I've put privacy film on the front room windows and he can't watch the world go by any more. He's sulking.

We've got roofers here. One went off outside growling, the other retreated to the back of the settee growling!

Jaxhog · 30/03/2021 10:41

I shut the bedroom door. Now he can't go in there, decide he doesn't want to sleep on the bed today, and then walk out. Multiple times.

Toddlerteaplease · 30/03/2021 10:48

@StanfordPines the sulking cat made me laugh out loud. But I bet it was a Relief!

ChequerBoard · 30/03/2021 10:49

Brand new scratching post installed today. After an initial period of disdain, DCat2 and DCat3 have i so eye it and realised that it has actually just been pit in place as a set of cat steps to ear access to the top of dresser and to enable DCat3 (not the brightest) to sit in the wall light.

His Lordship remains aloof and is maintaining his disdain of the nouveau scratching post.

But that’s not a scratching post. It’s a handy step to get on top of the bookcase so they can survey their domain and launch aerial attacks when you aren’t paying them enough attention.

CongealedCrags · 30/03/2021 13:25

LysistrataVickers There was a cat looking just as annoyed as yours that our local cat rehoming group was trying to get rid of ASAP find a home for but in every photo they had of her she looked as if she was plotting revenge for something, or just being evil. For months they were making posts about "still trying to find her forever home" including photos of her looking murderous.

GloriousGoosebumps · 30/03/2021 16:51

@Piggypiggyoinkoink hehehe. That's a timely warning as she has to have a dose each day until it runs out! She's been known to give her big brother a cuff around the ears when he tries to groom her so she's not afraid to make her views known. Just so long as she doesn't pack her little suitcase and leave home!

sunflowersandbuttercups · 30/03/2021 18:14

We ran out of cat biscuits. I got a smack on the ankle for that one Grin

SeeSawSeen · 30/03/2021 18:29

Love all our spoiled overlords and their foibles...this is the thread I never knew I needed in my lifeGrin

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/03/2021 18:56

I love how a minor inconvenience is a major problem to them requiring sulking and possibly treats but it’s ok for them to harass us for food at 5am.

Mia184 · 30/03/2021 20:22

I have a rooftop terrace and usually put out some unsalted peanuts for the two blackbirds that come here a few times every day.
I was sitting there today with Micky for about 2 hours when the two birds came over looking for a peanut dinner so I picked her up and we went inside. She is still ignoring me.

MaidEdithofAragon · 30/03/2021 20:26

Got up and fed him at 5am as he was shrieking ridiculously at the bedroom door, put down kibble, gave pouch of wet food, filled up water. As I put down the water my wrist touched his ear and disturbed him eating. I got a yowl and a smack and a day long huff for that.

purrswhileheeats · 30/03/2021 21:11

I put poor Rosie OUTSIDE this afternoon. In the horrible sunshine Hmm She had to cry and wail at the window, the little mite...

Mine has been standoffish with me all day, I've no idea what I've done wrong but im feeling quite rejected :/

Toddlerteaplease · 30/03/2021 22:26

Took mine to the cattery. They love it there. And they have a pen overlooking the duck house on the pond. They are also the I my guests in. And their favourite member of staff is in attendance to tend to their every whim. They will not be pleased to see me. They never are. Home does not have ducks chickens and horses to watch.

lowbudgetnigella · 30/03/2021 22:28

Moved slightly to reach my cup of tea whilst he sat on me . Dried my hair.

PferdeMerde · 30/03/2021 22:33

I wouldn’t let her eat her brother’s dinner. Poor (overweight) girl didn’t get a 2nd dinner tonight 😿

ILikeTheWineNotTheLabel · 30/03/2021 22:35

He meowed at me TWICE and I didn’t pet him. So now I am not allowed to pet him as I obviously cannot be trusted.

UnderHisAye · 30/03/2021 22:40

I touched a carrier bag while he was eating.

He stalked off in protest and is probably hungry under a bush somewhere.

He's a furry idiot.

KikoMiko · 30/03/2021 22:53

Let her Ladyship out of the front door as she requested. She then promptly jumped up on the lounge window sill and meowed to be let back in less than 30 seconds later. I ignored her for an hour until it was her dinner time and then opened the front door. She wouldn't come in.

I should point out that had she walked around to the back of the house, she could have got in through the car flap at any point, but that wouldn't have inconvenienced me though would it?

Walesrecommendations · 30/03/2021 23:01

Opened a tin of spaghetti and she came haring in from the garden thinking it was tuna time Sad felt so bad I had to accidentally pour a generous amount of dreamies out in front of her.

SakuraEdenSwan1 · 30/03/2021 23:04

By stopping her pinching Chicken from my sons plate when he went to the toilet, she was persistent I will give her that!

SakuraEdenSwan1 · 30/03/2021 23:06

@Newkitty

I let her out. Then I let her in again. Then I let her out again. Then she had to wait a millisecond or two before I let her in again. Outrageous.
Hahaha, cats just do this because they know it will annoy us. I leave my patio door open for this reason because my cat loves pissing both the dogs off on either garden next to us, runs in acting all innocent just to go straight back to do more of the same Grin
margotsdevil · 30/03/2021 23:07

Rearranged the front room. Before Christmas. She still won't forgive us because she can no longer sit and watch the birds from a particular seat. Instead she sits next to where that seat was and looks at us indignantly waiting for us to move the seat back for her...

heymammy · 30/03/2021 23:11

I made him wait by the backdoor before letting him out.

I made him wait on the windowsill before letting him back in.

Later on

I made him wait on the driveway before letting him in.

I am a constant disappointment.
