D'y ever wonder why we wash towels if we only use them after baths?

I know there was no time and I feel all weighed down with the responsibility of it all, but here we are ladies, a new home...

I always look at these threads and think - hmm, interesting.

Then I see that it's the multiple births chat thread and I have no multiple births issues, so I have to go away again.

Phew, glad we're all ok and no-one is offended or lost. It seems that we also lure in the unsuspecting - DrT you're welcome to stay but I don't think we have any answers - to anything!

I like the thread title - good

I have to say though, that in our house, clean towels have many many other uses too. Mopping up coffee spills, catching the overflow water from when DH overfills the fish tank, mopping the floor when the baby gets out of the bath and widdles straight away...

Those are just the functional uses. They can also be used for decorative purposes, such as Jedi robes, Batman's cloak and Superman's cape.

Hello all

HarrogateMum · 11/03/2009 19:04

Trips - I love that book! I hope you are having fun discussing it, your menu sounds delicious.

I kind of promised the DTs and DD I would take them to Disney World in Florida next year if they were good....is that bad? I know its commercial crap but do you know what, I think I might secretly enjoy it if I go.

PS DH told me last night from his industry dinner in London that I was talking bullshit that he doesnt support me enough. Tonight he came home and has gone out swimming! Tomorrow he is taking his team out for curry....!!! Aaaaaa what do I have to do to get through to him!

duckyfuzz · 11/03/2009 19:06

HM I bribed mine with disneyland last year and it worked a treat

shabster · 11/03/2009 19:11

We went to Disneyland in California in the early 80's - before we had children. It was fantastic - really fantastic

HM - Do you want me to come to yours and 'ramshambooey' your DH? It can be arranged

TeaSleepFood · 11/03/2009 19:35

duckyfuzz - did you bribe your children or DH with disneyland?

I think I'm defo in the minority over disney so will keep quiet. I'm quite prepared to back track when DTs are older and demanding. I'm quite a push over really. Even then, we will have packed lunches and not dodgy burgers!

estar - you're right about the widdling - DS tends to do it as soon as we take his nappy off, so he pretty much gets thrown in the bath!

duckyfuzz · 11/03/2009 19:40

I can't say I particularly enjoyed disneyland, DTs loved it, which made it worthwhile, but now we've done it and we don't have to do it again - hooray

Rubes - i think taking the kids to Paris and not doing Disney would make you an excellent mum. It's shite.

duckyfuzz · 11/03/2009 20:27

in my humble opinion ruby, that would make you a great mother

duckyfuzz · 11/03/2009 20:27

lol, great minds merly!

Oi! Hoochie! Mind who you're calling old!!!!!!!!!!

ChopsTheDuck · 12/03/2009 08:01

ooh a little thread, that will actually load up without my pc crashing.

disney is good! I think it can win over people who don't even like theme parks. Though must admit at Easter I am hoping to have a holiday that for once doesn't involve any theme parks whatsoever! I'm sure Paris must have other things that could be for the kids.

d'y know my dts are gonna be 4 soon! Scary!
