Boots refusing to sell canesten to men! Wtf!

Dh went to boots to buy canesten today and the sales person refused to sell it to him as he was a man! Apparently the pharmacist stepped in and he bought it.
Wtf? Surely men can get thrush or could have been buying it for someone else. It's bonkers

Cyclizine is a P (Pharmacy only/OTC medicine).
Clotrimazole formulated and licensed for vaginal thrush is a P medicine.
Clotrimazole formulated and licensed for athlete’s foot is a GSL medicine (and is probably what Dave needed anyway).
It’s been explained upthread why there’s a difference in the need for medical oversight for the different uses.

However, if you know better than the MHRA and the healthcare professionals, crack on.

They don't need because they have an assured supply chain from approved vendors.

Did your spouse cheat on you with a pharmacist or something? People have explained repeatedly why pharmacists have to ask questions and I've said that you get the same questions online from licenced and regulated online pharmacies. Yet you keep insisting that pharmacists are obstructive, so I'm left wondering if there's a personal grudge involved.
