Next door's -thug- cat

Has started coming in our house and stealing cat food.
Our cats dislike him. (understatement...)
Once he's in it's a problem removing him because he growls, hisses and then attacks us (launches at our legs etc).
He spends an inordinate amount of time in our garden or staring in through the French windows. Any suggestion how to gently discourage him? I have no intention of having outside doors shut for the whole summer.
Enclosed a picture of him sitting on our outside table.

He's kissing you! How sweet :)

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 28/10/2019 11:56

Spartacus
Our ideas of kissing are clearly at variance with each other Grin.
Actually sinking his bloody teeth in my hand.

Oh dear. Were there mitigating circumstances perchance?

WaningGibbous · 28/10/2019 12:03

You must have asked for it. Even if you didn't realise it. Either that or he's just exceptionally hungry. Certainly not very repentant about it.

Did you need stitches?

7Worfs · 28/10/2019 12:06

Those live update photos as the attack progressed, and his face - priceless Grin

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 28/10/2019 13:11

This was him just prior to jumping onto the barbeque. He still wanders round looking as if he owns the place.

And Spartacus 'mitigating circumstances'? What are you suggesting? Grin

Did you rub tuna all over your arm? Call him fat?

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 28/10/2019 13:29

Call him fat?

Might have done Grin

He was licking his lips , yummy 😋 looking hand !
Thanks for the update.

PotterHead1985 · 29/10/2019 01:51

Oh my. I have just found and read this whole thread and I am in love and invested in the Grumpy family/NDN/TC story. Moar updates.

Also did it ever make it to classics?

Well you were rather holding your hand like prey - did you want a good mauling?

Nonstopbuttmachine · 30/10/2019 22:01

Erm. I'm abroad and pissed. I've found a Maltese TC. Fat tabby fucker who attacks everyone Shock

I only came to MN a couple of days ago and stumbled upon this thread. The story of TC and his shenanigans is epic. His determined efforts to leave his canine household and establish himself in the feline idyll next door has been told with much humour and I suspect a great deal of love for TC. Does he know about his fan club on this forum? Looking forward to more pictures of this superb cat!

The Met police have lost their 5 year old Bengal. He looks totally unimpressed in that photo. Hope he turns up soon and isn't just another victim of the Bengal 5 year itch.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 31/10/2019 18:43

Worryingly the report of the missing Bengal above is not too far from me.
I'll report back if TC brings a friend round.

Nonstop - enjoy your holiday - love your Maltese TC Grin

WaningGibbous · 01/11/2019 13:27

I didn't think TC was the friend making type Grin

Nonstopbuttmachine · 01/11/2019 20:29

Oh, I completely forgot I posted that the other night! I blame jet lag and strong cocktails 😂

Maltese TC was awesome, he patrolled the terrace looking fabulous then savaged women and children who had the temerity to stroke him Shock

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 02/11/2019 15:34

Another TC pic (provided by NDN) for your delight and delectation.

Curiously I was round at NDN's earlier and Lennie was sitting very happily in their front drive as if he owned the place.

That picture looks like an accident waiting to happen...

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 07/11/2019 14:28

Having not seen TC around for a few days I just looked out of the patio doors and got the strangest feeling of deja vu.

That is a look of intent .

7Worfs · 07/11/2019 15:07

That look... I would’ve cracked and let him in

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/11/2019 15:59

He wants you to think he's been hiding because of the fireworks (what with being a sensitive little flower ) but he's probably been grounded by NDN and only just been given Day Release .

My two cats chase NDN cat from their garden and I am guilty of silently cheering them " That's my boy , you show him"

NDN cat has been used to strolling through (and using as a toilet) but No More . My two have taken the baton and are well protective of their little patch of Engand .
Though I do accept (and warn them) if they go off trespassing* , then they do it at their own risk !

  • I know , cats cannot trespass what with them being above the Law .
WaningGibbous · 07/11/2019 19:24

He doesn't look very happy with you. No eye contact but very clearly making a point.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 08/11/2019 08:26

He looks sad and friendless. Poor TC :(
