That's great news Chris!

Make sure she takes all her stuff at the same time:) then change the locks, padlock the field gate, and run round the field whooping:)

I'm sure she'll be happy to clear up all the final horse poo in time for the Fuckyouchrisfest:)

Result!

PedantMarina · 10/02/2014 06:55

cautiously optimistic over here...

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 10/02/2014 07:22

Acrossthe, it is the best or news insofar as they have found a field. It is currently being fenced, hence the delay. So hopefully the old boy will be very happy there.

Lavender, my first thought was, "padlocks!"

Anything she leaves behind I'll tell her I'm putting in the layby for collection .

Beryl and pedant, watch this space...

VERY civilised of you!

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 10/02/2014 08:29

Morning. Not surprised at all about UW.

Mistle, hope you're feeling better now.

TheABC · 10/02/2014 08:47

Just shamelessly placemarking!
Can't wait for the happy ending. [Grin]

thegreylady · 10/02/2014 09:57

Well it sounds good. Here's hoping there are no manufactured or real delays. It would be awful if the gods of Winter sent snow in great quantities before next weekend. I hope the horses are being cared for by UW or someone else and they have enough hay and water. I hate the thought of the poor sad stallion standing mournfully in the cold [sucker emoticon]

IdaBlankenship · 10/02/2014 10:04

Hooray! Let's hope this new field is nowhere near your field.
TheABC - cheesecake at 8 in the morning? I like the cut of your jib!

NigelMolesworth · 10/02/2014 11:11

I am doing a small dance of celebration for you. It's only small mind...the full on war dance will be saved for when they are actually out Grin

ExitPursuedTheRoyalPrude · 10/02/2014 11:59

Eek. Just realised I dreamt about this thread last night. The field. The horses. Electric fencing.

Jux · 10/02/2014 12:09

Very nice, leaving everything in the layby for her. Is it really mean to hope someone else gets to it first? Grin

IceBeing · 10/02/2014 12:39

awesome! excellent use of copying in sensible people to the emails!

shoom · 10/02/2014 13:01

Chris, if you happen to spot a thread in a few weeks or months, something along the lines of "we saved a stallion and another horse for these lovely rescue people, but now....."

Well what would you do? Smile

NigelMolesworth · 10/02/2014 14:25

shoom Grin

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 10/02/2014 14:30

Renter, I'm a very civilised person .

Enrique, afternoon, nothing she does surprises me anymore. She's one of life's takers.

ABC, I really hope there is one!

Thegreylady, in all honesty I haven't seen her for more than a week now. That doesn't mean she isn't coming as by parking in the layby I wouldn't hear the car. I saw the horses just now and they looked happy enough. There's some grass in there. It is good to know that he's not having to be PTS.

Ida, me too! I'm surrounded by hardened farmers so it won't be next door at least!

Nigel, I very much look forward to seeing your full war dance Grin

Exit, :) I'm invading your dreams? Please tell me there was a happy ending.

Jux, Grin unfortunately this place is so lovely and crime free, I'm more likely to find someone's put them back in the field for safekeeping!

Icebeing, I'm a big fan of sensible people.

Shoom, I'd buy them an enormous drink and break it to them very gently that they've been had. I really hope whoever had volunteered never wants their land back and that the land is far away from their home.

Yay that is good news, will make a note to check back this weekend!

Have been preoccupied with DC with flu and flooding

OohAahBird · 10/02/2014 17:27

Sorry that doesn't make sense, DC have flu, we live next to the Thames and are surrounded by flooding.

Am making plans for the celebration once they have left, puts thinking cap on

can you post pictures of your field once you have finished cultivating it, would love the land to have wild flowers but DH job is in London and we don't have a spare million or 2 to afford land around here.

AlpacaLypse · 10/02/2014 20:59

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! (Just for the latest update.)

So - can you imagine the wildly over-excited noise I hope to be making this time next week - if they're really and truly gone?

AlpacaLypse · 10/02/2014 21:00

Also you may possibly need another thread. Maybe TheGreyLady will haunt this one like she did the last few posts of Thread#1...

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 10/02/2014 21:22

Oohah, it's a bloody ugly field right now. But I shall. One day it will be beautiful. hope you stay flu and flood-free from here on in.

Alpaca, it's still a big 'if' and there's snow on the horizon!

Is it too soon for a new thread?

Do people really want to know the outcome?! Aren't you all a bit bored by this? It's gone on for a while now. It's just a field. Maybe I should wander off and leave the final chapter a mystery.

Grin

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 10/02/2014 21:33

Just in case it's needed...

New thread Here

GlaikitFizzog · 10/02/2014 21:59

So, what shall we fill this up with?
Horse jokes?

GlaikitFizzog · 10/02/2014 22:00

Q: What is the best type of story to tell a runaway horse?

A: A tale of WHOA!
