I'm sure if you put out a general call we could rustle up a band of DC in the early stages of learning musical instruments to serenade them. DS2's early attempts with the recorder could clear a room, if it had been any higher pitch we would have ended up with a pack of dogs in the front garden.

Chaz, that is the ideal; a band made up of dcs who've been learning an instrument for... 3 weeks ish? Just long enough to perfect getting a really loud noise, not long enough to control that noise in any way.

If you have a mound, maybe consider some cheese rolling races, but perhaps on a smaller scale? (I'm thinking a mini Babybel ) There are always a few mental enthusiastic locals to chase down the mound after it!
