I’ve been chatting to someone online for the past week, we have arranged to meet tomorrow, he’s just informed me he’s uploaded another photo of himself, as his others were not very clear and quite far away, my god he’s awful, I know looks aren’t everything but I just can’t meet him, Why couldn’t he have posted this one in the first place! He just looks so scruffy with a stubbly beard which I hate, his other photos are obviously older. How do I tell him I don’t wish to meet now? I feel a right cow but I just can’t meet him.

Yeah him saying he'd grown whiskers would give me instant ick. The unshaven look wouldn't have bothered me but I'm not attracted to beards at all. I would swipe past them for sure. But NEVER call them whiskers 🤮

I'll bet if most men saw you no make up they'd run a mile too OP. Women are very good at portraying themselves as different to what they are. Fake tan, eye lashes, spanx, push up bras, hair dye. Not to mention filters. It's quite deceptive. Maybe he is the kind of man that isn't so superficial and wants you to see him as he is? You could send him a picture of you as you really are to test this, if he cancels then you'll know he is also just into looks. That said, if you don't want to meet him then don't but at least admit that you are shallow and value looks above other traits and maybe narrow your searches next time.
