Just thought I'd better start a new thread for those of you who would like to see updates before the old one is totally full.

All still good here! I've been a bit low on iron but the tablets REALLY don't agree with me. So I've started just taking one in the morning with orange juice, and having a spoonful of Floridix in the afternoon and making an effort to eat spinach and red meat.
I've been feeling baby OMG moving around a lot more now he's getting bigger and stronger, which is lovely although slightly alarming at times!

We've probably got a maximum of 7 weeks to go now as I understand the drs are not keen for older mums to go much over 39 weeks. Eeeek.
Will keep you all posted.

What a gorgeous read this was. I can't sleep so I had a look at mumsnet classic posts and came across this. Congratulations OP. He's beautiful.

Congratulations on your lovely son. He’s beautiful. This is one Mumsnet thread I’ve loved coming back to to hear your updates 💐

Comeshinewithme · 20/08/2022 20:25

Another de-lurker here to say a huge congratulations, OP, on the birth of your beautiful boy, and to thank you for sharing your lovely story (and photograph) with us all.

Omgwhatthehell · 14/09/2022 13:49

Hi everyone. I’m just hanging out with baby OMG and thought it might be nice to let you all know that things are still going well.

He is seven weeks old today. He is rapidly piling on weight and is quite the chubster now!
He started smiling about two weeks ago, and we are absolutely loving seeing him smile and interact with his toys, us and the world around him.
We’re getting out and about more and more. I took him to see the floral tributes for the Queen earlier this week, even though he obviously won’t remember it!

Thanks again for all of your lovely posts and congratulations, I really appreciate it.

Soak it up! Everyone always tells you that the tiny baby stage flies by. Sometimes it doesn’t feel like it but it’s true. Enjoy! ❤️

mauveyviolet · 15/09/2022 08:04

Enjoy it OP. Loved reading your entire thread. How wonderful for you and what a beautiful baby.

YouDoIDo · 17/11/2022 12:56

I’m just sat on my lunch break reading your thread and crying 😢 I’m so happy for you hope you and little OMG are doing well xx

Omgwhatthehell · 22/11/2022 04:52

Hi @YouDoIDo I’m just doing a night feed and saw your post Smile
Hopefully you’ll be pleased to hear that baby OMG is thriving. He’s quite a chunky boy, with big leg rolls.
He’s coming up to 16 weeks now. He’s definitely been going through a developmental stage as he’s been a bit grumpy and clingy, but hopefully we seem to be coming out the other side of that.
DH and I are l loving watching his personality develop. He loves to be kissed on his nose, and to be “flown” around face down, supported on one of our arms like a chubby plane.

did everyone in the families take it well, been supportive?

heldinadream · 22/11/2022 09:27

Love your description of his chunkiness OP! He sounds like he's doing really well, as do you. Happy days with your little boy. 💗

Nottogetapenny · 22/11/2022 13:24

What a lovely update. So pleased everything is going well. What a lovely Christmas you will have with your little family!

OliveWah · 22/11/2022 16:02

@Omgwhatthehell -I've been following from the start, but have NC'd. It's lovely to hear the Omgwhatthehell family are all doing well, I can't believe it's nearly a year since you first posted that pic of your test!

Omgwhatthehell · 22/11/2022 16:34

Gosh @OliveWah it is nearly a year isn’t it?! That’s crazy.

@kateandme our families are over the moon with him. My brother seems to have Precious First Nephew syndrome and thinks he’s a little genius showing signs of being very intelligent haha! Grin

@Nottogetapenny we are going to see family and friends around Christmas but plan to spend the actual day at home as a little family, which will be perfect.
