Thank you my friend.

Have always felt 'dis-loyal' to Gareth. I didn't know he was there - the midwives didn't either. They realised that Danny had his arms around Gareth cuddling him close all through the pregnancy so my bump was a weird shape - more pointed that rounded. After they had x rayed - the boys were kind of 'forced apart.' That makes me even more mad. Then a 'normal' birth even though it would have been much, much kinder to Gareth to have a section.

He was born feet first as well. Poor little mite. Before they were born I was never, ever ill. I had pre-eclampsia at the end and still have blood pressure probs now.

Just feels like so many obstacles in their way....nowadays they would have been found on the 6 week scan and Im sure Gareths heart problems would have been picked up as well.

With Matt and Tom I talked to my bump all day, sang songs to them and 'cuddled' them. I did the same with Dan as well......but, because I didn't know any better, I 'ignored' Gareth. xxx

fHi! Just poppin' my head round the door to let yoou know I'm alive and kind of sane (well sane-ish to be more correct) and to see how you're all getting on . Hope you're all great. I really wish I had time to catch up I feel bad coming in and just talking about me.

Twins'll be 1 next week, can ya believe it? How time flies! Both are doing wonderfully well... Both started walking at 8 months, dt1 first and then dt2 then next day... and yes, they've been utilizing their newfound talent to destructive purposes as you might have guessed!

Trio are 4 and a half now! Most of the time, they're great fun, and most of the time they're doing great. Dt1 has terrible asthma which has got worse, so we've been in and out of hosp with her, which has been awful as you can probably imagine... poor darlin' ended up ventilated , in October but we're enjoying an asthma attack free period atm . She's becoming artistic though and she's loving gymnastics!

Dt2 is also loving gymnastics and dance, and she's becoming musical. And she's the only triplet who's not been in hospital recently!! She's developed a habit of singing at night to avoid falling asleep, and keeping her sister up with her which is nice! But we're thinking of trying a new tactic of keeping her awake when she wants to go to sleep and seeing how that goes. Triplets I thought of you during nights of her singing till god knows what time, and thought perhaps it might be a tactic you could try (keeping your trio awake until they're desperate for sleep and telling them that that's what they do to you and then making them get up in the morning as usual) with your trio, seeing as you've tried everything else. Just an idea...

Dt3 is turning into a karate dude who managed to break his arm the other week climbing out of the bath, so in hospital overnight with him which was great fun! lol.

So, yes, they're keeping me on my toes and out of mischief!

I'll stop disturbing the peace and leave now... I hope you didn't hear the racket that is going on in my house when I opened the door to come in!

Merry Christmas everyone, and have a very very Happy New Year. Hope they bring you everything you dream of!

All my love and hugs

P.S. I've never seen the great escape, shocking huh?

frumpygrumpy · 14/12/2008 19:59

Shabs, maybe Gareth knew his heart wasn't going to last. Maybe he hoped if he hid you wouldn't hurt so much when he had to go. He hasn't gone though has he? He's just not got a body. And thats the bit none of us need. Look.........you can't see mine (luckily ) but I'm still here.

Sorry if I talk shit. I am a big believer in life after death.

T&T heloooo!!!!!

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 14/12/2008 20:09

You dont talk shit love....your words always make me think about stuff in a different way. I am at peace with Gareths death it has been many years - 26 years since I saw him. Being at 'peace' also brings its own guilt. Lewis' arrival has brought Gareth back - how mad does that sound! He is more like Uncle Gareth than he is like his Daddy. The twins were not identical and quite different to each other.

This is a hard path to walk....have to carry extra light bulbs to keep replacing that 'light at the end of the tunnel.' All will be well....just not sure when

frumpygrumpy · 14/12/2008 22:06

Shabs, you're lovely x.

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 14/12/2008 22:07

Thanks Frumpster - why? What did I do? Think you are rather marvellous as well

MERLYPUSSEDASAFART · 14/12/2008 22:28

Shabby-frog - I snet you an email last week but it's gone missing. Did you get it?
FG - your post about Gareth made me snivvel too. Your way with words is ....... dunno, I don't have a way with word like you but it is deffo a talent you have there.

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 14/12/2008 22:29

No I didn't get it my love.....I bet it was the one that said you had won the lotto and you were sharing with me

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 14/12/2008 23:01

You around Trips?

frumpygrumpy · 14/12/2008 23:05

Ooh Merly I merely open my mouth and let my belly rumble. I thank you x. How d'y get on with work? Did you suggest you split the difference in your return date? Much too late to spring that info on you IMHO.

Shabs, just because doll, just because.

I wonder when I'll feel like my Christmas name? I just don't feel ready. Will I go for FrumpytheGrumpyReindeer as last year? Or something new?

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 14/12/2008 23:20

My fave film of all time

frumpygrumpy · 14/12/2008 23:28

Shabs, I love that film. Tom Conti is a star! And the voice! I never could watch the new Andy Pandy without melting

"Teddy had been a bit naughty"
"Looby Loo said he shouldn't have played spin the bottle really but that since the gin was the best she'd had, she'd let him kiss her one more time before bed"
"Andy fell fast asleep after notching up one more on the bedpost"

Tom is so good at it. Why haven't they made more? And why hasn't Shirley Valentine been on normal telly for ages?

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 14/12/2008 23:34

I have the DVD and I often watch it. I lurve the film so much. I love how she soon finds out that Tom Conti is, in her words, 'full of shit' but she sees it for what it is. The Greek men I have met are just like Tom Conti's character - but the best 'thing' is friendship with the Rhodians (like that word!) that we have met over the years.

They are loyal, straightforward and tender hearted.

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 14/12/2008 23:39

OK I have to run. Tom is not very well. Barking cough till he chucks up, high temp and the runs to go with it. He has hardly eaten today and has cat napped all day. He wants to sit on my knee!!!! He is almost as tall as me - oh well, it sounds good to me!!!

Night night my love. See you in the morning.

Good night girls xx

Morning xx Have had one hour sleep!! H and Tom have really frightened me - they have coughed literally every 30 seconds right through the night. I came down at 4am cause they were driving me mad. Its all gone quiet upstairs now.

frumpygrumpy · 15/12/2008 09:28

Shabs, I order you to have a nice cuppa and a lie down on the couch, under a duvet or blanket preferably and watch crap telly until you doze off. You'll be having a wobble and tears by Tuesday if you don't. I mean that with lots of love

pinkfrogsroastingonanopenfire · 15/12/2008 09:32

I will do Frumpster. Docs appointment for both of them at 10.30am - Tom is not good at all xx

TeaSleepInASproutFartHaze · 15/12/2008 09:49

'Tis the season to be poorly, tra la la la la, la la la la'

At last my two have begaun to bounce back from their flu and vomitting, I really feel for everyone. At least the oranges and cloves take away the smell of fetid nappies and vomitous clothes (TMI).

FG - I met Tom in a ski restaurant queue when I was 18 and giddy. He asked me to pass the ketchup. I melted like a puddle of slush despite the 30 odd year difference. His voice is amazing, shame he's a bit short for me other wise his luck would have been in

TinTerNetTigger · 15/12/2008 10:32

sickness is clearly in the air - I spent the hours of 3-4.30am mopping up vomit from the DTs bedroom carpet. Nice. Seem to be alright today though - maybe its not the bug? Fingers crossed?
