Pixi Thanks for you words of encouragement, I'm really trying to be as positive as I can, but every now and then I kind of lose my step and spiral down a bit. Just because there's been so many problems so far, I find it hard to keep the pace going iukwim. Sometimes it would be nice to be able to float about on that pregnancy cloud like I was when I was expecting ds, but if this is my lot I have to try and be thankful for every day.

pixiblue · 19/09/2009 23:23

Oh dizzy I really feel for you. I know you're doing your best and you are doing it brilliantly. I just hope by us keep telling you to it'll rub off and help a little. But we're here for the good and bad days.

I had a nice experience today after adopting Momma's ds1. While out people assumed we were all the same family. It made me realise how times are evolving. When I was little no one ever assumed my dad was part of my family as we were so white next to him, they often used to ask us why we'd brought him along or asked him where he'd got us from. Momma's ds is so gorgeous and good I loved the idea they thought he was mine. We've probably raised a stir at the local coffee morning with all the old biddies, they can barely get their heads around my dcs all being mine and often can be heard to ask the dcs if they all have the same surname. Sadly for them we didn't buy any raffle tickets today, I know they were dying to ask.

Mars Do it. Send them. I'm a supermum you know. 5/7 it's all the same besides I don't think Momma will give me more than one of hers at a time .

Morning all............after trawling thru 3 days posts I see I have not been missed. I am finding it hard to keep up these days, esp with all our new mummies to be, welcome on board! Nothing too exciting to report from here, barium enema went as expected, 15 mins to do the examination and three hours on the loo, came as quite a shock for poor H as he has had no dealings with that bit of his anatomy for over 18 months! Booked a villa for our trip, been offered a 7 bed at a fab price, room each and 2 to spare, wanted my brother and niece to come but they have already booked to go to Turkey, I would like some company, any takers? You would of course have to put up with a grumpy, energetic bossy man, 3 always on the go kids and of course me, wonderful cook, fun and oh yes posh lady!! Not supposed to be sat here though everyone else still in bed, we are off out for the day to the "Wildwoods" animal park as the weather is glorious, have to pack a pic-nic for 7! Have a good day all xx

shabbapinkfrog · 20/09/2009 08:14

Trips I missed you! Holiday sounds wonderful. Hope you have a brilliant day - its grey, misty and cold here - proper Autumn morning.

Im listening to United v City on the radio at 1.30pm - Cooooooooooooooome on you Blllllllluuuueeessssss!!!!!

If I cough one more time my head will explode!!

pixiblue · 20/09/2009 09:57

I missed you Trips Your holiday sounds more and more wonderful, wish I could take up your offer.

Shabs my dad was born in India, he's anglo-Indian, (English + Indian with German thrown in somewhere on the white side). My dad is the darkest of his siblings, which included a very fair blond hair/blue eyed girl, (who sadly died when young and sent my grandmother crazy) she was the 6th child. My maternal grandmother died having her 7th, so I'm dubious about going on from 5... even if we could afford it.

shabbapinkfrog · 20/09/2009 10:03

WOW what a fascinating story. I thought, after I saw your FBook picture, that there was a real touch of the Irish in you You have similar colouring to my little brother and we have a lot of Irish ancestry going on in our mad little family.

Your poor Gran. The loss of a child is enough to send anyone over the edge.
