Next door's -thug- cat

Has started coming in our house and stealing cat food.
Our cats dislike him. (understatement...)
Once he's in it's a problem removing him because he growls, hisses and then attacks us (launches at our legs etc).
He spends an inordinate amount of time in our garden or staring in through the French windows. Any suggestion how to gently discourage him? I have no intention of having outside doors shut for the whole summer.
Enclosed a picture of him sitting on our outside table.

Please relax everyone - TC is in no danger.

Thought I'd better clarify a few points though.

1 - TC is NOT MY CAT
2 - That is not my swimming pool.

More importantly. the cover is held in side and end runners, the weight of a cat will definitely not collapse it and there is no open edge to the cover (my NDN is not daft).

Mind you I'm quite amused by being held responsible for my NDN's cat when he's sitting in NDN's house on the cover of NDN's inside swimming pool.

I know TC is not your cat . It is just that the thought of ...

saltysally · 03/12/2019 21:46

Considering TC looks like the most neglected cat ever, his owner (not Grumpy I know) is hardly going to let him come back to harm...

Obviously none of this would be an issue if you just accepted the inevitable and simply let him in your house Grin

YetAnotherSpartacus · 04/12/2019 09:53

Deep down we all know he is your cat :)

AllYouGoodGoodPeople · 04/12/2019 13:26

Yeah imagine how happy he would look all curled up on your sofa with all your cats snuggled up next to him....

Nonstopbuttmachine · 04/12/2019 14:33

...not forgetting a place setting at your table for Christmas dinner 😻

Supersimkin2 · 04/12/2019 17:00

Sorry Grumpy - guilty as charged. Grin

TC is of course Not Your Cat. But it takes a village....

... as we believe you may, whether you like it or not, be aware of. Grin

AnniePankettonne · 05/12/2019 14:27

At 934 posts this is getting towards the 1K. I have asked for it to go into Classics . I got a note back saying it goes to a Classic Consideration meeting .

Nonstopbuttmachine · 05/12/2019 14:42

I love the notion of TC being no. 1 on the agenda in the very serious Classics Consideration Meeting and the MNHQ panel casting their votes Grin

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 05/12/2019 15:47

I'm very flattered to think that the epic saga of TC is going to be considered within the hallowed walls of the MN Star Chamber Grin.
Followers of TC may not be aware that he has been around for far longer than the duration of this thread.
Enclosed are some pictures from April 2018 when he first became aware of the new kittens. His M.O. hasn't changed much.

"that kitten would make an excellent meal"

YetAnotherSpartacus · 05/12/2019 18:39

Nooooooo!!! TC just wants kitten kisses.

BovaryX · 06/12/2019 06:03

TC’s shenanigans and his determined attempt to breach Feline Nirvana next door really deserves official recognition....

nettie434 · 08/12/2019 04:52

I think TC does really realise deep down that he can’t really colonise Feline Nirvana Next Door but it would be very damaging for his self esteem not to make it to Classics. I first discovered The Litter Tray when this thread was trending in ‘Active’. Now I wait eagerly for news of TC’s activities.

AnniePankettonne · 08/12/2019 09:49

I joined really late . I always look forward to an update.

7Worfs · 08/12/2019 10:12

Same. And Grumpy really knows how to take action photos Xmas Smile

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 08/12/2019 14:53

Fun and games in the grumpy household this afternoon. Opened the front door and a vole (undoubtedly a cat refugee) ran in. Took 20 minutes to catch him, and then I walked him down the road to release him well away from the cats.
On my return TC was by the front door with a dead mouse trying to get in.
No action shots this time I'm afraid - just a couple of him leaving the premises - having left his dead mouse behind. (Thanks!)

YetAnotherSpartacus · 08/12/2019 22:48

He’s leaving you gifts :).

Hey, well done on saving the poor little chap. TC may be savage, but he really is a handsome devil. Look at those stripes! For glamour alone, this thread deserves recognition in the Hall of Feline Fame....,

Supersimkin2 · 09/12/2019 08:28

The dead mouse is TC's Deliveroo treat to his favourite human.

He wants to eat it with you watching netflix.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/12/2019 08:46

I can imagine the poor little mite thinking “maybe if they accept my humble offering they will accept me”. It’s all very Christmassy and ‘no room at the inn’ and all that.

Supersimkin2 · 09/12/2019 09:44

Just a helpless scrap of fur hoping for love.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 09/12/2019 09:45

What would Jesus do?
