Obviously not BBQ, fire pit, children, tree houses, pools, climbing frames, footballs, bonfires, low fences, music, parties,DIY , lawn mowing, extensions, cats, dogs, have I missed anything? Wouldn't want to piss off anyone within 50 miles of me.

I'm just wondering where the 24% YABU posts are?

Anna727b · 16/06/2021 18:48

@Sweetpea1532, me for one! I actually agree with most of the 'I'm so irritated with my neighbours using their garden' threads! I should really live in the countryside in a very detached house but can't. We have nice neighbours who are mostly quiet apart from the occasional dog bark and apart from their kids/grandkids playing and I just hate any and all neighbour noise!

Sweetpea1532 · 16/06/2021 18:52

Wait @Anna727b
So are you saying the OP is being unreasonable or not unreasonable ?
I'm dyslexic so I may have the whole thread confusedBlush

Don't put your recycling out too early or too late

I rushed out the door the other morning and didn't have time to put the recycling bin away from the end of my path that had been collected 5 minutes earlier. On returning from work later that day the bin had been placed very passively aggressively on my door step. The bin area is just few steps to the side of where they left it

cocoloco987 · 16/06/2021 19:05

You mustn't have outdoor sofas. It's very common. I learned this on a thread last summer

Not in their gardens.
Toomuchtrouble4me · 16/06/2021 20:04

Great! So you can wander naked and have a shag!

Anna727b · 16/06/2021 23:31

@Sweetpea1532

Oh so I think it's

YABU- you are being unreasonable about this whole topic- it's totally fine that mumsnetters are constantly complaining about their neighbours breathing in their gardens.

YANBU- mumsnetters complain too much about their neighbours' garden activities- no one can do anything without upsetting someone!

Sweetpea1532 · 17/06/2021 06:02

@DrSbaitso
🤣
Clever!

Sweetpea1532 · 17/06/2021 06:07

@Anna727b

I am still a bit confused...are you saying you vote for a bit of both?Grin which is perfectly okSmile

BBOA · 17/06/2021 07:08

Talk. You must not talk, let alone laugh.

AnneKipanki · 17/06/2021 07:57

@DrSbaitso Grin

FrangipaniBlue · 17/06/2021 09:41

How very dare you talk about your garden OP!!! Think about all those people who don't have a garden!!! Check your privilege.

AnneKipanki · 17/06/2021 11:56

You can look at your NDN ugly fence posts that are on your side but you can’t complain about them .

AnneKipanki · 17/06/2021 12:03

You can maybe do this

Just checking what I can actually do in my garden
MoonCatcher · 17/06/2021 13:03

@AnneKipanki

You can maybe do this
Absolutely not!! I expect people to communicate with me only by post, email or text. No unsolicited visits, and that includes knocking on the door and peering over my fence. And I don't give my personal contact details to neighbours ever, as that is crossing boundaries between neighbour and friend. If a neighbour touched my side of the fence while peering over it to say hello I would class that as criminal damage and/or harassment and log it with 101 immediately.
AnneKipanki · 17/06/2021 13:23

😂 @MoonCatcher

HOkieCOkie · 17/06/2021 13:37

Try not to breathe too loudly.

DdraigGoch · 17/06/2021 13:43

Don't let your dog poke frozen deer legs under the fence.

AnneKipanki · 17/06/2021 13:48

😂 I remember that one @DdraigGoch

DdraigGoch · 17/06/2021 14:08

Don't sunbathe topless.

The woman next door says that it's distracting her husband.

AnneKipanki · 17/06/2021 15:25

Or blocking out the light 😂

Sweetpea1532 · 17/06/2021 16:15

@AnneKipanki
😂😂😂

StarlightLady · 18/06/2021 07:03

@DdraigGoch - I mow the lawn topless!

MellyFluous · 18/06/2021 07:48

Mustn't use the garden when isolating because one of the family actually has covid.... yes you can! (Unless you live in Guernsey, I gather, when even the cat has to be kept in.)

A thread was started on just this, yesterday afternoon "Neighbours pis*ed off we're in our garden when isolating"
