Real post I've seen this week.

"Got some cheap stuff for sale if you want anything"

Cue 20 posts along the lines of;

"Have you got a patio heater hun?"

"No sorry"

Have you got a wheelbarrow?

No, haven't got a wheelbarrow.
Xx

3 days later the thread is still going strong. 20 people have been disappointed that the seller doesn't have what they want and the seller has made no effort to make any suggestion what she does have.

The frozen etc bits really annoy me. I run a business and use facebook as am advertising media, I embroider and categorically will not touch anything character, Disney, TV etc. Coming up for Christmas there are so many people who are flaunting copyright rules-frozen cups, frozen baskets, minecraft jumpers and the other favourite- hampers with alcohol in- the kind you need a licence to sell! It gives us all a bad name, those who play by the rules almost always lose out as people know that someone somewhere will do it- but facebook and the owners of the copyright- invariably Disney could never keep up with the rate that it's generated!

Rant over, soap box away!

Patrickstarisabadbellend · 01/11/2014 23:27

VitoCorleone · 01/11/2014 23:32

Well its rare anything exciting ever happens on my local selling pages, however, there is one guy who pops up every other week or so asking "anyone got a parrot" nobody ever replies, makes me chuckle

Pretty sure i live in hun-ville though, every single comment ends with the word 'hun' on every item for sale. Its so bloody fake!

VitoCorleone · 01/11/2014 23:34

Oh and EVERYTHING is getting 'glittered' and sold around here

myotherusernameisbetter · 01/11/2014 23:35

JingleSpud · 02/11/2014 01:32

Oh god i need to go look at ours.

And i am still wetting myself over the one direction portrait!

JingleSpud · 02/11/2014 01:34

With the accompanying line of 'grab them while their hot'

guaranteedpersonality · 02/11/2014 01:50

This is such a great thread - but I haven't been able to get past the used soaps. I can't decide if I should admire the chutzpah or feel sorry for their evident desperation.

BillThePony · 02/11/2014 04:48

Loving the mens hamper.

Dp has said "don't worry about getting too much this year"

That hamper is ideal, now to track it down.

Galena · 02/11/2014 07:00

Glittered Buckfast? I wonder if DH realises what he's getting for Christmas? Grin

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 02/11/2014 07:21

How is that glittery effect achieved? And surely those wine glasses are useless, you can't drink out of something covered in glitter?

What gets me is someone asking for a really specific item.
"Has anyone got a red pram with green trim and all accessories. Must be cheap and perfect condition. "

If you're that fussy buy it new!

rockpinkpumpkin · 02/11/2014 08:22
