New to MN but like what I read so far. Struggling to get by day by day at the minute and feeling isolated but not enough to make the effort to join in the 'groups' the whole world seems to think are just what I need!!!!

Have daughter of 4 and girl and boy twins of eight months. Not had time since they were born when all three kids have been well, am I just cursed? Throw in a house move that took 6 months, a partner that works away most of the week and a mother-in-law I can wait another lifetime to deal with and I've ended up the sort of person I used to look at and wonder how life got like that.

Anyone give me hope that when the babes are eighteen months I'll feel better?!! If not, anyone tell me that alternate nights of gin then chocolate is an ok passage through?

I rang the Community midwives yesterday who just gave me the number of the early pregnancy unit. I rang but it closes at 2pm! I left a message so I guess they will ring me back today. If they havent called by 10.30 (when they have been open for an hour) I will ring again.

Kelly1978 · 31/03/2006 09:29

Hi, hm, beent hinkign of you. How has the bleeding been?

MadameDeMars · 31/03/2006 09:42

how's it going today HM? Been praying for you!

Easter hols have begun here. The DDs have an INSET day and so are off an extra day. DS1 doesn't finish till next Friday and the DTs are still at playgroup until next Friday. Great [sarky emoticon]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FrumpyGrumpysatonawall · 31/03/2006 09:54

Hi HM, hope you get some answers today. Keep us posted.

In the night (in between the 600 times I was out of bed) someone scooped up the ocean and they are currently pouring it all over my house! Boy is it RAINING. I have been soaked twice today so far and it started out a good hair day Grin!

Off to the docs with DT2 (I have no faith in docs but feel should since he's utterly miserable with a nasty cough). Theyre going to say its a virus, keep an eye on him and call NHS24 if you get more worried.

Easter starts at noon for DD - 2.5 weeks, I'm happy but trembling!!

Kelly1978 · 31/03/2006 11:58

That's what you get for living oop Noorth, fg! Glorius sunshine in Berkshire.Grin I'm hoping it stays nice for when dd finishes school - early finish today then we can all go to the park.

harrogatemum · 31/03/2006 13:10

Hi ladies - I spoke to the Early Preg Unit but they told me to wait and see how it goes for the next couple of days, if I am still worried on Sunday to go in for a scan. They cant have been too concerned I guess, I explained the quantity/colour of the bleeding (sorry if TMI) which is carrying on today but just very sporadically, and lightly. I guess I just have to hope it stops, not sure whether I should go for a scan though if it does stop, what do you think? I just dont know.

Kelly1978 · 31/03/2006 13:16

Go for a scan anyway! It will help put your mind at rest and you can have a check to make sure everything is ok, and see how many are in there. Smile It might be a cyst or something causing it and they will be able to see that. I had a cyst with ds, which later dissapeared.

MadameDeMars · 31/03/2006 14:23

Worth going for the scan when they offer it honey, if only for setting your mind at rest. Rest as and when you can. Smile

What is this rain you speak of FG? Grin

FrumpyGrumpysatonawall · 31/03/2006 15:24

I agree, have the scan. There's noharm getting it done to have a check over.

DT2 is thoroughly glued to my hip (and he's a big boy!) and I can hardly get him to stop crying for long. Really miserable. Doc thinks its croup. I've no experience of it and will search the archives (ooh get me) to see if there's anything I can do that I'm not already. (And I'm doing it all including cartwheels!).

Good luck HM.

MadameDeMars · 31/03/2006 15:27

croup.............hmmmmmmmmmm.... steamy bathroom required!

Kelly1978 · 01/04/2006 16:11

Poor dt2! I've no experience of croup netiher, hope he's on the mend soon.

How are you hm? Getting plenty of rest, I hope?

FrumpyGrumpysatonawall · 01/04/2006 19:04

I've had a challenging day (for me, maybe not you guys!!!) but immensely fun and I love my kids to bits! Hope you'e all ok. Esp HM. x

FrumpyGrumpysatonawall · 01/04/2006 19:07

Fell out with DP last night about MIL and he's lurking so difficult to post. But hey....

MadameDeMars · 01/04/2006 19:39

Well just like eavesdroppers never hear any good of themselves......................

off you pop Mr FG... there's a lovely man!

Off out to supper with friends. Smile

I will check in on my return to ensure that Mr & Mrs FG are still talking lol! Bye for now! Grin

harrogatemum · 01/04/2006 20:19

Well I havent had any bleeding today so I am thinking and crossing fingers that all is ok...STill felt sick this morning so thats good news. Having a really shitty day, DH is a workaholic at the best of times (spends hours into the night on his laptop) and today he has been working and when not, shouting at the DTs. He loves them dearly and is great with them normally but his anger lately is really worrying me. If only it was as simple as just telling him not to work so hard!

Kelly1978 · 02/04/2006 00:00

encryprt his laptop so he can't get on it. Wink Golad to hear the pg is settling down for you. Make sure you still go for that scan tho!

I'm up and can't sleep. Sad On the sofa 2n as dp's bro is staying. THe plan was for me to kip in wiht the older two kids, but they really smell and I can't sleep in there neither. I have no idea why they get so smelly at night, they are washed regularly!

MadameDeMars · 02/04/2006 00:10

Well that's good news re the pg HM. I'll continue praying, but as Kelly says, still go for the scan.

Not sure what to suggest re: your DH. Maybe one evening whilst he's relaxed you could broach the subject of his getting angry. He may be over tired and stressed, but he needs to recognise that shouting at the DTs isn't the answer.

FG... how's Mr FG? Is he behaving yet?

Kelly: hmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe a glade plug in? lol Grin

Kelly1978 · 02/04/2006 00:12

lol. I think a mallet over the head is what I need... Grin

Kelly1978 · 02/04/2006 00:13

Going to meet his family tomo too, and I gonna be falling asleep on their doorstep. Grin

MadameDeMars · 02/04/2006 00:15

You get yourself off your pc and into bed young lady. Put the cushions on the floor if that makes it easier.

Will be praying that you have a good day meeting the rest of the family tomorrow. I'm so glad that they want to meet you. That's a good sign.

Much love and kisses...................GO TO BED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grin

Kelly1978 · 02/04/2006 00:17

thanks mars. x Smile

MadameDeMars · 02/04/2006 00:39

KELLY GO TO BED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kelly1978 · 02/04/2006 00:42

I wish I could, unfortunately there is a man in my bed sleeping with my dp! Grin

harrogatemum · 02/04/2006 13:33

Went for a scan this morning. My dates tell me I am 7.5 weeks but the scan shows a sac with an embryo of no more than 6 weeks. The screen flickers so much that the radiographer called it an "inconclusive" heartbeat.

Basically either my dates are wrong (highly unlikely) or the embryo stopped growing at 6 weeks..Sad

The worst thing is that now I have to wait anothe rweek so they can scan me again to check whether this is the case.

I feel horrible.

MadameDeMars · 02/04/2006 14:09

Right HM..... we are here for you (as much as we can be).

I know that this will be a long week, but honey feel free to post as much or as little as you need to.

I'm praying that the baby is fine. My dates and scans never tallied, and yet my dates were always right.

Much love, kisses and hugs.
