I don't know if this is the right thing to do, and I'm so sorry if not.

catthiefkeith passed away today.

I know there are mumsnetters who know her know how amazing she is, and I just wanted to raise a glass to her memory on here, where she brought a smile to so many faces with her stories of her mad life.

Rest in peace lovely lady.

Fuck. This really hit me like a punch in the stomach. I wasn't an rl friend of CTK's, but I do remember being on many a thread talking about having a DH (in my case, DP) who worked weekend nights. Her DH and my DP are in similar lines of work.

She was so witty, and lovely, and vibrant. For me, she was part of the fabric of MN. It will be a much less happy, funny place without her.

For those of you who knew her in RL - I'm so sorry for your loss. And please give my love and support to her DH and DD.

Just devastated to learn about CTK, she was articulate and witty in the written word, warm and wise in person- an amazing lady and the world is darker without her in it. Xoxo

I remember CTK'S posts about the tiny puppy in her office Serf.

I'm on holiday and after a Carry On like situation I have finally got a bottle of wine and a candle lit for CatThiefKeith.

Always loved reading CTK's stories and tales. MN will be a quieter place without her 😔

This is so sad, I hope there is some way to pass on this thread to her DP perhaps? Such a witty yet dry witted poster, I always paused for thought during her posts wondering "seriously"?! But they were always serious!

Oh goodness Serf you've got me reminiscing now! I remember Keith's "being hung over at work" thread as one of the funniest I ever read - that makes me sound like a proper sadist but it's just the way she told it! Was the "horrible boss' ridiculous house for sale" thread one of Keith's too?

Well that is utterly shit. I read the opening post then started scrolling with my mouth just hanging open in shock.

I remember the sleeping on the balcony on holiday one, then waking up with the manky cat, the original cat stealing incident.
God, how utterly awful for her poor poor family.

I'd like to contribute to whatever.. though please don't do a biscuit in flowers, they look like bumholes.

CTK was always one I'd recognise on threads and was a real MN stalwart.

What an absolute loss of somebody that was clearly so full of life.

I'd like to get involved with any campaign to raise awareness about meningitis in adults. It almost killed me 3.5yrs ago, when I was 31. Meningitis Now are a great charity.

If anyone sets up a Just Giving page in CatThief's memory could they post a link please? I'd be more than happy to donate.

I did not know CTK IRL but actually calculated that meeting her would make the cost / time of coming to a London meetup worth it! When I saw her name on a thread I'd literally feel as though I was sitting down with a favorite author; one whose voice I had grown to love, who I knew would have me laughing out loud and simplyglad to be alive.

CTK: I hope Zombie was waiting to greet you. Heaven is going to be loud and raucous with both of you sharing MN tales right now.
