midwife not concerned - I'm to ring for a scan on Monday (when hospital will have my details) for about 12 weeks

where are you thinking of having this little bundle?

Neeerly3 · 26/06/2008 11:44

no scan for me either - midwife on the 23rd july and will beg then (will be nearly 12 weeks anyway)....

largeginandtonic · 26/06/2008 11:45

I am staying at home. No way i am going to hospital, i may be persuaded by the birth centre but really they have nothing i would nt have at home. I am in for a miserable time with the consultant though, he is going to love me

GettingBiggerBird · 26/06/2008 11:45

Well, for those in need of comfort, I can highly recommend Mars' bobos as a place of refuge. Not that I've tried myself yet, I thought that would be a bit forward on a first doula date. But they looked like a good spot for a sob. What a lovely lady.

Very jealous of the impending holiday, I can't face the thought of flying anywhere for a long time, camping holidays it is from now on...

I sympathise about the dread of a move, poor you Shabs. Hope you forget about it while you're away.

largeginandtonic · 26/06/2008 11:46

We have a very good private clinic here that give you a dating scan for £50, i had one with last baby. It was worth the pain of handing over £50 to find what was going on

oooggs · 26/06/2008 11:46

lg&t - you know more about childbirth than they do

largeginandtonic · 26/06/2008 11:48

GBB you met Mars

She needs to come and be my doula so she can fight off all the grumpy consultants, not sure she will make it here for the birth though. We are a bit out of catchment!

largeginandtonic · 26/06/2008 11:49

Why is it that a perfectly well informed, educated and normally stubborn strong woman turns in to a wobbling wreck in front of them? Do they pump disabling hormones in to the air around them...

GettingBiggerBird · 26/06/2008 11:52

I know what you mean - I am always full of determination about what I'll demand the consultant to do, then crumble into a heap of patheticness when I'm actually there in front of him. I'm sure Mars will protect me.

Neeerly3 · 26/06/2008 11:53

just had a browse - looking about £95.....I'll wait...but to top it all off I am now being sick after reassuring myself that if I didn't feel as bad as i did with boys it CAN'T be twins again - so now I feel worse....TRIPLETS anyone?

largeginandtonic · 26/06/2008 12:20

Neeerly come and visit me, go for a £50 scan here

Tigger - online shopping is easy! I alternate between Sainsburys and Asda and occasionally TEsco. Get on their website and click on wherever the "groceries to your door" or similar bit is - put your postcode in and it will tell you if they deliver to your area. Then just book a delivery date and time and get shopping!! Next time you go on it will remember your list and its easier every time you shop as you just pick from your usuals!

Will wait for FG's advice regarding actually getting hot young man to deliver. I had an Asda delivery last night and it was a young man. But he was not hot.

TiggerLicious · 26/06/2008 13:02

Thanks HM!!! This is going to sound really bad and so house wifey but I have never even used my debit card before what do I do? just put in my bank details?

TiggerLicious · 26/06/2008 13:05

Oh and do they charge you for using a debit card? Or put interest on it or stuff? Its just a basic one that you use and get cash back on. God I am such a knob Sorry!!!

shabster · 26/06/2008 13:05

Tiggy tigs - nice pic love - the derkster was very interested and wishes you lived closer, What a lovely pervert man he is.

Well, EAgent came - but NOBODY from Landlords family. Spent most of the time slagging landlord off to her She said 'I can tell you are angry.' 'Not angry with you sweetheart you are just doing your job - make sure he pays you up front because he is full of empty promises!!'

OP posts:
shabster · 26/06/2008 13:06

Tiggs - you write out a cheque for £1,000 and make it payable to Shabba and Derkster....

OP posts:
HarrogateMum · 26/06/2008 13:17

No worries Tigs - it will ask you for your card details so the money will come directly out of your bank account - how do you pay for stuff if you dont use your card? Are you a cash only lady! I am the total opposite, I normally have about 5p in my purse! They dont charge you interest or anything, but they do charge you delivery, this can vary depending on when you have it delivered but for me, even if its top whack and its £5, I think its worth it not to have to traipse round etc.

And once you have set up your user name and a password etc and put your bank details in, it will remember your details so you wont hvae to put them in again. Happy shopping!

TiggerLicious · 26/06/2008 14:28

Shit I've just done it!!!!!!

Please can someone reassure me that the prices are not going to cahnge by tomorrow?

I have come quite close to my top mark, saved £20 just incase OH Shit I am panciking!!!
