Just thought I'd better start a new thread for those of you who would like to see updates before the old one is totally full.

All still good here! I've been a bit low on iron but the tablets REALLY don't agree with me. So I've started just taking one in the morning with orange juice, and having a spoonful of Floridix in the afternoon and making an effort to eat spinach and red meat.
I've been feeling baby OMG moving around a lot more now he's getting bigger and stronger, which is lovely although slightly alarming at times!

We've probably got a maximum of 7 weeks to go now as I understand the drs are not keen for older mums to go much over 39 weeks. Eeeek.
Will keep you all posted.

Aw what a lovely update. My DS is 18 weeks and loves nose kisses too. The last week he has started 'talking' just goo-goo's at us for hours it's hilarious and adorable!! Can't wait to see his face with the Christmas lights.

@BeaLola I just had a look at Charles of Luxembourg and baby OMG does look a little like he did when he was smaller! He has the same ultra chubbiness.

Hi all! Yes he’s nearly 6 months old. It’s gone so fast.
We had a lovely Christmas at home, although that feels like ages ago now.

Baby OMG is still big and chubby for his age. He started rolling over and trying to crawl.
He’s also a very alert, interactive baby, which is fun, but very tiring
He is very smily and laughs a lot. There’s nothing like seeing his face break out into a big grin when he wakes up and sees me.

Ah this is where the fun starts! Baby days are cute but when they are becoming their own little person it's something special. 😍

My 2.5 year old is next to me and though I sometimes miss the early days, it's so sweet to hear him talking and to actually understand what he wants now instead of just the crying.

I took him out in the snow for the first time today. 😊

im sat imagining this thread on the 10 year update or something and thinking just how it started and where he is now and will be then! so glad for you op.and your lovely update. what a ride its been. and what a happy ending.

Aw love to see your updates. My little man just went 6 months too, it's crazy how fast the time is going. He's been rolling for weeks and does not stop moving ever. But is full of smiles. Christmas was so lovely having him to celebrate with. He loved the tree, get got him a jumperoo which he loves.

Six months has gone so fast!
I still sometimes forget for a few seconds that we have a baby, it’s so weird.

To echo what many others have said...this is the nicest, most heartwarming thread I've seen on here for a long time ❤️I'm so happy for you!

I have followed your threads since the first surprise and they are so heart warming and lovely.
I almost feel like the MN community are a family watching your little one grow up. It makes me smile that he is famous here 🥰

Maybe one day I’ll tell baby that he’s famous on Mumsnet.

He’s doing well by the way. We’ve started weaning and are doing a bit of a mix of baby led and puréed or mashed food. He’s a rather enthusiastic eater and likes to grab his spoon and feed himself. It’s so messy!

I've just read this whole thread (and the original one), all your posts OP from start to finish, and oh my goodness what a beautiful story you've shared with us so generously. It was such a privilege getting to see you go from being confused at a pregnancy test to the photo of your gorgeous baby boy! I'm so glad to read everything is still going well 😊
