I've put privacy film on the front room windows and he can't watch the world go by any more. He's sulking.

I won't let my cat on my knee while I'm at my desk. He's sulking by sitting on the cables on the floor. He won't look at me.

I was laughing about something I read and Micky is sulking now

I dared to go into my bedroom to put clothes away whilst he was having a nap, I got an evil look so I retreated back downstairs, he's still there so I haven't been able to make the bed yet.

Sweep is 17 and arthritic. I noticed the other day that her back end has become matted and every time I attempt to brush her, I get hissed at. Today,I gathered my courage, pinned her onto my lap, cut out all the matted bits and then brushed out what was left. I was hissed and growled at and fully expect to be persona non grata for the rest of the day. Ds is home from uni and she's gone to be comforted and spoiled by him. I'm definitely going to be killed in my sleep!

hotcrossbunn · 03/04/2021 19:08

I stopped him from biting MIL's hand as it dangled temptingly above his nose as she sat in the front garden.

Secretly I'm very proud of his character judgement...

😂

I cleaned the house. He's not impressed.

I put frontline on her, she cowered then went outside to sulk in the garden.

This evening I was winding up a plug extension and, I regret to say, I walked past him whilst doing it.

Strangekindofwoman · 03/04/2021 23:49

I bought him an off the floor cat feeder. He was disgusted and ran off upstairs and hid under the bed.

QueenPaw · 03/04/2021 23:51

@coastergirl how dare you?! Also we have the same cushion

TheFluffiestCat · 03/04/2021 23:56

I rejected his Easter gift and made him take it back out through the cat flap. It was very kind of him, but the only mice I eat are the chocolate variety.

Mumdiva99 · 04/04/2021 08:38

I put flea/worming treatment on the back of her neck yesterday. She licked a drop and hates me. Then last night she was on my daughters bed looking like she was dying....she was layer like a sausage and ignored me when I went in. I was so worried (first time cat mum....I wasn't sure if she was so relaxed and happy or dying) I bothered her till she got up and moved. The kids announced she was playing dead to ignore me.....I think they were right. She still isn't talking to me this morning.....no eye contact, no purr when I fed her, moves away if I try to stroke her.....

Chemenger · 04/04/2021 08:45

I have the aftermath of a frozen shoulder which is still painful and I’ve just had my covid vaccination in the same arm. I’ve spent what seems like most of the night arguing that perched on my shoulder is not the best place to sleep.

coastergirl · 04/04/2021 09:05

@QueenPaw I know, I'm a terrible person!

Great taste in cushions! My house is full of Potter stuff.

MalibuandOrange · 04/04/2021 09:08

I'm back with another one... I brought a mouse that hangs off the door and squeaks for my cats. One cat has played with it constantly whilst the other two look on sad and jealous they haven't had a turn, ones even growled over it. 😂 they have 100s of toys but they all want to play with the same thing. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/04/2021 09:17

You should have bought 3 hanging mice, then none of them would have played with them.

idiotcat is mad that I gave him and his sister breakfast and then was still in the kitchen to cover the last half of hers so he couldn't have second breakfast...she prefers to graze, he likes to eat all the things always.

He is also mad that I have a new chair (second hand) quarantining in the spare bedroom...the sock basket is also in there which is his current favourite snooze-venue.

The chair is quarantining so that he does not pee on it as it is a stranger and because I gave it a good going over with upholstery cleaner and want it to be safe just in case.
HIs hobby is to pee on strange things.
If I move the sock basket that will also be wrong.

He is also a bit cross that I left the kitchen door open, this means he has unfettered access outside via the porch window and is unable to harass anyone in the kitchen into opening the door for him so that he can pretend he never actually wanted the door open or to go out, like EVER

Soubriquet · 04/04/2021 09:52

I’m gong to seriously piss my cat off later....she’s got a smelly bottom which means she’s got a Klingon on there somewhere

Got to pin her down to chop it off.

Kotatsu · 04/04/2021 09:58

Mine is strangely OK with me pulling at the matts on the backs of his legs every time he comes up for a stroke (I do get a yowl, but he comes straight back again), but when I wasn't quick enough to remove the poo from the big cat litter box (he has 2 more litter trays I might add, which are exclusively used for wee, plus the wide outdoors)

He protested by weeing on a carrier bag left behind the settee, which I didn't notice until that evening (having been wandering around the house wondering where the smell was coming from). I suppose I should be grateful that at least he weed on something so it's easy to clean up.

My late cat used to use carrier bags to wee on if left around.. thought was due to age 18+

Won't share the story of the cardboard box left on its side for a while and the delight that awaited me when I very manually flattened it for recycling 🤢

@Lellochip

That’s a dragon.
PissTestRightNowDaniella · 04/04/2021 10:30

I had the audacity to shut her out of the bedroom last night in order to prevent her stomping on my head at three in the morning, hence allowing me (just for once) to get a full nights sleep.

She may never get over this.

LovelaceBiggWither · 04/04/2021 10:45

Mine brought me a baby snake and was most surprised that I took the snake outside.

He's still looking for the snake 2 weeks later.
