Real post I've seen this week.

"Got some cheap stuff for sale if you want anything"

Cue 20 posts along the lines of;

"Have you got a patio heater hun?"

"No sorry"

Have you got a wheelbarrow?

No, haven't got a wheelbarrow.
Xx

3 days later the thread is still going strong. 20 people have been disappointed that the seller doesn't have what they want and the seller has made no effort to make any suggestion what she does have.

Justusfour well she will know the praise for her work is genuine since we didn't know she would see it! Her pebbles are good, if you like that sort of thing.

From one of my local ones:

"Is it garn?"

"What do you mean?"

"du u stil hev ut?"

Nice to see authentic dialect, although her neighbours will burn her for being the wrong side of the border with Norfolk.

"Paint-wankers", love it!

ihate I'm sure there is a market for those out there... Blush

DizzyKipper · 03/11/2014 22:46

Just scrolling through my local one (which mostly seems pretty normal) and came across 7 collectible Marmite jars for £5. Aside from now wondering if there really are people out there who collect and display empty Marmite jars, I can't work out whether or not this is a good deal.

AliceLidl · 03/11/2014 22:50

That mystery item in Red's post, it's probably the mirror but there's a reflection of another mirror in it and in that reflection is the photographer. Their top half looks a bit bare. Is it one of those sneaky flasher photo's or is their bottom half decently covered?

Love the paint wankers, I hope the thread does cheer her up.

Shock and Grin at these. My cousin is in her 40's and perfectly literate but still chooses to write in this style on FB. It's such hard work reading it!

JuniperTisane · 03/11/2014 23:27

Anyone want to pay a fiver for this selection of items. I especially like the ancient Jason Donovan albums.

Mine is usually full of entertainment but is exceedingly quiet today Sad
I can't mock it too much as I posted asking for a hearing engineer, got one within the hour, he did all the work and a really decent price!

goodasitgets · 04/11/2014 03:10

Heating. My hearing was fine GrinGrinGrin

DizzyKipper · 04/11/2014 06:33

Grin Darnit, I quite like the idea of a hearing engineer, could do with one myself.

DreamsOfFreddieInTheNight · 04/11/2014 07:36

inconceivableme · 04/11/2014 09:04

Someone just posted on mine asking for a car seat for age 1+.
Someone posted a photo of a Maxi
Cosi seat for £20 in response and OP is taking it. No questions asked eg has it been in an accident? how old is it? (All seats have a lifespan / expiry date after which they are no longer safe to use) Makes me so angry!! Looking at the buyer OP's open Facebook profile (why??!!) they seem to be able to afford enough foreign holidays yet are scrimping on a second hand car seat from a seller unknown to them. (Yes, I am judging them, and rightly so IMHO!!)
