I've put privacy film on the front room windows and he can't watch the world go by any more. He's sulking.

I made a roadrunner style “meep meep” noise in the kitchen at about 5pm. DEvilCat is still sulking in the hallway.

LagganBubble · 29/03/2021 21:16

I was such a spoil sport because I cut short her cat bum hole to camera session with my work colleagues.

Cleverpolly3 · 29/03/2021 21:19

My three overindulged madams are all sat by the fridge waiting not so patiently for some sliced chicken. Some squeaks and squawking and head butting the backs of my legs as I load the dishwasher
When they find out the dog has had the last of it I’ll be in the wheelie bin.

Hell hath no fury

Preservethewood · 29/03/2021 21:19

I’ve just turfed her off my heat pad. She doesn’t get period pains, my need is greater. She clawed the armchair in protest

Mumsgirls · 29/03/2021 21:19

He put a dead mouse at my feet, I thanked him and binned it when he was not looking. Then he could not find the mouse! How dare I?

AwkwardSquad · 29/03/2021 21:23

I went away for two whole nights and left her with the second-best human. She roamed the house yowling, apparently. When I got back, I was expecting her to be pleased but I said hello to her too enthusiastically and she fucked off over the fence.

SassenachWitch · 29/03/2021 21:26

I’ve managed to upset a neighbours cat as well as my own.

Neighbours cat was upset with being locked in our garage overnight, hence the dirty protest.

My cat was upset that I dared let another cat anywhere near her territory, and has spent all day on guard, in garage doorway, hissing at anyone that dares approach the garage door.

Started the day thinking I was a hero for returning the missing cat.

spurs4ever · 29/03/2021 21:26

I didn't chase away the big bully cat from down the road. Unforgivable.

Howtomakeevery1 · 29/03/2021 21:32

The sun went in whilst she was sunbathing - I should have tilted the earth for her

StanfordPines · 29/03/2021 22:09

I came indoor. I could hear her yowling from the bottom of the garden. If I go out she ignores me.

autumnboys · 29/03/2021 22:18

Congratulations, @HarleyQuinn21 - they will get over it in due course.

Had a workman in today doing some tiling. The absolute nerve of it.

QueenPaw · 29/03/2021 23:09

Ollie is now fuming as I won't open the window. At 11pm. To let him (a black cat) go and play on the road. In the dark
I wonder why(!)
The little brat thinks he's funny using the zebra crossing Blush he waits for it to be clear before he uses it

Furries · 30/03/2021 00:36

I had left the conservatory door propped open for him. Not good enough - he was sat outside the kitchen door shouting to be let in. The doors are about 10 dainty kitty steps apart 😂

Kittensat36 · 30/03/2021 04:56

I am keeping Her Majesty awake laughing at this thread. She has 3/4 of the sweet spot in the bed, so she's barely tolerating me.

mathanxiety · 30/03/2021 05:28

Dcat had a bad day today.

DD4's friend appeared at the kitchen door early - they were going out for a walk. Dcat hissed at her.

Later DD3 had to use her laptop for online university classes and lifted Dcat off the keyboard. Cat bit her. Later, after sitting glaring at DD for 45 minutes, cat shoved DD's book off the table and tried to bite DD again when DD picked it up. DD reckons Dcat must have thought they had an agreed schedule for using the keyboard and DD had messed it up.

StanfordPines · 30/03/2021 08:08

The talk of workmen having the nerve to come in and work reminded me of this.

Our house has an odd layout due to being on a slope. We have a garden room built up against the house but because the house at the back is so high it is a storey below the house. The cat flap goes through a hole in the kitchen wall and comes out in the roof space of the garden room. The cat then goes down shelves to go outside through a second cat flap.

The roof on the garden room needed replacing and we did it ourselves with help of said cat. There were all sorts of chemicals and such used to seal it and the like.
That evening the cat was not herself. She was off her food, and lying around looking uncomfortable. I called the support line with our insurance. They weren’t happy because of all the chemical stuff we had been using.

So off to the emergency vets we went. Several blood tests and hundreds of pounds later we were told that she was sulking. Because of the new roof.

StanfordPines · 30/03/2021 08:09

Here she is on her shelves.

Mumsgirls · 30/03/2021 08:47

Standard pines, that made me laugh out loud. I spent hundreds on tests last year to find out nothing wrong with my lord and master. It amuses me that cats can get instant blood test results while us inferiors have to wait a week

Dundustin · 30/03/2021 08:51

What a glorious sulking cat @StanfordPines Your post made me laugh.

SummerOfComedy · 30/03/2021 08:55

Had to wash his favourite cushions cover - it was filthy. Now I he refuses to sleep on it. Doesn't smell (stinky) right to him any more.

I'm trying to get the dog to roll around on it make it smell again.

😼

25yearsnhsworker · 30/03/2021 09:01

I cut the waitrose chicken breast into pieces that were too big for his delicate 18 month old mouth!!

AlfonsoTheTerrible · 30/03/2021 09:48

stanfordpines, that made me laugh! And you, too, SummerOfComedy. What we do for our felines overlords, eh.

AlfonsoTheTerrible · 30/03/2021 09:49

And your poor daughter, mathanxiety. But, to be fair, she should stick to the schedule. Smile

Tyresmanc · 30/03/2021 09:59

Dd ate chicken for dinner last night. Dcat does not like chicken yet gets upset with me if Dd kindly gives her a little bit.

QueenPaw · 30/03/2021 10:36

Today he's sulking as he has wet paws. Not sure how that's my fault but...
