I've put privacy film on the front room windows and he can't watch the world go by any more. He's sulking.

We decided we didn't need the heating on today so he's sitting on a sheepskin rug next to a cold radiator.

DH removed a blackbird from DCat's jaws before he had had a chance to chomp it. The bird flew away and DCat sulked in the playhouse outside.

IrenetheQuaint · 31/03/2021 22:08

Shocking scenes here. After many weeks of the cat having me entirely to herself, my best friend/support bubble has come to visit. The cat is incredibly unimpressed and keeps coming into the sitting room where we are watching telly, glowering at us and leaving again.

JorisBonson · 31/03/2021 22:28

I callously went to work.

RestingPandaFace · 31/03/2021 22:33

I had the audacity to put their favourite bowls in the dishwasher and serve dinner in their second favourite bowls.
Then as if I wasn’t a cheeky enough slave I wouldn’t let them eat my dinner as well as theirs.

blametheparents · 31/03/2021 22:43

@ImInACage

I dared to give him his usual tea time wet food, instead of the dry food he was clearly wanting. He's currently pawing at the ground next to his bowl and shooting me evils in protest.
Well, we’ve run out of wet food so kitty has only had dry food! We should’ve swapped!

More devastation here, I refused to let DNinjaCat go and snooze in next door's conservatory while I was chatting to next door's human. Mainly because 1) it isn't her house and 2) a biggish dog lives there 😂 she's only just forgiven me...

This thread is making me smile a lot :)

popspops · 01/04/2021 03:24

It's hot in my bedroom so I have the cooling fan on, thus rendering dcat's favourite sleeping place unsuitable. dcat is staging an occupation of the bathroom in protest even though the tiles are cold Confused

Chemenger · 01/04/2021 12:18

We disagree on the rules of "fetch", played with a hair bobble. I think I should throw it, she chases it and brings it back. She thinks I should throw it, watch her chase it then I should go and pick it up, bring it back to my desk and throw it again. She's gone off to sulk on the heated bathroom floor in disgust.

Gingernaut · 01/04/2021 12:32

That evening the cat was not herself. She was off her food, and lying around looking uncomfortable. I called the support line with our insurance. They weren’t happy because of all the chemical stuff we had been using.

So off to the emergency vets we went. Several blood tests and hundreds of pounds later we were told that she was sulking. Because of the new roof.

Sorry, but that had me laughing out loud for real. Grin

toffeebutterpopcorn · 01/04/2021 12:45

The large vets bill was probably just as added bonus to her. They really can be evil little sods...

Crikeymalikey · 01/04/2021 12:48

I opened a tin.... it was soup.

Gingernaut · 01/04/2021 12:52

After Googling "cats plotting murder", I came across this from Forbes

Apparently all cats, even the maulers like lions, tigers and Scottish Wildcats, share the same personality traits.

Comforting.

EachandEveryone · 01/04/2021 14:10

I dont know what I did really. Except for shut my bedroom door last night I was so exhausted i didnt even wake up for the loo which wouldve been their opportunity to get onto my bed. I stepped onto a huge turd outside my bed room door this morning. I have three litter trays 🤔

autumnboys · 01/04/2021 14:22

I foresee some sulking when DS3 takes his Nintendo switch back.

I laughed when AlfonsoCat fell off the sofa during a vigorous washing session and then put the laptop on top of him when he got back on the sofa.

My dogs are terrified of my cat and she knows it. She has taken to sitting beside the dogs’ water bowl = obviously planning their demise by dehydration
sashh · 02/04/2021 05:44

I don't know what I've done as I was asleep, or trying to, things kept being pushed of the drawers in the bedroom.

Silkiescat · 02/04/2021 08:05

Not me but Silkiecat has just woken up and DH isn't awake Sad

DontWannaBeObamasElf · 02/04/2021 08:16

Not letting her outside by herself. We live near a main road and part of the adoption agreement is so keep her indoors but lately she's been wanting out so I compromised with her by supervising her outdoor time. Now she meows at the door all day Sad

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/04/2021 08:26

Can you cat proof the garden @DontWannaBeObamasElf?.

DontWannaBeObamasElf · 02/04/2021 08:30

I'm not sure, I've started looking into it. Husband flat out refuses to entertain a catio. I've seen those anti-jump things but out fences are quite low and she'd no doubt manage to squeeze under the gate! The other cats in the street manage to roam around unscathed but I'd just be worried that she wouldn't come home through accident or getting lost.

Cowbells · 02/04/2021 08:34

I didn't unlock the front door for him to go out because I had a cup of tea in each hand. Disgraceful.

elfycat · 02/04/2021 08:35

We have a 'cone of shame' situation to stop DCat from scratching the top off her abscess (bite) scab - again. It's on her neck and she's scratched more of hr skin raw than the original injury.

She can have it off if supervised, and on the rest of the time.

I am not in her good books.

Strangekindofwoman · 02/04/2021 08:35

Vet visit yesterday. So I expect at least a week of sulks and evil glares.
