Asda is looking for 50 Mumsnetters to try out their Back to School uniform range. They've put in a lot of effort to make it hard-wearing, comfortable and easy to wash and iron and want to put it to the test on your child.

If you have a school-aged child or a child about to start school and would like to put the new range through its paces please add your details by clicking here.

You can select uniform for one child - we're sorry if this causes any problems for those with more than one school aged child but we wanted to ensure as many MNers as possible were able to take part.

You may select a t-shirt/ shirt pack, one trousers/ dress/ shirt and one jumper/ cardigan. The uniform will be worth up to £15.

If you are selected to test the uniform, your name, address and sizing/ clothing requirement details will be sent to Asda who will send you the uniform directly.

We will then need you and your child to try the uniform - really putting it through its paces, washing it, wearing it as usual then to add feedback on Mumsnet.

We'll want you to add feedback three times -

~ once when you first receive it

~ when it has been worn and washed once or twice and

~ lastly when it has been washed and worn a few times

Everyone who is selected for the test, and then offers three lots of feedback will be entered into a prize draw to where one winner will receive £200 of Asda vouchers.

Thanks and good luck. If selected you will be emailed confirmation and should receive uniform within 2-3 weeks.

I have to say, i'm very dissapointed. I washed DS's jumper as the label suggested and it washed awfully. It was thin to begin with but has shrunk a little and seems incredibly flat. Lots and lots of creases and seems to have puckered around neckhole and cuffs.

comewhinewithme · 28/09/2010 07:39

Nothing here either.

Have ordered from Asda before and it has always arived within 2 days Sad.

NoahAndTheWhale · 28/09/2010 10:34

So at least 10 people haven't received anything yet.

Looking back I got my email on Monday 23rd August, so just over 5 weeks ago. What are they doing with it?

ln1981 · 28/09/2010 12:25

Still nothing this morning either
!
and (at least) 10 out of 50 is quite alot of uniforms not have been posted out.

i do however like scootergrrrl's idea!! Grin

curlywurlycremeegg · 28/09/2010 13:18

I've not had mine either, starting to give up on it arriving, it really sound like the biggest mess up going when you are trying to attract customers, I do not buy the high demand excuse, how on earth could a company as large as ASDA not be able to obtain 50 sets of uniform from it's huge stock?

aristocat · 28/09/2010 13:21

nothing here today either- if it takes much longer they might as well send the next size up Grin

Tortoise · 28/09/2010 13:36

Still nothing here either. Hmm Wondering if it will ever arrive!

NoahAndTheWhale · 28/09/2010 15:09

Obviously nothing here (if there ever is you will all hear about it Grin)

bratnav · 28/09/2010 17:17

FallingWithStyle · 28/09/2010 17:21

We got ours today (and it has been with the post office for a week). Looking good - DS will be wearing it for the first time tomorrow.

NoahAndTheWhale · 29/09/2010 12:51

It's getting nearer the time when the postman comes here...

Tortoise · 29/09/2010 13:00

Well, surprise surprise! Still nothing! Angry

clayre · 29/09/2010 13:18

The pinafore came today so thats us got a full set, DD sadly will not be able to wear it as they have a dress down tomorrow and then they are off for the october hols!

HeftyNorks · 29/09/2010 13:57

DS has gone to school in his today and I have to say it looks really good on him.

Does anyone know how we are supposed to feedback?

siblingrivalry · 29/09/2010 14:30

Nothing here today either. I'm actually starting to get really annoyed about it.

NoahAndTheWhale · 29/09/2010 16:19

Guess what a neighbour just brought round?

And with a handwritten postcard by Vicky?

NoahAndTheWhale · 29/09/2010 16:22

It is a set of uniform Grin

Although there are two pairs of trousers which are not adjustable waist (as asked for) and no jumper (but if the trousers do fit then two pairs of trousers are better as DS prefers to wear school jumpers. Also two polo shirts which is always useful.

Will see if trousers fit or not

tibni · 29/09/2010 16:51

Still nothing here.

Tortoise · 29/09/2010 17:53

Glad yours arrived finally Noah Smile (Envy)!

deemented · 29/09/2010 18:11

Well, my trousers finally arrived, but they weren't the ones i asked for - i specificly didn't go for these type as they have the hook and clasp fasten and DS can't get to grips with them yet.

NoahAndTheWhale · 29/09/2010 18:20

I would have preferred that fastening (is impossible to please me Grin). Do need to see if they fit my skinny DS

AnnMumsnet · 29/09/2010 18:24

HeftyNorks - we're hoping to start the feedback thread soon.
Glad the last batches seem to be arriving.
