Dangerous, sorry to hear you have PND too. It's a bugger. Welcome to all the squaddies, they will be assigned to patrol the perimeters and protect the mn sanctum.

Isn't it amazing how some people live?!? [where is vomit smiley?]

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 24/01/2014 23:22

Freckle, it's horrifying. You wouldn't believe some of the medical stuff they left in the kitchen cupboard too.

Downtheroadfirstonleft · 24/01/2014 23:28

I can also bring a Baileys and Toblerone Cheesecake or ten two...

Alpaca, PLEASE could we have the recipe, that sounds heaven!

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 24/01/2014 23:30

I second that request. Or you could just move in and make me it every night?

Freckletoes · 25/01/2014 00:03

Ahhhh, medical stuff in cupboards-that reminds me of our first flat!! Now he did have SN!

ThomasLynn · 25/01/2014 07:20

PedantMarina

Depends on your society Grin
One I'm in, yes, I will admit it's the clatter of plastic.
The other, no. No, real chain mail. Real sweat. Real catching-the-links-on-the-door-handle-and tearing-a-hole-in-everything-including-the-door.

Considering it's been high thirties all week, I bloody wish it were plastic right now. Next meet is a battle and it's going to be sweltering!

bubblebabeuk · 25/01/2014 07:38

Eagerly waiting for an update on saturdays shed clearing.......da da...... DA!!!! Thought I should add a bit of dramatic theme there....

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 25/01/2014 07:42

Sweaty chain mail, eh? Sound glamorous Grin

Bubble... I'm sorry to have to admit this, but I'm not going to be able to check until tomorrow evening! We're visiting family.

Today's the day.Best of luck

ThomasLynn · 25/01/2014 08:04

Oh, I know right?
40 odd people in chain and plate, 40 degrees and I'm armpit height.

But not checking until tomorrow evening? How very dare you? Angry

mistlethrush · 25/01/2014 09:00

We moved into a house when I was 10 in November. The chain took rather a long time - which meant we'd had an offer accepted on it over the summer - and spent the summer gardening (it was about 40mins from where we had been living) so knew the elderly couple living there quite well. The lady was still quite active - she had two shitzoos (I have no idea how to spell that) and one of them was quite young. She let us know of her 'miracle' of clearing up accidents... which was to fire some soda water at it from the soda syphon. Her husband smoked like a chimney - and my parents had to use a sugar soap wash before they could get the sandpaper to bite to sand the paintwork before they could repaint - I think it took 4 strong washes - that didn't make it 'clean' of course - just thin enough to be able to scratch it with the sandpaper!

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 25/01/2014 09:01

Sorry Blush

Grin at armpit height.

Thanks wakeup, they've got all day to get it sorted so fingers crossed.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 25/01/2014 09:03

Mistle that's 'orrible. At least these guys didn't smoke.

OP posts:
littleblackno · 25/01/2014 09:22

Is it today they are clearing out the shed?
can't wait hear an update. I really really hope it happens.
maybe it's better that you're not going to be there. You'll be waiting around wondering what time they will be there. Then you they will probably be rude and aggressive and you don't need to deal with that.

I may have missed it, but, did you ever comment on the fb post?

Sorry to detract from the festival plans!

IdaBlankenship · 25/01/2014 11:16

AlpacaPicnic Wait just one minute - Toblerone Cheesecake??? What is this thing of wonder of which you speak? How is it possible I lived this long without it? I need to have some right now... where..how...why?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 25/01/2014 11:49

I INSIST on the recipe for baileys and Toblerone cheesecake!

Please. Smile

growingolddicustingly · 25/01/2014 12:15

Just to let you know that the Turkish delight vodka will be ready in time for FuckoffFest Grin

FrankelInFoal · 25/01/2014 13:01

Excuse me, what's this about Toblerone Cheesecake?! I demand to know more!

nickymanchester · 25/01/2014 13:21

Toblerone cheesecake is dead easy.

There are two types of cheesecake. The best - I think - are the ones that are baked in the oven rather than just setting in the fridge. But I don't want to spark off any ''cheesecake wars'' on this thread.

Here is a recipe from Mary Berry:-

Where she says to use 150g dark chocolate you just replace that with 150g of Toblerone instead.

www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/americanchocolaterip_6334

If you want Baileys in there as well then just add about 50ml of Baileys when you are adding the eggs and vanilla essence.

Although, if you are doing the Mary Berry recipe above then I would just add the Baileys to the half that you are not adding the Toblerone to, so you have one bit that is all Toblerone and one bit that is very Baileys ish

AlpacaPicnic · 25/01/2014 13:42

Im in the cinema right now so I think posting the recipe could make me really unpopulsr! But I promise I'll do it tonight!
Feel free to pm me your words of praise :-D

Peekingduck · 25/01/2014 15:09

Noooo! Alpaca, there will be a thread about you playing with your phone in the cinema later!!

QOD · 25/01/2014 15:16

Toblerone cheese cake?!?!?!

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 25/01/2014 15:20

PurpleCrazyHorse · 25/01/2014 16:48

why oh why isn't there a like button on MN. Chris the poem was inspired.

I have nothing to add to the FuckYouFest apart from a 4yo who likes tidying up. We do have a recorder but I've hidden it. Sorry not much use there :)
