"How on board is anyone else?"

Certainly early on in ops posts her colleagues were wimping out on the whole thing (aside from itbitch ).

I think an email (cc-ing the boss) re the hot weather meaning people will want cool drinks and food is a good idea.

Perhaps including something like 'hydration and keeping cool being important for health & safety and concentration levels' so if she rails back SHE can explain why production affected!!

diddl · 09/05/2016 18:15

So does she usually make sure that she leaves the fridge free for "all those lovely cakes"? Hmm

How many will there be that staff lunches and drinks won't fit in??

ToadsforJustice · 09/05/2016 18:18

Grin. MrTCakes.

DidYouBINmysushiyouTWAT · 09/05/2016 18:20

No she doesn't normally leave space in fridge (for cake that was sarky) but we are pigs and scoff eclairs at 8:55am as needs must.

Oh shit. I forgot to cancel the cheque Grin

OP posts:
Aramynta · 09/05/2016 18:23

So she is basically saying "take your shit out at night so I can load the whole fridge with my shopping" Hmm

I feel so much RAGE for you!!!

Applejack29 · 09/05/2016 18:39

But .... would she take out a big, beautifully decorated birthday cake (perhaps with fresh cream so it had to be refrigerated) that had been left in overnight and chuck it to fit in her shopping?? Wink

BorisIsBack · 09/05/2016 18:44

But op you must cancel the cheque.

KimmySchmidtsSmile · 09/05/2016 18:45

So did the email directly come from her then? Is it named as coming from her or has it come from HR at her bequest?
The reply really ought to have addressed it head-on namely:
Dear HR
The fridge is communal therefore I would suggest personal items should be limited to no more than four* per person in any case, so that everyone can fit in their lunch/snack/can or bottle, particularly in view of the warm weather coming up.
The fridge should not be full to the brim of one person's personal items at the start of each and every shift. Such selfishness means that it is never available for everyone's use, regardless of whether it is empty at the close of day or not.

  • personal does not mean an uncooked family chicken ** excludes courgettes which are of course unlimited
Elledouble · 09/05/2016 18:48

Maybe you could put a human skull in the fridge. But do cancel the cheque.

sepa · 09/05/2016 18:55

Can you slap her in the face with the courgette?
Or
Send daily photo emails to the boss of what the fridge looks like with her crap food

PhoenixReisling · 09/05/2016 18:56

Maybe you could buy a courgette cock cake to put in the fridge Wink Grin

MrsHathaway · 09/05/2016 18:56

The boss is actually chickenshit.

Have you submitted the evidentiary photographs, OP? I'm sure I remember your saying you'd taken photos of the fridge full of her daily shopping. Tomorrow will be business as usual so you need to be ready to snap again.

Ambiguity intentional.

smellycar · 09/05/2016 18:56

Did we miss anything on op's name change posts? Don't have the patience to trawl through.

sepa · 09/05/2016 18:58

Crapola. I have missed something about a cheque runs off to investigate

PhoenixReisling · 09/05/2016 19:01

courgette cock cake

To DIY:

Buy a pre-made cake from the supermarket and make the photo upthread as a cake topper/edible topper.

Also, send an email and blind copy in the boss.....asking like a pp said to limit food/drink to four items each.

Viva la revolution

BYOSnowman · 09/05/2016 19:01

I'm not sure if this has been suggested but could you set up an Instagram account for the fridge

Then post a photo of the contents everyday

Baconyum · 09/05/2016 19:07

Ooh yes bcc the boss then she replies asserting her right to use the entire fridge as she sees fit and boss sees that! (Boss also hopefully sees she's not working the hours she's paid for so definitely ref her late starts/early leaving!)

totallystumped · 09/05/2016 19:08

Could you arrange a load of "communal" items? Butter, milk, whatever, clearly labeled "IT dept", "Admin" etc, not exactly personal items then...

LookNiceYah · 09/05/2016 19:09

I'm not sure if this has been suggested but could you set up an Instagram account for the fridge

This would be the reason I finally joined instagram.

catbrushblanket · 09/05/2016 19:10

BYO that is a genius idea!

SymphonyofShadows · 09/05/2016 19:10

If you need a human skull I'm your goth

Binkermum29 · 09/05/2016 19:20

Shamelessly etc etc - it took me eons to find this new thread......

IfTheCapFitsWearIt · 09/05/2016 19:40

Woohooo found you,

lovealookabout · 09/05/2016 19:42

I really hope she doesn't load it up tomorrow- leave a courgette on her chair

Squiff15 · 09/05/2016 19:44

Sepa a thread over a weekend when a poor wedding guest received an email from the bride and groom saying her hundred pound gift (very very generous in my book) didn't seem to reflect the warmth of her congratulations on the day so did she want to adjust the amount. Despite stating about 400 times that the cheque was cashed every second post said you should cancel the cheque. I'm wondering if the fridge hogger is newly married.
