Boots refusing to sell canesten to men! Wtf!

Dh went to boots to buy canesten today and the sales person refused to sell it to him as he was a man! Apparently the pharmacist stepped in and he bought it.
Wtf? Surely men can get thrush or could have been buying it for someone else. It's bonkers
Apparently she said it was a boots policy!

My village chemist won’t sell me flucanazole otc anymore as he says I get thrush too much and need to see a GP. I tried pointing out I’ve taken antibiotics every day for ten years hence why I get thrush so much so I know the reason but he still won’t sell it me. I buy it from Amazon now instead!

Good grief! It was bad enough just reading the words "Giant African millipede" but I averted my eyes when it was clear a photo was being posted. I can't believe some people actually requested a photo!

Bet they’d say no. They won’t sell travel sickness pills if you say they’re for a dog!

But you can buy it at supermarkets where it's with the vitamins and health products. Just pop it in your trolley. No need to speak to an asst.
And why didn't he just say he was buying it for a woman?

@Flapjacker48 But in this case the GP was in the wrong, he was the one complaining about having to prescribe the antibiotics and saying we should have went to the pharmacy.
