Sorry am on phone so apologies if this makes no sense but he was doing t-Rex in Asda so i slapped his arm (not hard obviously) and he got really cross and said he'd stand however he wants and stormed off. It was really embarrassing as loads of people were staring and he'd told me to remind him anyway! He's acting like nothing has happened now. Aibu to not just let it drop?

Scrolling through the comments and I’m in stitches!! Thanks for making me laugh after a shitty morning 😂

Whydoiwearsomuchleopardprint · 20/01/2022 10:24

How do you stand like a T. rex?? Am I missing something??

MrsWinters · 20/01/2022 10:39

You should’ve made an owl noise in his face to get him to stop

Twillow · 20/01/2022 10:40

Starts this shit then posts sorry I can't stand around chatting all day Confused

Bellringer · 20/01/2022 10:56

Zombie thread? @HopeMumsnet

JayniSummers · 20/01/2022 11:13

Really unfair , with those lil hands they can't fight back

amusedbush · 20/01/2022 11:32

I know this is a beloved classic thread but the hilarity has always been lost on me because "t-rexing" is completely standard in the neurodivergent community so the OP makes total sense to me. My friends and I are in agreement that t-rex arms are 1. the comfiest way to stand, and 2. the quickest way to spot a fellow ND person Grin

If I don't stand like a t-rex, I feel uncomfortably aware of my arms and I have no idea where neurotypicals put theirs Grin

nothingcanhurtmewithmyeyesshut · 20/01/2022 11:37

I don't think the phone is the issue here...

Are you drunk? Because that would explain a lot.

thistimelastweek · 20/01/2022 11:52

@amusedbush it's always a bad night's sleep when I can't remember where my arms go.

Guacamole001 · 20/01/2022 11:52

This thread is hilarious, as is the owl hooting woman earlier in the week!
Honestly, these people Shock if someone made owl noises in my face in work to shut me up I would not know what to do other than burst out laughing!

Theroughoperator · 20/01/2022 13:27

@Travelbug2

First owl noises now a T-Rex.

What’s next…..

no not now a T Rex 9 and a half years ago a T Rex. How and why did you resurrect such an thread such old thread @CallMeDaphne?
Theroughoperator · 20/01/2022 13:27

Oops typo

Abra1d1 · 20/01/2022 14:11

T-Rex-ing is what some neurodivergent people call the way they hold their arms and hands.

AllTheColoursOfGerberas · 20/01/2022 14:11

Was he riding a white swan at the time?
