Shouting at me in the supermarket

Sorry am on phone so apologies if this makes no sense but he was doing t-Rex in Asda so i slapped his arm (not hard obviously) and he got really cross and said he'd stand however he wants and stormed off. It was really embarrassing as loads of people were staring and he'd told me to remind him anyway! He's acting like nothing has happened now. Aibu to not just let it drop?

OP posts:

Me 2 now! Going to have to do a T-Rex dance to it now

SillyBeardyDaddyman · 20/06/2012 15:22

I picture this dance as a thriller style one, but with shorter arms...

theDudesmummy · 20/06/2012 15:34

I have never laughed like this on a MN thread...it's brilliant

helenthemadex · 20/06/2012 17:09

were you extras in a scene from Primeval, love that programme

ASillyPhaseIAmGoingThrough · 20/06/2012 18:18

Op please come back to explain things properly

OlaRapaceFru · 20/06/2012 18:40

Something tells me we're not going to get a rational explanation, ASillyP!

Salmotrutta · 20/06/2012 19:02

May I ask Frankie if your DH was wearing his piano wig whilst impersonating T-Rex?

It's quite important actually ... the bikers at the seaside wouldn't like it.

MoonlightandRoses · 20/06/2012 20:51

Salmo - Of course! If he wasn't, then naturally the OP would have been upset.

This statement is going on the assumption of the following being the bits the OP left out you understand:

The T-Rex imitation was due to the fact he'd brought a miniature electric piano with him in the shopping basket and was trying to play with just his fingers. Using his thumbs and beer belly as the supporting frame.

Having forgotten the wig and being prevented from playing led to his storming off into the arms of Sharon the hoor Grin

NotGeoffVader · 21/06/2012 10:31

Went to the supermarket last night. Did a T-rex impression (dinosaur, not Bolan) in the exotic foods aisle. No slapping ensued.
Did get a funny look from a fellow shopper.

swearytramp · 21/06/2012 10:38

sitting at work crying with laughter and only read the first page...

Just marking my place so every time life gets me down i can return . Op legend

TantrumsAndBalloons · 21/06/2012 11:12

Was he cuddling the turnips before or after standing like a t-Rex?

Cos I'd be more inclined to slap him for the cuddling rather than the dinosaur IYSWIM.

DS2 used to do dog impersonations in sainsburys :)

SPsFanjoHarboursDeadCats · 21/06/2012 11:14

tantrums my son is 2 and he likes been a dog at the.moment. in shops, in the street and in the house

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 21/06/2012 11:15

this is hilarious!

TantrumsAndBalloons · 21/06/2012 11:18

My ds2 was a dog everywhere, accompanied by much barking, growling, crawling on the floor.

That was a fun phase.

SPsFanjoHarboursDeadCats · 21/06/2012 11:23

Did you have to call him a different name? I have to call my son Chelsea when he's in dog mode as that's my mums dogs name. Get some looks when your shouting Chelsea at a boy Grin

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 21/06/2012 11:28

Chelsea!! Love it!! Bet people are looking at you and thinking how harsh calling a boy Chelsea.

I hope my toddler wants a dog name...

SPsFanjoHarboursDeadCats · 21/06/2012 11:30

He loves it so I don't stop him. He can be Chelsea when ever he wants. I'm waiting for someone to pull me up on my choice of name. Either that or I give someone the idea that Chelsea would be a great name for their up born son Grin

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 21/06/2012 12:18

My nephew has a phase of thrusting his groin around in tesco and shouting Im Bringing Sexy Back in the manner of Justin Timberlake. So wrong, but so funny.

TantrumsAndBalloons · 21/06/2012 12:20

His dog name was scully.

NoOnesGoingToEatYourEyes · 21/06/2012 12:50

I love Sharon and the dead wasp, but now in my head she is standing by the ruined wallpaper with a man doing a dinosaur impression but with one of his feet in the toilet.

They have a very interesting dining room in my head.
