Can it really be five years since the tea-drinking party, led by NormanTheForeman swept to victory in the last general election? Oh yes it can! And today the plastic people are off to the polling stations again.

This year's parties standing for election are as follows:-

Tea-drinking party (leader NormanTheForeman)

Lifesaving party (leader KylieTheLifeguard)

Law and Order party (leader MichaelTheBeachPoliceman)

Military party (leader Sir Ospringe Bapchild)

Legalise Robbery party (leader Jack Jellyhead)

PlaymoLand Independence party (PLIP) (leader Nigel Garage)

Here's a photo of all the party leaders.

I'll be back shortly to tell you a little about each party's main policies.

Polls are open now and will close at 10 pm.

Cast your vote here! Grin

I can see that the voting this year is going to be very close. I might have to get someone from MNHQ to check the votes, so that no-one can accuse me of bias...

TeWiSavesTheDay · 07/05/2015 22:39

has it all been checked and verified?

SoMuchToBits · 07/05/2015 22:45

No, the Playmo people I have counted up the votes, but really do need someone else to check it, as it's so close this time!

Oh bum, I forgot to come back and vote!

It would have been for Norm....

SoMuchToBits · 07/05/2015 22:55

Oh well, at least you had a hot beverage, Pook! Norm would be proud, even though he didn't get your vote.

Oh no! I need to go to bed! I'll have to wait until tomorrow to find out the result Sad

Stealthsquiggle · 07/05/2015 23:06

Now here is a result I am prepared to stay up all night a while for

SoMuchToBits · 07/05/2015 23:51

OK. I have counted the votes.

If you disagree with me, then please ask MNHQ to do a recount, because it is VERY VERY CLOSE!!!

In alphabetical order of candidates

JackJellyhead (Legalise Robbery party) 2 votes

KylieTheLifeguard (Lifesaving party) 48 votes

MichaelTheBeachPoliceman (Law and Order party) 8 votes

NigelGarage (PLIP) 2 votes

NormanTheForeman (Tea Drinking party) 63 votes

SirOspringeBapchild (Military party) 2 votes

So that means that the Tea Drinking party wins 50.4% of the vote, and therefore has a majority (just). I declare them the winners (unless anyone wants to prove otherwise, in which case I will ask MNHQ to analyse the votes!)

Ah well, that's one vote for Norm and one for Kylie received after the deadline. Neither will count, so that's about fair...

Is Norman heading for the palace to have a Brew and be asked to form a government, then?

RustyBear · 08/05/2015 06:40
