I’ve been chatting to someone online for the past week, we have arranged to meet tomorrow, he’s just informed me he’s uploaded another photo of himself, as his others were not very clear and quite far away, my god he’s awful, I know looks aren’t everything but I just can’t meet him, Why couldn’t he have posted this one in the first place! He just looks so scruffy with a stubbly beard which I hate, his other photos are obviously older. How do I tell him I don’t wish to meet now? I feel a right cow but I just can’t meet him.

I’m me hardly wear makeup, my photos are a true representation of me.
Can’t stand fake tan eyelashes etc, don’t even know how to use filters and don’t see the point in them anyway. So actually he’s already saw photos of how I look truthfully. Maybe I am shallow or maybe I just have preferences.

Agree that some of the replies are batshit. Also agree a man wouldn’t be worrying over how to cancel, they’d just ghost or block..! OP it’s totally fine to not want to meet him, it’s obvious he’s shit himself because he’s been using old photos so has had to upload a recent one so you at least recognise him if you did meet. If I were you I’d just send a short message saying circumstances have changed and you can’t meet. No need for any further explanation.

You seem to be under the impression that women are a single homogeneous group that all look and act the same. I hate to break it to you but we don’t. I don’t wear makeup, fake tan, lashes, spanx or push up bras. And I don’t dye my hair. And when I was OLD I used accurate photos. And I certainly would not meet with that man in OP’s case. Maybe get back to mummy’s basement?

I’ve been catfished a fair few times and even given some a chance. Might be coincidence but all of the rotters have ended up having disgusting personalities to match. One revealed he used to get his ex to dress up as a dog and eat out of a dog bowl. 😫

My pet hate on dating apps are catfishes, using photos from years ago and men who lie about their height. And no, my profile has photos of me without makeup and full body ones so I’m not catfishing anyone.
