Panick over - found Pixie on FBook and she has sorted me out!!

dizzymare · 18/09/2009 20:53

Shabbs, poor you When ds had a really hacking cough, the gp said to sit in a steamy room with him. Like a really hot shower running? Have you tried that? It might help, it did for ds, it wasn't a cure but certainly helped loosen things up a bit?

Oh, am home by the way

shabbapinkfrog · 18/09/2009 20:58

We did that last night Dizzy - boiled the kettle in Toms room over and over till it was steamy it certainly helped. Glad you are home love. I do suffer quite badly with panic attacks and I think that was part of it as well - I feel better now. xxxxx

curiositykilled · 18/09/2009 21:16

My DIL has bought Lew a baby doll that giggles when you tickle her tummy - complete with a little pink buggy. At first my DS was not very happy. When he came home from work yesterday Lew was sitting on the chair feeding his doll with its bottle. Danny said he was holding the doll properly when he saw Dad coming home he wiped the dolls mouth with a baby wipe and then tickled her tummy. Danny said 'What are you doing Lew?' Lews reply 'Me ike yooo.' Cue Danny now loving the doll and going for a quiet small cry in the kitchen.

pixiblue · 18/09/2009 21:38

Chops!!! so good to see you! Can't wait to see pics of the wedding. I sometimes wish we'd delayed ours just so I could have the dcs there all dressed up. DD1 is still annoyed that she wasn't invited but DS1 (9mths) was.

Dizzy glad you're home.

Shabs take it easy and use the inhaler if need be. Go see your gp tomorrow if you're still feeling the same.

We're supposed to be going to Toys are Us tomorrow so dd1 can meet Barbie, it's something I would have loved at her age but I don't have a good feeling about it .

curiositykilled · 18/09/2009 21:42

Awww shabs! I might need a little cry in the kitchen now too!

My DS was just like this, when dd was born he was 15 months. He had a baby to care for while I cared for her and was so lovely to it - even gave it booby milk! He really loves his sister though, he ran and cuddled her, not me today when we came to school.

Oh you two stop it before you set me off. We bought ds1 a doll when I was pg with dd1, he had a little blue cheapo pushchair from Woolworths and used to really take care of dolly. I then bought dd1 a crying/feeding doll when dts were born to keep her occupied, every time it cried she'd sling it at me saying "baby crying, you feed it mummy" .

dizzymare · 18/09/2009 22:19

curiosity, yeah I'm doing ok thanks. Got another scan in the morning, to check my amnio levels and ds is coming to see his sisters for the first time

curiositykilled · 18/09/2009 22:21

pixi - lol, this is my dd's attitude! lol Her dad bought her a baby that cries when you press it's tummy - she flings it at me to sort out just like your dd1! lol

She is excited about the DTs though, she has a whole host of imaginary babies with various silly names. She left one on the bus today... She is crackers!

curiositykilled · 18/09/2009 22:30

dizzy - aww that's nice! DS and dd enjoyed all the scans they've been to. There has been some rather loud discussion about using willies to put babies in tummies, babies coming out of front bottoms and why the babies were swimming though! lol Poor DH was quite embarrassed!

curiosity tomorrow I'm going to try and sort out my FB so we can find each other.

curiositykilled · 18/09/2009 23:03

lol - yes, that'd be nice! I am starting to get quite with facebook. It has lost my DH's profile tonight but keeps notifying me that people are commenting on things he has posted... boo...

Give Pixie a hug from me when they get back please xx

dizzymare · 19/09/2009 15:41

C&P'd from another thread because I'm lazy

I told ds this morning we were going to see mummys babies and he looked at me and sharply replied 'No' We got in there and the gel was put on my stomach, mum said to him mummys got jelly on her belly, to which ds shouted 'wobble wobble'. I couldn't stop laughing which made it really difficult for the poor women scanning me. Eventually, we got a good clear image, and he was really really looking. Emily was waving her arm about and ds waved back. Gulp.
It's been a bit of an emotional morning tbh, and I had to come back and get some sleep.

At the moment, Emily's weighing in at about 1lb1 and charlotte's just behind at 1lb, but why do they feel a whole heap heavier

shabbapinkfrog · 19/09/2009 15:49

Awwwww your little girls have got names - and beautiful ones too!!! You are going to have so much fun watching your DS be 'big bro' - he sounds delightful.

dizzymare · 19/09/2009 15:59

I gave them names a while back, but kept it to myself until about 2 weeks ago. It feels wrong talking about them without naming them now? Everytime I see them I fall deeper in love with them, that's a happy sad.

pixiblue · 19/09/2009 19:33

Dizzy love the names. Focus on the happy. Just keep on focusing, you're doing soooooo well so far. Really. Just keep on ticking off those days and keep on looking for the happy in each day. You're getting there gradually and whilst you need to be as prepared as you can be for the unexpected, worrying yourself sick is not good for any of you. Ok I'll stop stating the obvious and shut up. Just want you do know I'm listening.

Shabs I had to go hugless as Poppalove answered and hadn't been briefed on the hugging situation.

Momma hopefully ds1 wasn't as high as last time, I was stricter than at party but actually when I list it (fairycake/biscuit/shared raisinswirl/sweet bag/lollipop/raisin bread/McD's) I was actually rubbish at being strict. Maybe I should start listing everything I buy to stop spoiling the dcs to shame myself into sorting out cash flow probs. I do find it really hard to say no, I impressed myself with my usage of it today, but felt sooooooo mean taking dcs to a toy shop and not allowing them totally free choice. Very interesting the things dcs go for. DD1 (5) wanted a hideously pink ballerina doll taller than dt1 for £25, it comes to life at night to kill people walks. Dt1 (2.9) wanted make up, she adores lip gloss and finally has her own. Luckily thank the gods ds1 (6.7) is still into toy cars. I knew I was in trouble when your ds said I don't like gogos anymore I like machines like Nintendos and xbox .
