MOMMA, I HAVE JUST THE DRESS FOR THERE, TAKE ME, TAKE ME, TAKE ME!!!!!

Shabs your SIL is fab, she's finally found her use Now, I'm worried about you. You are too quiet. Now you are going to put it all down in a list to us. And we are going to "um" and "ah" and suck in air through our teeth. And then you will feel better.

Start at the top......

(1) you have been told you have to leave your home

(2) you are going on holiday and feel it will be ruined by the news that you have to move out

(3) you hate being the strong one all the time

(4) stay with me and fill in more please...........

Evening girls. Just found another reason to be peed off

DH feels poorly and very down He will take Tomster to school on Friday morning whilst I GO BY MYSELF to the Housing advice. sick of listening to 'you know how nervous I get, please can you go and talk to them you are the stronger one in our family, the one who can cope GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

For the first time in my life I cant eat anything....feel really, really stressed out. Usually I eat like a pig when I am like this..can only be a good thing I suppose.

Oh Shabby. What a bummer about your house .
We've had to move twice because of landlords selling. The first time I actually came home to find the estate agent showing viewers round the house . The landlord had given them a key and said it was fine to go in . As you can imagine I was fuming and the agent was not impressed either. It was rumoured though that what he wasn't chucking down his neck he was snorting up his nose (the l/lord that is).

shabster · 25/06/2008 22:16

I do have a cunning plan Snorris and I have checked this is legal with the Housing Advice offices. A few years ago he had double glazing windows and doors fitted. The front and back doors came with two keys. I asked the landlords father did they want one. He said 'No, we have known you long enough to trust you completely.'
On Saturday our neighbour is taking us to Manchester airport and looking after our hamster!!! He will be having one key and the other is coming with us on holiday.
My neighbour is a great bloke but very, very racist...I know that is not funny, big or clever but he is the ideal man to keep our landlord out.

The wonderful lady at the Housing advice said 'it is legal and you are perfectly within your rights to take your key.' So, therefore, he has no chance of getting into our house till we are home.

I hate this kind of situation, my behaviour sounds childish now I read it back.

The Estate agent is coming back at 11.30am tomorrow and even though my heart is not in it I will make sure every room is clean and tidy and smells good.

Shabs, I like the way you're thinking. So for you that you are having to stress over this when you should be on cloud 9 because of Lewis and Faliraki. I totally understand that you will clean and tidy - I would do the same, although I'd be muttering under my breath every minute. I do hope you get some positive answers on Friday.

Momma, that place looks just wonderful...I did have a quick look at tariffs, thinking ooh maybe DH and I could go there for his b'day - um not unless we win the lottery in the next couple of weeks. Mad prices, just mad .

V. tired today and have my first session helping with Year 1 reading at school tomorrow, which I'm really looking forward to, followed by a meeting with the business manager and the head about the next school event. Weird how that feeling of trepidation of going to the head's office never quite leaves you .

snorris · 25/06/2008 22:33

That's the sort of thing I'd do! .

I had thought it strange when we moved that there was one more back door key than the front door keys. I now know that the landlord had kept one. When we went away for a few days I left a key on the inside of the front door so it couldn't be opened from the outside and we left by the back door .

MERLYPUSS · 25/06/2008 22:35

Shabby - Clean the house but complain loudly about the dodgy plumbing, heating etc when the E/Agent comes.
Bloody landlord

shabster · 25/06/2008 23:06

Good night girls - I am knackered - and tomorrow is another day in paradise.

Oh poo I need to finish packing!!!

MERLYPUSS · 25/06/2008 23:11

shabster · 26/06/2008 07:32

Morning girls - you OK?

OP posts:
ChopsTheDuck · 26/06/2008 07:51

Wouldn't it be worth getting friendly with the estate agent? He may know of any good lets coming up.

shabster · 26/06/2008 08:00

You know what Chops I am coming home after the school run and cleaning every room and then making sure the 'top up' rent money is ready plus a cheque for the rent due while we are away.....all the time thinking 'HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO US.'

My problem is that I try to do my best all day every day - I dislike confrontations, hate bullys etc etc. Landlords problem is when I loose my temper it stays lost for hours and hours - in temper I am sarcastic and not a very nice person.

There are loads of decent properties in our area - it is the problem of finding approx £950 for the bond, deposit etc

We will see what this morning brings. It is a good idea though sweetheart.

ChopsTheDuck · 26/06/2008 08:10

I know what you mean, I'd be fuming too.

Hopefully, falikri will take your mind off of all this, maybe you should look for a place there.

shabster · 26/06/2008 08:25

Would live there in an instant....need a pot of gold to do that though!!!

Thanks for your words Chops - all will be well....just not sure when

signed off sick till 9th July

largeginandtonic · 26/06/2008 11:34

Ooogs why are you off sick? Are you ok?

Momma my parents have a bit of a thing for Art Deco and that hotel is their fave place to visit. No kids allowed and you have to stay for a minimum of 2 nights at some extortionate rate. They love it so much that 3 years ago they renewed their wedding vows there! It was a fantastic day with many of us taking over the place Lovely pics, lovely memories.

I remember it well until the tractor ride home, all goes a bit hazy then. I blame my 2 Uncles for buying me killer champagne cocktails. Apparently i invited everyone back to mine for more fun and promply went straight to bed I was sooooooooo sick i didnt drink for about 6 months! It was so worth it

oooggs · 26/06/2008 11:35

just pregnancy related - feeling sick all the time (being sick but not often) exhausted and generally struggling - same as the other pregnancies so no suprise really

fantatsic memories of Burgh Island though

largeginandtonic · 26/06/2008 11:35

Shabs have you packed yet love? Forget about the house, nowt you can do while you are on holiday. You can always stay with me if you like when you come home.

largeginandtonic · 26/06/2008 11:37
