Our local one is far too middle-classed for all the tat and glitter but it is also used as a local forum for advice and such. I have genuinely seen people asking about bus fairs to various parts of town (phone the bus company, you lazy shite) and people asking for comments on their 'personal problems'...

Mrsjavy, to digress from the thread a bit, DD's nursery once put Cornflakes, pink glitter and desert spoons in a builders tray for them to 'explore' and she did pink glittery shits for days! Never thought about selling them though
