twice and washed once.

aristocat · 21/09/2010 23:01

am i the only one with nothing Sad ......... what did i do?

curlywurlycremeegg · 22/09/2010 09:55

Mine still hasn't arrived either!

deemented · 22/09/2010 10:01

Well, bizzarrely i never got an email from ASDA, however i recieved a parcel with polo tops and a jumper in it the day befoer yesterday!

DS2 wore the jumper to school yesterday - fitted well, and looked very smart. However, when he got home it looked very much worse for wear - covered in mud and PVA glue Angry Shall see how it holds up to a good wash.

ln1981 · 22/09/2010 14:33

mine isnt her either...

cupofcoffee · 22/09/2010 16:22

I have got the jumper and the trousers. There was a note to say the polo shirt would be sent later.

The trousers are good. Waist fits ds well and length is fine (he has skinny waist and is tall so can be difficut to find trousers long enough but with small enough waist).

The jumper is thin compared to the school's own ones. I think it probably won't be enough when it gets to cold winter but it is probably quite useful for this sort of 'in between' weather when seasons are changing and it is a bit cold at times but not freezing.

Also with the jumper my ds is not pleased with it because it doesn't have the school logo on - I know that's not Asda's fault as no way can they stock all the different school logo shirts but as all children at our school do have logo jumpers (but mostly have shop bought polo shirts) then it would mean I would not be likely to buy the Asda jumpers as he will not wear them. They are allowed to have a jumper on for outside PE when it is cold though and so the jumper is good for that use for my ds (the school jumpers are way too thick for this).

ilovesprouts · 22/09/2010 18:23

i love my ds2 polo shirts[yellow] and black trousers they have washed well and kept there shape ,not wore green jumper as its no were near as the same colour as his school jumper and its really thin too

Tortoise · 22/09/2010 18:26

Still waiting here too!

curlywurlycremeegg · 23/09/2010 13:01

This is getting silly, post has been and nothing. Tbh ASDA are selling the uniform in most of thier branches, they have enough to fill the shelves but not to give to the testers. This is just poor logistics on ASDAs half and even if the uniform was great I would not be buying it from them as it doesn't give me much faith in their customer service.

Tortoise · 23/09/2010 13:07

Totally agree Curly! Smile
Nothing in the post for me today either. My DS2 has given up asking if it has come yet!

ln1981 · 23/09/2010 13:52

still nothing here either for me! and i agree also curly!

comewhinewithme · 23/09/2010 13:53

Nothing here either :(.

Scootergrrrl · 23/09/2010 13:55

Still nothing here and I agree with the others - this is getting silly!

aristocat · 23/09/2010 13:56

weepootle · 23/09/2010 14:54
